I bought the large in these because a previous purchase of Icebreaker socks was very, very tight, though I COULD get them on. The large fits a little loosely but I can wear them, and they are comfortable . I wanted socks with wool, thin, and that were higher than the ankle. These socks fit all my requirements. Maybe I should add that I wear a size 8.5 shoe.

Love these - so well made and fitted to your feet. I wear size 8 to 8-1/2 shoe and wear medium size, but would be curious to see how a large would fit. These are pretty warm. I wear thinner hiking liners and other thin styles for office/everyday wear. My husband now loves Icebreaker socks too!

LOVE these socks it's just a shame they are so pricy! Love how snuggly my foot feels in them, they definitely don't slide around like a lot of the other cheaper athletic socks that I've bought in the past. I like to use them for hiking and running in all conditions and they work great.

Wore on hiking trip 80-90 degrees weather. Light breathable fabric on top a light padding on bottom, toes and heel. Wore on 4-5 mile hikes and worked out great with no foot sores. Breathable and was and dry quickly.

At present I haven't worn these socks for a walk so that is the only reason I have given them for 4 stars. I have tried them on and they are very comfortable, good quality and fit well to size.

Very nice merino wool blend socks,they have been made to a high standard and I would definately order more of these when the price come down again.

Purchased specifically for a 60 mile hike over difficult terrain, warm and comfortable and wicked well. Worn with liner socks and no blisters!

Does a great job keeping my feet warm when running in cold winter weather. They do not add bulk so my running shoes do not feel to tight.

Nice warm socks. They pill somewhat in the wash but they are cushy and fit well.
