Well made, slim fitting, soft as hell, great color combos, and warm for what it is. I tested this last night in the Boston area. I had on just this and an Arcteryx beta shell, and, though the breeze was wafting in, I was comfortable. It was 28F out. I then put on a Patagonia R2 over this, and was sweating after about 20 jumping jacks. This thing is warm--and its not even the 320 weight merino model.There was quite a bit of chatter on the Icebreaker website and even on Amazon about sizing. I am 6', 200lbs, in decent shape, and the large fit me well. If I were in tip top shape, I'd probably get the medium, though the sleeves may be too short at that point.Overall,

The quality of Icebreaker is unquestioned. The quality of this top is excellent too - quite heavy - either a thick mid-layer or light outer layer. I love the half zip and thumb holes. I know from past experience of the brand that the wool is not itchy and stands up to washing without any bobbling etc.So why the star removed? Well I had to return the product because it was so baggy on the torso. I know I am a size L in Icebreaker kit but although the shoulders and arms were pefect, the body had way too much material. I am 6'1" with a 32" waist and sadly for me there is no size of this top that will fit me correctly. I really don't know why they added so much material to the torso,

Very comfortable, great quality merino wool, but not even close to form fitting, too broad especially in the chest area. The only areas where it really fit well were the neck area, which is actually slightly too small and the shoulder area. I am usually between an M and an L but this medium sweater was too large for me. As icebreaker is an outdoor brand you would expect it to fit well for athletic people but this seems to be designed for a rather larger belly.Another downside for me is that the arms are too short for me, I have to uncomfortably stretch the arms to fit in the thumb holes.

Will never go up another mountain without one of these.Good quality (as expected) and great performance. Felt a bit like overkill on the more clement days, but after the initial 'oh Christ, I'm melting' phase, my body temp seemed to regulate better than I thought it would, and the zip dumps heat very well I found.Astonishing thermal gain to weight ratio.Mildly itchy when first worn, but you don't notice after 5 minutes or so.

Got this for snowboarding, very warm although I layer with it when temperature drops, I have another one in black and prefer the red but realised I didn't need a second one as I could probably wear this for 6 days happily without washing, I generally use it as a mid rather than base layer. I also wear it when out hiking and just walking as it is comfortable, breathable and may just be the placebo effect but also feels warms

This is lightweight and very packable garment. It is also very warm for the weight. I can wear this with a down jacket at nighttime with strong winds and temperatures ranging from mid 40s to low 30s. Most of the time I wear this as a standalone in mid temperatures without a jacket. I like the thumbhole's in the sleeve and the zip up mock T , it gives you a variety of ways of wearing the garment to stay warm or cool down.

Possibly the best sweater I have owned. Will definitely be buying another one when I get the chance. This superfine Merino wool is non itchy and does not retain water like cotton. Also, it does not retain odors. A perfect active-wear sweater that has a slim fit cut so you can wear it on more dressier occasions too.

Icebreaker are the best thermals - warm and don't smell so can be worn multiple days running on hiking/camping trips. The previous one lasted over 10 years with frequent use. Love the high neck and zip so great keeping warm skiing then unzipping to cool down inside. Nice long sleeves and body and thumb holes.

Slightly larger fit than all the other base layer tops from icebreaker, however, it is still does what it needs to. Can be worn for prolonged periods without those nasty odours and keeps you warm. Wear it as a top or part of a layered system, it will keep you warm.

Honestly, I returned mine because I changed my mind about the style. I DO have other similar products and my only complaint is not having MORE of them! Great stuff; comfy, warm, lasts . . . a little scratchy, but I like it.

Very warm, fits well and is extremely comfortable. I bought two and in the winter months they're like a second skin. Machine washable too which is an unusual bonus for Merino wool. Best top ever.

i have been wearing this shirt daily for years and love it. own several weights, depending on predicted temperature i choose a shirt.

This was my go to Winter trail running top. Love merino wool for the anti bacterial properties and love icebreaker. Great stuff!

Good material and warm. Bit long in the sleeves for me. Possibly slightly looser than than expected.I am 40" chest.
