I've been a fan of merino wool (breathable, warm when wet, etc) and Icebreaker (except their "everyday" range which is poor quality) for many years now. I bought this top as a midlayer to wear under fleeces etc in the cold. A few points to note - firstly, the sizing. I'm normally a Large in Icebreaker, which with a "slim" fit (as this is described) will end up reasonably tight - perfect for layering. This however in size Large is looser than that - more like a classic "jersey". As it happens, that works fine as now I wear it more as a light jumper with a long-sleeve base layer under it when it's cold. But if you plan on wearing it as a fairly tight baselayer I'd need a Medium so would suggest going for the smaller size in that case.Sizing apart,

An excellent product, tested as the only intimate layer under a windproof gore at 3-4 ° C for about 50 km, all good, even if we are at the limit as temperatures and it would have been better to have a 260 gr / sqm. Good idea of the inserts for the thumb, so that the hand is protected. The evaluation is very good compared to the odors deriving from the sweat, with no comparison to high-end underwear but with synthetic fibers. It can be washed without problems at 30 ° C and also dries quickly enough. Dress wide, non-adherent and to be an intimate is a problem. Add to the previous review, the fact that the inserts on the back and along the arms disperse too much heat, my back suffered a lot, Better to have the same fabric on the whole shirt.

There are lots of other merino wool brands out there, but for me, Icebreaker stands the test of time and never disappoints. Received the product In a timely fashion. Thank you!

Great product, use it for riding in the winter and climbing in the alps. Keeps you warm and dry and cool at the same time
