Originally purchased these to go with a steampunk costume - After spending much time searching for an ideal Victorian laceup style boot with a lowish (but not flat) comfortable heel, and with suitable steampunk look, I was getting frustrated with just finding either cheap imported synthetic material boots, extortionate prices for specialist made footwear, too bulky, too low or too high a heel, and hardly ever in my small size 3...then a friend pointed me in the direction of this Hush Puppies Vivianna boot....and it was love at first sight! The shape and design fitted all my 'wants' and to find they were leather and for a price well below what I was expecting to have to pay....they fitted the bill perfectly.I read up on other customer comments, satisfied by how comfortable they found them to wear...but have to admit the suggestions that the ankle is perhaps a little wide (I have narrow feet and skinny ankles) worried me a bit. However, saying that, I also intended wearing them with spats that would cover that area so seemed not too much of an issue....being leather, and comfortable (the important bit to me), and fulfilling all my design criteria overrode any concerns and I knew I just had to buy them.When I received them I have to say I was delighted! The tan colour was an almost exact match to the leather straps etc on my costume and they are perhaps slightly more 'antiqued' than the photo shows...which again is perfect for the steampunk look. They fit well, really are uber comfortable and make my little feet look super cute and dainty. Yes, they do gape at the ankle and some people will find this an issue...but in my case, it wasn't a problem. The elastic laces are annoying ( I also think they cheapen the look of the boot) so I've replaced them with proper brown material ones which actually make the boot feel more secure across the front of the foot....and I have managed to pull them a little tighter. The leather 'tongue' is stitched in place but I have managed to crease and soften the leather enough so that there is more 'give' to enable the laces to tighten a bit more...good for me with narrow feet but I guess majority of people wont need to do this....and since there are the additional zips at the sides, once the laces are done up, they can be left untouched. Worn with spats and additional clip on steampunk cogs and embellishments to the fronts they completed my costume wonderfully and drew many admiring glances, comments and queries as to where I got them.The story however doesn't end with them being just an one off costume item - they are so comfortable I am now wearing them most days (minus the costume embellishments)! I'm not one for wearing heels (I have back and hip pain problems) but these are a perfect height for me when I want to dress up a bit more and I've managed to stay on my feet wearing these without issues for far longer than I do in my other footwear....this is probably down to the claimed shock absorbing heel pad, flexible insole cushioning and ultra-flexible tread design with flexible rubber outsole featuring incline technology. The sole is nice and grippy and I feel safe walking in them. Teamed with jeans and trousers they look fantastic and have even got the approval off my fashionista friends who know their footwear! I mean, remember, these are made for everyday use...they are not 'costume' boots...that just happened to be what I'd originally purchased them for...these are damn good leather boots intended for more use, made by a quality trusted company and they won me over and enchanted me and have become a favourite of my footwear collection and really earning their keep. They are certainly worth the money and with proper looking after will last me a long time.

After having my eye on these boots for quite some time, I finally went ahead and purchased them a couple of days ago, as they were great value compared to other sites I had seen them on! I bought them in tan and they arrived earlier today via one-day delivery- and they don't disappoint! They are very well-made, with lovely soft leather; and I love the colour too- they are a lovely burnished leather with such a good shine to them. To look at, they are gorgeous.I have quite wide UK size 7 feet, but my shoe size can vary between a size 6 and an 8, depending on the shoe. I worried a bit that the boots weren't going to fit around my wide toes and high instep,

Just an update-I've had to send these boots back twice and finally (and very reluctantly) ask for a refund because after a few weeks the sole has started coming away at the front and letting the rain in! Very disappointed as I really enjoyed wearing these boots._______________________________________________________________________________I bought these after reading the excellent reviews. I was looking for a pair of boots that would be comfortable enough for me to do the school run in then go straight to work in. These boots have certainly proved their worth! I was worried that being Hush Puppies they wouldn't be very trendy (I am 26!) but actually they look great and lots of my friends have been asking about them!

These boots are lovely, I am a size 6 and these fit perfectly. They are really pretty inside and out, they have a soft lining and a flower pattern insole. The fit round the ankle is not too tight. All in all a lovely boot.I also bought the Tiffin Verona style but I am returning those, the 6 in the Tiffin Verona feels more like a 6.5 and they were really tight round the ankle once the zip was done up. They didn't have the nice lining and insole either.As for Amazon, I paid for One-Day delivery and waited in for my parcel that never arrived. I was told it will arrive within 2 days 'without fail' I wait in again and no parcel. I chase the parcel to be told it was damaged in transit and was sent back to Amazon,

I was looking for a very specific shoe which would be comfortable yet smart to wear with trousers, for an important business trip overseas. I had a fruitless search on the high street and turned to the internet - always have been a bit dubious buying shoes on the web. I was due to have knee surgery on my return, and so comfort was paramount but I wanted a little heel to look smart. They do not disappoint! The heel height is perfect. I considered wearing as slippers, they were so immediately comfortable! The only downside is as others have said, the ankle is a little wide, and the lace is stitched so not possible to tighten. That being said, the positives far outweigh the negatives.

I bought a pair of Vivianna boots in dark blue more than 3 years ago and I have worn and worn them. They are comfortable and stylish and have lasted really well, but, they are now past their best so I wanted to get a replacement pair; unfortunately, for some reason, the manufacturers have deleted the navy option from the available range. Why? they were perfect with jeans and so much more. The dark green seemed the best compromise, and I am happy with them, but they are not quite such a good colour as the navy. I shall hang on to my old ones, they still have a bit of life left, and I am hoping the green ones will tone down a little, as they are still as comfortable, just not dark blue!

Once you've bought one pair of Hush Puppies you realise their sizes do come up on the small side and buy accordingly. I have these, 3/4 length boots and walking-boots-style and I'd happily buy more pairs. I find I can buy my "normal" size if I'm only going to wear ordinary/thin tights or one thin pair of socks with them - there isn't any spare room but they are not pinching either. If you want extra warmth or you need extra layers to protect your toes (or feet generally) because they are prone to rubbing, I find you definately need a size up. Also the clearance into their footwear is okay but not generous which might be an issue if you have a high "rise" to your feet.

Not one for wearing any shoes with a heel, it was with trepidation that I went searching for a pair to wear for my son's wedding. I have a an ankle length, aubergine silk suit for my outfit, rather Downton Abbey in style, and I could not believe it when I found these on Amazon. After reading the reviews, most of which mention comfort, I ordered and was delighted to find they not only fitted but were supremely comfortable due to the cushioning on the inner sole. They look so classy and expensive you would really think they were a lot more more money to buy. The colour is very unusual. It's definitely not purple and it's a maroonish aubergine. Gorgeous. Very pleased with them and myself for finding them.

Received the boots well packaged and within quoted postage timeframe. Absolutly delighted as I had seen these boots last year in a local shop but thought them dear at £69.99. This year they are in the sale in the same shop for £75!!!! So you can imagine my delight when I found I could buy them on Amazon for £49.99 with free postage.Wore them as soon as they arrived and found them very comfortable..as all Hush Puppies are. I now have a collection of Hush Puppies, shoes and boots, don't think I could wear any other brand now! My daughter was browsing through the net for some shoes that she so desperately needed for going to a parties over the festive season.On coming upon these "HUSH PUPPIES", the world stopped still and straight over to her father with that loving smile that says "THIS IS GOING TO COST ME MONEY". after the cuddles and kisses, I went and bought these "HUSH PUPPIES", for her.Well! she liked them so much that her mom bought her another pair|(different colour), and behold then, her husband,(Alan) bought her, her 3rd pair. Well that speaks volumes.So I suggest YOU ALL RUSH TO YOUR NEAREST SHOP AND GET YOURSELF A PAIR OF THESE FANTASTIC "HUSH PUPPIES", BEFORE MY DAUGHTER BUYS THE LOT , AND LEAVE ME(HER DAD)

These boots are so comfortable. I wore a pair for the first time yesterday for about 12 hours in town. Not a pinch! The wide shape at the front, curvy inside, supportive back and of course the opportunity to adjust the fit using the laces mean the boots don't have to be broken in before first use. When I got back home, close to midnight, I was in no hurry to kick them off. Very unlike me! I ordered the red, green and grey, and I'm on the p[prowl for other colours. Really comfortable boots with plenty of room around the toes (nice rounded shape, not narrow and pointy). The dark brown is actually kind of two tone brown (almost dark red) and black, and the leather is very shiny. This gives a great vintage/steampunk look. As other reviewers have mentioned, the tongue is sewn in place, so the laces are purely decorative. I have changed them for some normal, non-elasticated ones to stop them from coming undone. Could also be changed for ribbon or lace for a dressier look, and since they play no role in actually holding the shoe on, it wouldn't need to be particularly strong lace.

These shoes fit like a glove. Okay, that's a joke, not a good one, but it makes me laugh. Let's start again. These boots are delummy. They make me feel like Mary Poppins. They're a beautiful shape. The leather is soft. The style is retro chic. The lavatory heels (yes, really!) are cute and not too high. They're quite wide fitting so rest assured, even if you have a foot like a cart horse, these will fit. They make me feel ladylike and as if I want to twirl my parasol and dance on a roof with Dick Van Dyke, surrounded by jolly chimney sweeps singing chim chimney. I might even change my name to Mary! Theyr'e practically perfect in every way. What are you waiting for?

Hush Puppies are notorious for being extremely comfortable, and these don't disapoint, I have incredibably awkward feet, scrawny toes, chicken feet, but prone to pain if wearing shoes for any length of time, I am a size 3.5, which as you can imagine is very difficult to find shoes that not only fit, but are comfortable, I ordered these in a size 4, allowing for socks. Due to the elastic laces, you can effectively have them as tight or as loose as you like, they are padded for extra comfort and I have had no problems wearing them upto now, I think it's safe to say, Hush Puppies have re-designed their range to adapt to a more versatile person, comfort doesn't mean frumpy now,
