These look much as you would expect them to: five-eyelet lace-up, “flat heel”, i.e. instep only slightly raised, and a tough rubber sole. Branding: brand name etched into the outside of each heel, on a small tab towards the front of each shoe (green on one shoe, red on the other, and matching colour circle underneath the heel), and a larger Kickers tag, in matching leather, attached to the left shoe. Either retro, or a style which has never gone out of fashion, take your pick. The insole is tough but slightly padded, and seems to be glued in. The boots are unlined, thus the reason for the warning in the box warning “the colour fastness of the unlined leather within this shoe cannot be guaranteed and some colour transfer may occur”.I’ve never had much of a problem with unlined leather insides, so they’re probably just covering themselves. The shoes are treated with “Micro-Fresh” to reduce odour. The pair I received for review were black, size 5. All the black sizes are around £55, which is reasonable value. I asked my grand-daughter (16) to try them for size; she usually takes a 3.5, but said these weren’t that large on her, so the sizing appears to be on the small side. She found them comfortable, commenting that the raised instep inside gives good support, and not surprisingly she liked the style. The overall quality is good: good leather which is soft yet strong, decent laces (unlike some footwear where the laces break after a few weeks) and upper properly welted to the sole.Usual Kickers boots, really; hard-wearing, good ankle support and timeless style.

I have a pair of the low version and I love them - the detail in the inner sole is wonderful, a cushioned gel that makes them ideal for 7-8 hours daily wear, and the fact they are real leather means they can withstand a polish and continue to look smart as time goes on. The boot version is very 90's Kickers and well in with that retro look people are going for these days. Almost a bit Doc Marten boot in the style, they're the classic Kickers look in a shoe that's really easy to wear without any aches or problems. There is however one inherent issue with them. They're almost marketed as the original Kickers - back in the day when school shoes lasted the whole school year because they were made so well, that's what we expect from these. But capitalism, people! They've been outsourced to a poorer country for manufacture and the designs are remade designs of the originals, with costs cut on stitching techniques and materials...like all branded shoes nowadays too. Vans have done the same, as have Converse. It's just what happens. Anyway, tangent aside, the problem is that the stitching doesn't last if you wear them consistently, and like all branded shoes again, i'd expect a solid 3 months out of them, but not much more.To be honest now, all you're really paying for are those red and green tabs, the branding, and to look 'cool'. That being said, they do. So if you are willing to pay for the design, and a shoe that's comfortable, then I would say they're still worth it.

Let me start this review by saying I LOVE MY NEW KICKERS,SO COMFY!! and at under £55 they are at least £20 cheaper than the price in most shops, so a real bargain. Now the sizes, I tried these on in a shoe shop before I ordered them from Amazon and although I'm always a size 9 in every shoe I buy these were slightly big for me, I tried the size 8 but they were too small! The girl in the shop said this happens a lot with kickers so why they don't do these in half sizes is beyond me, If they did a size 8 1/2 would fit me perfectly. So c'mon Kickers half sizes in this boot PLEASE!So I pondered for a while before ordering them as I knew they just didn't fit me the way they should, but in the end I couldn't resist as I just love the look of them. I thought when they came i would try and pull the laces a bit tighter and then they may fit a bit snugger, but that didn't work! Then I had a brainwave, what if I put on 2 pairs of socks! and guess what, they fit perfectly!! RESULT!I'm 47 and can remember these when they first came out, I could never talk my dad into buying them for me back then, prob cost far too much money for my poor old dad back in the day, but I've finally got them now!! My wife says I'm having a mid life crisis, maybe shes right! but who cares, they look great, Do yourself a favour and buy a pair NOW!!

I passed these to my wife to reviewIt's always handy to have a pair of black boots for jeans so I was happy to try these Kickers Ankle boots in black as I remember my daughter having pair of red ones as a teenager as loving them. They are stylish and the leather is soft. The boot is light weight and the sole has good grip. The cushioning inside the boot is soft and comfortable.I never normally wear new boots or shoes for a long period of time during a first outing but these I did and found them to be comfortable to walk in however my feet did feel a bit squashed in them and as I haven't got wide feet and I put this down to wearing them for a long period of time. However they still felt a bit tight on the second outing but still fairly comfortable and I may be a bit sensitive as I hate uncomfortable feet. They look really good with jeans and I will continue to wear them as I am sure they will settle down as they mould to my feet.I cannot comment of the longevity of these boots as I have only worn them 3 times, they do seem well made however as an adult I do not give my shoes the same use that a teenage would.

My feet tend to fit a size 4 or 5 depending on the make and these boots from Kickers were great for me length wise but I needed to stuff them with some damp newspaper in order to get my feet in them comfortably width wise. Once this was done however they fitted brilliantly. I also have a pair of Kickers shoes in a size 5 which needed slight stretching in the width but were good length wise, a bit bigger than these but not in an excessive way.I wear these boots regularly when I am walking in slightly tougher terrain and they are fab. They provide great support for my feet inside (I need good arch support) and also for my ankles. They also give strong protection for my feet and ankles against brambles and mud.As with all Kickers the soles of these boots are thick and sturdy and provide great grip and cushioning for your feet. Some reviews have found quality problems with these boots but so far I have not found this. They are wearing well and have not split or become damaged at all.

My daughter found this both true to size compared to her other shoes at the same EU sizing and, most importantly, all-day comfortable. She normally wears something more delicate but likes having the choice of a beefier low cut boot if the weather's rough or she expects to be yomping around a bit. Time will tell how well they hold up though she's likely to outgrow them before they wear out. Which leads me to my only concern - the price. For a shoe that is often mimicked in the supermarket own brands, what do you actually get over and above when you choose a Kickers branded version. To my eyes, nothing. These are a generically manufactured medium quality boot but at a price that I would expect to pay for my own adult shoes (factoring in sales prices).I like them but I feel that they don't offer enough over the competition to justify the additional price.

I ordered the boots for myself in a size 5/38 and as an adult they're just for occasional wear. They look good and are nicely presented in a solid card box with tissue paper wrapped around the boots. With regard to the sizing the boots fit well even though they're a little bit narrow. Laces are more than long enough to comfortably knot but; the ankles are quite long and the leather around there is hard and stiff. I had blisters within minutes and I'm hoping the leather softens quickly or I won't be able to carry on wearing them. The black leather has a soft finish and is easily scuffed but the overall quality is good. Soles are thick and have a good tread for times when the weather is poor and surfaces slippery. My main concern is the thick, solid leather at the ankles but otherwise they are decent boots and I like the simple design.

My daughter raved about these when her friend at school bought some and of course I was begged for a pair and I started looking around, the cheapest I could find was £55 which isnt a fortune but hey ho so I started to look elsewhere mainly because the local shops had simply run out of stock so looked on here and was more than surprised at finding these shoes at this price, now who wouldnt like to save ove £20 on a pair of shoes, well after reading the reviews went ahead and ordered having only one misgiving and this was about the width as some have raised this point.I need not have worried the shoes arrived a few days after order went in and fit so well my daughter wont take them off !!!If youfind yourself in the same boat go ahead and order and save some money into the bargainGreat buy thanks Amazon

These are a strong, chunky pair of ankle boots for men. These are a size nine and my son is a size eight, but I am hoping these will last until past the summer, so he can get some wear out of them in the Autumn/Winter. Even though the weather is nice now, he has been wearing them, to try them out, and says they are comfortable. I thought they looked quite stiff and was worried they would hurt, but he says that, although supportive, they have plenty of give. The sole of the shoe is thick and looks as though it will withstand all kinds of weather and walking (I will update if this does not turn out to be the case). It laces up well and will be ideal for the winter. These will certainly withstand puddles and keep feet warm and dry on the walk to, and from, school.

Kickers can generally be relied on and Mrs Gumby is loving these boots. They’re made to a high standard from quality materials with some nice detailing. She mainly buys Ecco shoes, and always a 37 – these Kickers in a 37 are a good fit and comfortable for all-day wear (after a little wearing in around the house and garden). We’re concerned about the reviews saying the boots fell apart after a short time. It’s possible they bought fakes – they don’t say which seller they used, unhelpfully. And I have to say the photos suggest they weren’t looked after very well. Ours came from Amazon, so they’re likely to be genuine. You can be sure I’ll be back to update this review if we have problems. As it is,there’s no reason to deduct a star.

My size nines are wider than normal and so I had trouble wearing these, however, our son who also takes a size 9 found them a perfect fit. My loss is his gain!Apart from that, they fit OK and are made of a thicker than normal leather which in time, should give to the wearer's feet, thus giving an even better fit. The design is excellent as it means they look good for both smart and casual use. As far as our son is concerned, these are great, but not perfect, hence 4 stars. The leather is good quality and only time will tell if they last for a reasonable time, but I feel that so long as they are looked after, they should be OK.For me, if they did these in a wider fit, then I would buy them myself.

I've worn Kickers for years. Still remember dragging my Mom around Edinburgh in 1982 looking for a pair of red Kickers in my size; we found a pair in the end.Although these are marketed as "ladies" I got these for my thirteen year old son. He likes the style of Kickers and much prefers them to normal school shoes. He takes a four and a half and these are size five, so there's a little growth in there. They look great, they seem well made. I have seen the pictures of others who've had their pairs fall apart but I have to say in the many pairs I have owned over the years, this has never happened to me. Maybe they had bought fake pairs?Anyway very pleased, as always, with our Kickers.

for the moment I have no complaints as we have owned kickers before. I have 5 starred as I am very pleased with the value of this item and as yet have had no quality issues to comment on it being the first week of use. the last pair did not last as long as expected but I do have a very tall and heavy footed 13yr old sports freak who insists on playing football in his school shoes so it might be unfair to compare to normal wear and tear. Here's to fingers crossed I can purchase again from this source if these happen to last the distance for my other offspring who are equally active and very fashion conscious. they certainly reassure me a little more when the weather is inclement.

These were ordered for my 13 year old daughter, Charlotte, who really likes this kind of classic style boot. They are very smart, strong and, on first impressions, appear to be well made. She is wearing them for school, so their sturdiness will be tested over the coming months and, apart from an initial little bit of rubbing around the sole, she has said that they are comfortable and give her feet and ankles more support than ordinary school shoes would. So far, so good; if there are any problems over the next couple of months, I'll update this review. If this review hasn't been edited, you can assume that the shoes have been as good as the initial impressions suggest they are!

You can always trust Kickers! I used to have Kickers school shoes as a kid and remember their classic, timeless style! These look almost like what I wore years ago with their quirky logo in red on one shoe and green on the other. These are very basic lace up boots, great sturdy sole and very comfy - these have been perfect for work as I cover a lot of mileage walking around and regularly wear out shoes - I feel these will last for sometime. They're very basic and plain, I jazzed them up with some different colour laces to make them my own but without doing this they are very smart and good for most occasions.Recommended, very comfy and you know you can always trust kickers!
