Having played this game on the PC (and thoroughly enjoyed it) I was excited to learn that there was a version for the PS 1. After seeing it in a shop for £6.99 and against my better judgement I bought it and hurried home to load it up and evoke those fond memories of H&D for the PC.Unfortunately I couldn't help comparing the two versions of the game as I started playing it.(1) The pre-mission brief has almost been dispensed with, now its been reduced to a simple textual description - with a stylish background.(2) The quality of the graphics are very poor (but only to be expected I guess for a PS 1 game)(3) I bearly recognised the first level but decided to give it a try to see what it was like.Ignoring the poor collision detection and the erroneous gray polygons appearing from time to time I soldiered on.(4) I managed to shoot a german (not too hard as a said above the collision detection leaves a lot to be desired). The german fell and was replaced by some sort of rough approximation of a body which then promptly disappeared after a few seconds. How then you are supposed to search dead germans for goodies I don't know.(5) Still on level one and having despatched a few germans I took care to avoid the train (wait a minute - what train?) it never appeared and I felt a tinge of disappointment.(6) The game has been simplified into a FPS which reduces the skill level down a notch or two. Again not a good thing. It was fun to meticulously plan every move for all you team members only to see them charge of in a different direction or to become embroiled in a fire fight with ten germans.(7) Having completed level one I ventered onto level 2 - with a slight sense of trepidation. Shouldn't have bothered - couldn't seem to blow up the "intact" storage tanks and after killing all the germans and interrogating the hostage I ran out of dynamite and had no option but to end it all.You may be able to tell that I'm not best pleased with this game. It is not worth £6.99 - if they were giving it away free I would trade it in for something better or use it as a novelty coffee coaster.Don't buy it - get a PC and buy the original - watch out for those bugs though - still a better game by miles.Like I said "Hidden but not very dangerous"

This game is truly awful. Cumbesome control system. Poor graphics. Inadequate insruction book.Don't waste your tenner invest in a slightly more expensive game in the same genre - nothing could be as clumsy and unappetizing as this!!
