Having not really been a Tequila drinker, (well' just the normal run of the mill, sub £20 stuff from main supermarkets) this Tequila is head and shoulders above any others I've ever tried. I have taken to drinking it neat, it has the same quality characteristics of a good single malt. Its amazing the difference the price makes. To be honest, I'd have never paid £40+ for a bottle of Tequila, but thanks the those generous Waitrose people, they were obviously clearing end of line stock and were selling it for £16.40 a bottle, so i bought three. Having previously only ever been a Single Malt drinker, It has opened my eyes to other quality spirits.

Having developed a taste for tequila, i am working my way through some new premium brands i like the sound of. I have to say, that the idea of spending over £40 on a bottle of spirits i haven't tried before is a huge leap of faith, but as this was discounted by £5 i thought it was as good a time as any. I was not disappointed. The Anejo tequilas are quite variable, sometimes the flavour imparted by the barrels actually diminishes the subtle complex aromas of the Plata tequila, but in this case, the result is exceptional, smooth, well balanced and very moreish. This is up there with my other favourite tequila Villa Lobos.

Discovered this after being a long time Don Julio fan and I love it. The price is a little steeper than some of the alternatives but it has a great flavour and aroma that deserves to be shipped neat - it still has the "fresh" vibrancy of an anjeo tequila without too much of a okay/whisky taste that a lot of darker anjeos give off, the only criticism is I did notice a little extra heat/burn on the back end of this variety, but still a great sipping anjeo.

A delicious tequila, lots of layers & interest. I really like Gran Centinario, but I think this has the edge. The packing was was ludicrous. Any tiny plastic widget I buy for £2 comes in a box that a truck could drive over. A £50 bottle came with nothing. Previous tequila purchases have been properly packaged. Still, it survived somehow & it’s excellent

Myself and my fiancé were introduced to this in Mexico and WOW! I really don't do tequila but between the 2 of us we drank half a bottle in 1 night. It is so smooth and flavourful and doesn't burn like the cheap stuff or smell like methylated spirits!

Really smooth with great flavour (pronouce oakiness and a hint of sweetness at the back end). For the money probably some of the best sipping tequila. Dont get sucked in to the hype of patron

Proper taste of Mexico. We had this on our honeymoon in Mexico. Soft caramel flavours, not harsh at all. Perfect over ice or with tonic. Tequila and tonic is the furure!
