Starting from last Christmas I went on a bit of a premium vodka binge which I attribute to watching too much Mad Men and certainly having more money than sense for a period. I had bottles of Crystal Skull, Chase Marmalade, Wyborowa Exquisite and Reyka. They all come with their individual bells, whistles and gimmicks. Fancy bottles, award winning credentials, unusual flavors, the reputation of the distillers. I tried and liked them all but unfortunately I spent a lot of money looking because for whatever reason I tried Reyka last.I stopped looking for other vodka's after my first bottle of Reyka. If sipping vodka neat or on the rocks is what you're after then you can pay a lot more than you will for this but you certainly won't find a better vodka. It is remarkably smooth, no burn to it at all but it does give a wonderful warmth as it goes down. It tastes crisp and unlike almost any Vodka I've tasted. The other bottles may have cost more and been in fancier bottles (not that the classic, simple design of Reyka's bottle doesn't have its appeal) but this was by far the superior taste, drink and product. That isn't to decry the other three brands I tried but rather an endorsement of how good Reyka is that it can top that sort of competition. £26 delivered is a bargain for drink this good. You won't find it cheaper anywhere else on the net, its a godsend that Amazon themselves stock it (usually, I've seen it go to "3-4 weeks" before now, possibly because Reyka don't actually release that much of it, that depends on how much you believe a "small batch" vodka means). It's a decent conversation piece, it's not a vodka most people will have seen or heard of before, a step above the boutique stuff and a step below the big names (Goose, Belvedere, Crystal Skull) in terms of brand recognition. Now I plan to always have a bottle on hand for those nights when you want to sit back and take your time with a drink and really enjoy it.

Back in the 1970s Stolichnaya was my top vodka - pretty exotic in the era of the Cold War. Its 'oily' (smooth) mouthfeel made Stolly easy to drink with just a couple of cubes of ice. This one is well up to that standard ... and it comes from Iceland, which makes it a bit special. It's 'small batch' distilled, although that depends on what you mean by 'small' and 'batch'. I am not a major league vodka drinker these days but I can tell you that this is another vodka you can drink easily on its own with just a couple of ice cubes. I tried adding soda water, but that was not a good experience. If you prefer to add something with flavour, such as tonic water or a cordial, then buy a cheaper brand: those extra flavours will mask the quality of this excellent vodka.

What is not to like? Firstly a striking bottle, with a cork stopper.... simple, clear labeling (with none of the typical hype). The vodka it's self, in my opinion, is unmatched. Smooth and creamy with a slight sweetness. A superb mouth feel with just a hint of warmthburn that reminds you this is still 40% but other than that this exceptional. Neat, straight from the freezer. For years I was put of drinking vodka, seeing it as only a mixer and even then I find the likes of Smirnoff etc. unpleasant. That left the only other possible option for shots... neither shots or mixing do this drink justice.Never would I thought I would hear myself saying Vodka was a sipping drink!

An exceptional, incredibly smooth vodka. If your only experience with vodka is with Smirnoff or something further down the ladder of quality - some off-licence under a tenner rocket fuel jobbie named after Rasputin, prepare to have you eyes opened. This stuff tastes of nothing. Literally nothing. You can tell there is alcohol in it, but there's absolutely no burn, aniseed sharpness or smell of paint thinner that you get from that cheap supermarket stuff.I say cheap - it's twice the price of Russian Standard but half the price of Grey Goose. You don't need to spend £50 to get good vodka. This does just fine.

I discovered this vodka 5 years ago when I spent 8 months working in Iceland. Unfortunately, about the time I came back, they withdrew it from the UK market. I'm delighted it's back!Given the choice, I wouldn't drink any other vodka, and I'm extremely grateful to my daughter for spotting it's available again. Incidentally, this has never given me a hangover (and I've tried quite hard a few times!).Best enjoyed cold from the fridge with just enough ice to keep it cool - after all, you wouldn't want to water it down!Try it, You won't regret it.Also available in some Waitrose at the same price.

I used to buy Icelandic vodka at Asda's many years ago,it was the best vodka by a country mile, and then they stopped selling it.I was not happy but for some reason didn't think to look online for it until now.I can't be sure this is the same vodka but its not far away from what I remember it is smooth and a gentle vodka much more to my taste buds than others I have tried.I had a shot of it neat and it was good then I added some Fever -tree tonic and it was really lush.I am very glad to have bought this and think its well worth the money fora very high end vodka.

After using Absolut in Martinis for a while, I wondered if there'd be a noticeable difference with a pricier vodka. Mixed 75ml of Reyka in with a couple of dashes of orange bitters and 15ml of Noilly Prat and served it Ice cold with a twist of lemon. I'm no expert but I was very impressed with the crisp flavour and it went down very smoothly for such a spirit heavy drink. Haven't tried it neat but I would bet it's lovely served straight from the freezer. Nothing wrong with Absolut but this does seem like a step up in quality.

Like so many other reviewers on this page I too had tried many "Premium Vodkas" Some I liked more than others but upon trying my first bottle of this like 5 years ago It has spoiled me and all other vodka now seems pale in comparison. Its super smooth and I love the batch crafted feel of the bottle. Whenever anyone asks me which vodka I would recommend I always point them at this. Its not the cheapest (but also far from being the most expensive) but its definitely worth every penny.

A really brilliant and great tasting premium spirit - alone or for cocktails!Reyka Vodka has unexpectedly becomes a firm favourite after a chance buy. I've since said goodbye to Grey Goose, Kettle One etc. And passed on to friends as gifts too. It's made from grain in Carter head stills, filtered by volcanic rock and from a renewable energy distillery.Nice marketing from William Grant & Sons NY. I say yes to the beards and parrots ? thing ?

This is quite simply one of the best vodkas you can buy. Its perfect when drunk neat and chilled, smooth and burn free. So clean you'll wake up not feeling like you've been run over by a truck. I buy beer on the way into Iceland cos *reasons* *Eve online Fanfest*, but I always take this stuff home-the duty free is dirt cheap at about a tenner, but even the UK price is a bargain! Now Amazon pantry does it? Oooh Rather! Buy this stuff!

I'm no expert, but introduced to this superlative but lethal vodka (bcause it goes down like water with no harshness at all!) whilst living in Iceland for 3 years. Delighted it is now available from Amazon, and even Sainsbury's, and much cheaper than buying it in Iceland! It's all due to Iceland's beautiful water, apparently. drink it neat, put it in the freezer first. Skal!

I bought this vodka on the strength of the positive reviews here and I am not disappointed. I usually only drink vodka with a mixer but this is so smooth and toffee like in its finish, that I've taken to drinking it neat on the rocks. Ok its not cheap but there really is no better vodka that I can think of and you ultimately get what you pay for. Buy it!!!

Nice vodka. Pleased with quality of the drink, bottle well presented but one thing I don’t like. The bottle cork has started to disintegrate. I store my vodkas in the freezer, 40vol/80proof fine in a freezer giving the best results to drink it; however this may have damaged the cork lid, other vodkas I have ordered don’t use internal cork lids anymore.

I only drink vodka neat and my go to vodka has been Russian Standard, i have tried Grey Goose but price and quality is not worth it imo. Now Reyka Vodka all i can say is this is my go to vodka from now on it is beautiful, it not thin like water but feels slightly like syrup, serve it chilled and no burn as it slides down, no raging hangover either.

I bought this for my dad for Christmas and he absolutely loves it. He only drinks his vodka neat and he had been looking for an unusual vodka to try for months. He said this one is perfect - it is smooth and has no chemical aftertaste like some vodkas. He said it is very refreshing and recommends keeping it heavily chilled in the fridge.
