I loved this product a lot. I found the smell pleasant and it was lovely on my hair. What first attracted me was the brand as I'd heard all about green people but I had heard a few mixed reviews and decided to try it myself. Secondly, I like that fact that it's naturally and doesn't contain harmful chemicals and thirdly, it's not tested on animals. As a big animal lover and an activist against animal, this was a big factor, like most products I buy.It didn't foam like most shampoos as it doesn't have the chemical that encourages it to do. I was expecting some overpowering smell but it wasn't was faint enough to smell but not enough to crinkle your nose.It was a clear gel liquid as I expected it to be full of colour like others so I was pleasantly surprised, same with the conditioner.I could tell while washing that my hair was softer than it usually was. Most of the time, once the shampoo is rinsed off my hair starts to dry a little frizzy, however with this I noticed it didn't. My hair was soft, while and after washing, it's no longer frizzy when air dried. The only con I could find was the price. Not that dear but when my pocket is tight, it is.Overall, I am very pleased with this product, and will continue to buy.

I've just reviewed the conditioner version of this as I used together and should have copied/pasted but didn't so read that review too. Basically, I have been trying out Green People products and haven't been disappointed yet. Recently spent 3 weeks in Crete and 2 of us used this every day and we still brought half of the bottle back! You only need a small amount, it's a clear liquid that smells unusual at first but now I really like it. It doesn't lather up like other chemical-laden shampoo's I used to buy but it still rubs into the hair nicely. My daughters hair is quite long so I just worked it through to the ends. It really has worked to keep my over-processed hair soft and much less frizzy, and my daughters naturally curly/unruly hair is much more manageable now. I forgot to mention that we both used to suffer with dandruff but I've noticed that neither of us has any now, amazing. I will definitely be buying more of this and the conditioner. Highly recommend this, I will not be switching back to the old high street brands that are full of chemicals, especially now that you can achieve amazingly impressive results with a natural set of products! Big thanks to Green People and amazon for offering free delivery! :-)

This is the best shampoo I have ever used. I suffer from really dry hair and an itchy scalp and this is the only shampoo that doesn't leave me scratching. It contains no nasty ingredients like parabens and sulfate laureth sodium like most shampoos and conditioners do, which dry out the scalp and hair (even the ones that claim to moisturise or stop itching). I have also noticed that since using this my hair has been growing faster and I have new baby hairs growing so it is getting thicker too.A little goes a long way so it is worth the price as you are only having to use a tiny bit each wash. My hair is now shiny, silky and not frizzy.I recommend using it with the Intensive repair conditioner too if like me you have a sensitive scalp and dry hair.

Advised by hairdresser to ditch Pantene due to hair loss and silicone build-up, bad for hair as you get older (50+). Green People is best Aloe Vera shampoo / conditioner tried to date - good foaming action (even in hard-water area), peace of mind knowing very few nasty chemicals, mostly herbal. Doesn't give 'shine' as Pantene did, but that was chemically achieved, so can live without it. Green People's stuff lasts a long time so worth the extra money. Buying online saves having to find retail outlet and travel into town. When I first bought it, no shipping charge, but second time for some reason it was quite steep, so had to cancel - guess it depends on sellers (hence 4 stars not 5).So check and choose moment to order carefully!

This shampoo works really well for me. It cleans gently and quickly (I don’t need to use much of it) without damaging/ drying out my hair. I’m in my early 50s and before I started using this shampoo, I was beginning to get a dry, itchy scalp but my scalp is now back to normal (I can’t say for sure whether this shampoo is the reason but I’m going to keep using it!). I also use a Shea Moisture hair masque and this combination is working well for me.

I just thought I should let everyone know how amazing this shampoo and conditioner are and that they are great value. Although it seems expensive this shampoo lasts much longer than other brands of shampoo, a little bit really does go a long way.I have my whole family using it because it really does keep our hair in great condition and it is organic which as a mother puts my mind to rest about the product.

I had read very good reviews about this product, and so decided to purchase it. I love it. It has made my coarse, thick and difficult to manage hair, smooth, shiny and soft. It has also made it so easy to style afterwards. It lathers up easily too.The shampoo is easy to rinse out and has a lovely fragrance . I have now bought the matching conditioner, which is just as good. Highly recommended!

I have tried many of the Green-people hair shampoos and I think this is my favourite. Less stripping than some of the others but does not leave hair at all greasy, doesn't affect my hair colour. I use with small amount of irritable scalp conditioner. I have very sensitive scalp and have no problems with either product.

My previous experience with organic shampoos was that they didn't lather much and you had to use loads of the shampoo to de-oil your hair. Not so with this one. Leaves my hair soft and shiny and I don't have to go buying another bottle every few weeks. Well impressed with it, can't recommend it enough.

My local Planet Organic stopped carrying it which is sad because I felt like I finally found a shampoo I liked. My hair has a lot do build up. THis would clean it without drying it out and leave me with soft, shiney hair. And it’s hard to find a colour shampoo that’s free of nasties.

22.2.2020

Soft and gentle shampoo with no nasties in it. I am allergic to sodium laurel sulphate which is a frothing agent, used in lots of washing, soap, toothpastes etc. This shampoo and conditioner keep my hair clean and soft , and smell nice too. I also use their makeup also nasties free.

This product was delivered to me in good time with excellent, minimal packaging and has done everything it said on the tin. I am very happy with the little quantity I have to use, the smell and of course the result. 10 out of 10

Love this shampoo. It is gentle and my hair feels lovely after washing. It's the first shampoo other than Head and Shoulders that seems to prevent a dry, flaky scalp (not dandruff which is a different issue altogether.

20.3.2014

I ordered this shampoo not only because it is free or parabens and other nasties, but also cruelty free. I am over the moon with the results, my hair is soft and so shiny. Highly recommended.

I chose this product because they use natural ingredients to make it. It is on the expensive side but you have to pay for quality. Overall I am very happy with it and will continue using it.
