This is a great looking, functional box and I have bought two. I would recommend replacing the catches with something better. The first box arrived with one catch already in pieces and the other fell apart around a minute later! The second box arrived yesterday and the catches seem ok, but I am going to replace them now rather than risk them failing when the box is in use. You will probably need to drill some new holes to take the screws for your replacements. I used a basic hasp type on the first box, cheap and functional but perhaps less pleasing on the eye. You should be able to get something better looking for maybe a couple of pounds each at most. An alternative would be to add a strap (or two)

My wife is doing a conservation and restoration course and wanted a box with lots of compartments that she could put her small tools, brushes and so on into. This seemed the best available at a reasonable price so I took the plunge and ordered it for her. The box exceeded our expectations when it arrived, it is very well made and uses good quality components i.e. catches, hinges, handle and so on. The compartment dividers can be moved around and adjusted easily so you can configure the box just how you want it. It is definitely going to last and it also fits nicely on the work bench that she uses in the lab. A very good buy, and arrived quickly and well packaged too.

A really great box. Solid construction and good quality. I bought two of these boxes for my sons to keep all of their 'treasures' in - you know, stuff like the baseball they caught while on holiday in America, a feather from a pheasant, a sharks tooth, that sort of stuff. They love the different cubbies to keep things in. I know it's not what the box is intended to be used for, but the quality is great so I'm sure it would also work well for art supplies.

It's nicely made - quite solidly built. We got this as a toolbox for a friend, who was dead chuffed to receive it. To give you an idea of size (it's hard to tell from the picture): in the top insert, we could fit a spirit level in the skinny compartment, and polyfilla in the fat compartment, with plenty of headroom to close the box, and lots more space for other things if we'd wanted to.

I bought this box to keep my inks, brushes etc in and it's great. Can't actualy believe the quality and size of the box for the money it cost, really pleased and would definatly recommend it. A much nicer alternative to the plastic fishing tackle box I used when I was at art school! It's good for storing tattoo guns and inks etc too! A great art box, great value...

I bought this for a friends 60th birthday. I was not sure how big it was as it just said "large", however it was a perfect size not too cumbersome and not too small. It may be an idea to state the size in future. The quality was lovely and it looked much more expensive than it was. My friend absolutely loved it.

Good solid box with a variety of compartments, not all of which i have found to be of practical use.I have removed all but the lengthwise centre divide in the main box, to accomodate brushes and larger containers (brush cleaner, and wet wipes), so it actually works quite well.

Excellent, just what I wanted. The box and tray are solid wood, the dividing sections are not. The whole thing is very well made, the only thing is, as one reviewer says, not sure the catches will remain closed when box fully loaded.

I gave this to my wife for her birthday for her to keep her linocutting tools in.She likes that you can take the top out, but she finds that some of the compartments underneath are a bit small.

A well priced item thats of a good quality. For its size it was well packaged and arrived in good time. Beware, its MDF veneered and not solid wood but that doesn't detract from the product.

It is for my husband for Christmas so not used yet but the postage was fast, it was packed well and it is good that you can alter the spaces inside I am very pleased with this item.

Great quality product, all my art stuff that seems to accumulate is contained within as apposed to all over the place. The box was delivered very quickly.

Nice wood and dovetail joints. You can resize the compartments to your liking by moving sliding dovetail joints inside. Good handle and latches too.

He loves it. All his stuff fits in nicely, brushes, pens etc. The top layer lifts out and is easily adaptable to accomodate different items.

Love this product bought it for my dad over a year ago he loves it very practical with all the different compartement and very solid wood.
