The saw is light with a comfortable grip. The teeth are very sharp and easily cut through the thick branches of a yew tree I was pruning. The blade cuts on the pull stroke as clearly marked on the blade. Don't try to cut on the forward stroke - it won't! The blade easily retracts into the handle by slackening the knurled wheel a couple of turns and pulling back- no need to touch the blade. The blade can be extended to any length up to the maximum of 6.3 inches and quickly locked in position by tightening the knurled wheel. There is a spring clip on the end of the handle for attaching to a belt loop.Over all this is a good sharp saw able to tackle the toughest pruning jobs.

Neat pocket saw, with a retractable blade and a belt clip. Perfect for carrying in a coat pocket or clipped to a belt; handy when out for a walk in the woods to clear recently fallen branches etc or if cutting a hide or 'den' for the kids to play in. Lightweight, compact and - coming from the excellent Fishers range - a sharp as they come! It rips through freshly fallen wood - but takes a bit of work with dried old timber - however it does say on the packaging that the saw teeth are designed for fresh wood!

I purchased this pruning saw because I wanted to reduce the height of a tall Leylandii hedge . I already had a large pull pruning saw ,but this was totally unsuitable ,but this little saw was brilliant working in a tight space .It easily cut through 3" dia branches and when retracted fits easily into a pocket It fully retracts when not in use .

I borrowed one of these, and was instantly won over. It is nice and compact, easy to get out and put away. The Fiskars SW73 cuts better than any other pruning saw i have ever used, and its blade is narrower than others so it fits better between branches. Full marks.

Received my product yesterday and today I have managed to saw down huge shrubs and small trees in record time. Easy to use just remember when not in use retract the blade excellent value

Excellent garden tool I would not be without. Makes quick work of small to medium size branches. Particularly like the way the blade retracts into the handle.

This saw is extremely well made and is ideal for using in small spaces when pruning branches of all sizes. I would thoroughly recommend it.

Excellent for cutting through branches. As it is retractable it can easily be stored. A great sturdy and useful product.

Does what it says on the tin and significantly cheaper than buying on the high street. Very pleased with my purchase.
