I bought these socks to keep my feet warm in winter as the floor of my cottage is always cold. They did that job fine. But the shaft is quite narrow and I had to turn them down, so they sit a bit too tight on my ankles. The width at the top of my size 8-9 socks is 8.5 cm and stretches only to about 12 cm

Falke are expensive, let's be honest, however they fit really well are comfortable, last better than most and if you are hiking of skiing blisters would be a nightmare. I have bought Falke performance socks like these as well as normal day socks and i have not been disappointed. See for yourself.

Bought these for trekking/hiking socks, but also ended up wearing them for a few days alpine climbing this summer (and they were great). After a couple of weeks away though they did retain my feet natural odour (especially after some long alpine days, cold starts and hot glacier returns)

I was very happy with these socks. I used them on the Camino pilgrimage some 500 miles shared between three pairs of socks. Very comfortable even in 30+ degree temperature.

The third time I have bought a handful of these socks. Very comfortable, they keep their shape for years, but do not tumble dry!!!
