If you've spent a few hundred pounds on some really, really nice walking boots then it doesn't really make sense to skimp on the socks you use with them.These are the socks.They''re mostly merino wool, so are great at keeping your feet at a good temperature. 'warm' socks can become 'sweaty' socks very easily, but (using these with goretex boots) I've had no problems. They can also survive being worn for a few days without becoming too offensive. Fit is great, with no hotspots when walking or awkward seams. It's weird to get too excited about a pair of socks, but these are great.They are easy to wash too unlike some merino stuff. A cool 30degree wash was fine, and no problem with shrinking.

Great socks. Looks very nice and feels like second skin on your feet.They got padded sole and it makes a big difference. Much more comfortable to wear especially with shoes that have hard soles. Mine boots have no padding at all and it can be quite uncomfortable with thin socks. No issues with these. My feet were feeling same like in trainers.And in my experience padded soles last longer.These are for colder weather – 70% wool keeps your feet cosy during winter.Overall good fit and comfortable hiking socks.

These are wonderful socks. there are two versions of the TK1's Wool and synthetic. These are the wool ones. I feel they will be warmer, but maybe not as easy drying as the synthetic version. They have a nice thick sole and the wool is soft.
