Just a heads up really as there has not been a review posted for a while and i would hate for folks to buy this and later realise you are unable to actually play it anymore. As of 31st July 2006, SoE closed the only server available to the European community. That server was named Stonewatchers. This game is only playable online (there is no offline mode) so you would be unable to actually play this game if purchased. I only post as i notice Amazon have copies actually in stock so someone out there MIGHT end up buying this. There USA servers are still running - but to play on them you need a US copy of EQOA Frontiers + a US PS2.That is unfortunately your only option if you wish to play EQOA these days. For those of you who never had the chance to play the game - you missed out - it introduced many of us to the joys of online gaming, many of those friendships formed still continue today on the likes of World of Warcraft.I and many of the other people who were there still look back on PAL EQOA with misty eyes and with great memories, for that alone this game deserves 5 stars. We fought for our server in the face of complete apathy from SoE, the solitary update of content that Stonewatchers received in it's all too brief existance being an examaple. The big guys won in the end - but those of us who were there will never forget our time in Norath - it was truly the finest online community there will ever be. Miss you all loads you bunch of vagrants.Medius (Level 50 Enc - retired due to lack of server)

Well its now 2 months since i started playing Everquest Online Adventures and what more can i say than im an addict. Just to give you an idea how addictive this game is i have not missed a single night in these 2 months, averaging between 5 - 10 hours a night. i even played on xmas day! The game itself is based in the land of Tunaria a massive continent (and i MEAN massive, it takes about an hour to run from one side to the other and even longer top to bottom!) where you will find endless quests and beasts to kill and make numourous friends. I have seen a lot of bad and critical reviews, often complaining about trying to group, but these people obviously have not played the game for long,as the more you play you will find yourself forming strong aliances and once you join a guild it usualy takes only a minute or so before you are in a group and ready to quest or hunt. This game is an essential buy for all owners of a network adaptor, plus you get the first 30 days free so what have you got to lose?

I've been playing this for 4 days now andI've hardly been off it. The world is huge to say the least. Theres no greater gaming exsprience than grouping with a few people and exploring for new far off towns and other gamers alike. The graphics, regardlessto what all the reviews ive seen have said, are not that bad. I kinda think there quite good, though can get a bit glitchy at times. There are hundreds of weapons and armour to buy and even more to make and when you put it on, you acually see the difference it makes your character looks meaning you can mix and match to make your own character even more original. The subcription fee is £7 a month which you can pay for 3 months at once or even 6 so you dont have to worry about it and to be honest, its worth the money. Theres no lag, no abusive idiot, nor any cheaters. Just a hugely adictive huge game which is always growing and improving. Any RPG fan should try this.

This will keep you busy for a very long time from picking a race and class depends on where u start in the game from hunting to making equipment for your charecter and casting spells. I suggest this game to anyone who hasnt played this type of game before and is a bit bewilded by the pc version the controls are a lot easier then on the pc. Join a Guild as early as you can, the game is much more enjoyble when u fight in a group then by your self and you can type away to your team mates or to any one in your Guild I suggest getting any USB keabored much improvement then the on-screen keabored controled with the dualshock controller
