FYI Bourjois is a sister company of Chanel. The application of this is similar, very, very similar to Chanel's Aqua Vitalumiere.Application: Application is easy. This is sheer and could, with effort, build to a medium coverage. It has a very skin-like finish and comes off as very natural. As far as how it looks on my skin, this is 5 stars. It makes my skin look like skin, but better. I have combination skin. With a primer this does not settle into pores and it does not cling to dry patches. I did not get oily, nor did it dry me out. Where the application fails is longevity. The first two hours are perfect. Around hour three and four I see significant break down. It slides around my face and breaks up.I have tampered with and without primer, as well as used a few primers with it. It just breaks up no matter what by the 4 hour mark. Even with powdering I get, max 4 hours of this with perfect looking skin. RE-applying is easy and quick but probably not realistic for most people. For me, I use this as a quick skin touch up when I need to run to the store, my skin could use a little love on the way to the gym, or for short errands.Color:51, Light Vanille, I am pale and pink. I have to walk away from many makeup companies because they don't go light enough for me (I'm looking at you Clinique, Clarins, Estee Lauder...). I would be considered Lancome's newest shade in 90N, but can also make 100N and 110C work for me. I often aim for neutral tones over pink because I like sheer or medium foundation and to let my skin shine through a little. This foundation is yellow. Quite yellow. However, it's sheer so it might be something passable for some people who are not warmer colored. I have made this work for me with a color adjuster. The skinny? This foundation could have been my holy grail item because of how easy it applies, how beautiful and natural is looks, and how it does not irritate my skin in the least. However, it fails on longevity and color options. If you don't mind touching up and lean yellow, this is a fantastic alternative to Chanel's Chanel's Aqua Vitalumiere. If you end up loving this and the color doesn't work out for you, Chanel's color options are a bit better.

I was recently on the search for good drugstore foundations. I purchased this and the Bourjous 1,2,3 perfect Foundation (which I also reviewed). I was hesitant to buy this because it was sold through the Amazon Marketplace, through a seller named "Passion for Perfumes" not the first place I'd plan to buy a foundation from. After reading past reviews from others about the seller, I took a chance and purchased it in it's lightest shade, 51 Vanille Clair. It arrived to me about 2 weeks later, in a bubble wrapped envelope. The seal was intact, however it looked liked it could have easily been tampered with. I still used it, applying it with my realtechniques makeup sponge, and setting it with Chanel's Les Beige powder in N10. It claims to have extracts of various fruits (pomegranates, apricots, melon, apple, lychee, goji berries) to bring a glow to the skin and also help treat it (as the name healthy mix serum suggests). It does have a fruity smell, hopefully from the extracts, but still probably contains fragrance. It is also hypoallergenic. The consistency is thicker (it's a gel foundation) than the "1, 2, 3," and also has more coverage and doesn't take as long to dry. The color was lighter also than the "1,2,3," but alas was still a shade too dark, so down my neck it went! I preferred how this foundation made my skin look compared to the "1,2,3." It definitely did give a nice glow. This foundation is very nice, and I would re-purchase it, but through a different place.

I would just like to begin by saying my partner is a serious Chanel addict, every cosmetic product purchased must be of the Chanel brand, the only problem is they tend to be rather expensive when used on a daily basis.Upon doing som research I discovered Bourjois actually owns Chanel so it got me wondering how different their products actually are besides the enormous price difference. So, to prove a point that bigger budget items aren't always better - I purchased a bottle of this Healthy Mix Serum and inserted the product into one of her Chanel vitulumiere aqua empties then replaced the actual Chanel one in her cosmetics cabinet. One week went by and she NEVER even noticed the difference!Aftertelling her exactly what I had done and how she was oblivious to the whole thing she agreed that the difference between the Bourjois foundation £10 and the Chanel foundation £33 was so so miniscule...it was definitely not worth spending £22 more for just a brand name.I hope this helps those of you who are looking for a way to save money without sacrificing quality and piece of mind.In short - Worth every single penny, light buildable coverage, radiant healthy glow and used with the correct moisturiser, looks just like skin. Must buy.

I've honestly really loved this. I have fairly sensitive skin and foundation typically without fail causes me to break out a little every so often just simply because I am a college student, and if I wear makeup at 7 in the morning it's staying on all day until I finally go home.At the end of the day, this foundation still feels wonderful on my skin. Usually my foundation, after it's put up with around 10 hours of wear, it's bound to feel dry or oily or gross, but not this foundation. This foundation also looks gorgeous no matter how many hours I've worn it when I spray my face with a little bit of Amore Pacific facial mist, and I personally that impressive that I don't even need to reapply. All in all, this is a great every day foundation. The coverage is buildable, and I would personally prefer a more high coverage foundation if this foundation wasn't so incredibly beautiful and comfortable. I was able to attain great coverage, though, by just layering it. The result was not cakey whatsoever, and my face had a wonderful slightly dewy glow to it.I'm a fan. I wish a higher coverage version of this foundation would come out for the days I want to look a little more photo-perfect.

I have really tricky skin, I have slightly darker face than I do my neck and rest of body, I have rather pale skin and I tend to have problem areas.First of all this foundation has an amazing texture, not too watery not too thick. If your skin is smooth it should apply on like a dream. However if you have some dry skin like it will somewhat cling on. Now it won't cover all your scars, but it's fine with me because I like a more natural look, I just want it to even out my skin tone. I think thats really the purpose of this serum, to even out the skin tone, not as much for coverage. Now the skin tone is tricky as asian=yellow, I choose this serum rather than foundation because many review said it was more yellow while the Foundation is more pink.I concur that this foundation is yellow, but still not quite yellow enough haha (man my skin is too yellow). when it sets in vanilla in 52 is a workable shade for me, maybe a tinge darker than i prefer. I would definitely buy this is you have rather light yellow toned skin but not like the caucasian fair white. I don't believe this formula oxidizes.

One of the best foundations I have tried! I love it. I like the texture, how it looks on my skin, and the finish. My skin is really pale, so I ordered the lightest shade, Vanille Clair. It matches my skin really well. I have applied this with brushes and my hands, both work fine. A little bit of product goes a long way, so I typically only use one pump (bonus points for having a pump). I have yet to use it with a beauty blender, but I assume because its a gel-like texture that a beauty blender would work well. I have really dry skin, and it doesn't cling to dry patches or let dry patches come through by the end of the day. I don't powder with this foundation because my skin is so dry,but if you're oily using it sparingly only in the T-Zone might be a good idea, since the finish is demi matte. It lasts pretty well throughout the day. I don't find myself reapplying. Its nice in the summer where I live because right now its hot and a little humid.I use a moisturizer as a primer and a sunscreen. Works great and the foundation still lasts. If you're oily maybe only a primer and sunscreen.

It's very lightweight and feels very light on the skin, definitely doesn't feel cakey. You have to build up the layers to get full coverage, but I don't often do that look anyway, even if my skin is having a breakout so its not a problem for me. I really like the consistency and the amount of pigmentation is about right for me. I have had people compliment my skin while wearing it and also comment that they cant see the make up which I'm happy about! Not many people want foundation to be visibly obvious! Longevity isn't amazing but not much different from other foundation brands I've tried (rimmel, clinique, the ordinary, etc),it's also worth noting I don't wear primer as it causes my face to break out so it might have better longevity for others who use primers. I have very sensitive skin that is very prone to acne breakouts, even in my late 20s. I have not found this foundation to have any effect positive or negative on my acne, which is actually pretty good as lots of foundations I've tried just exacerbate matters so it's nice to find a neutral one. One of my favourite foundations.

I work the good ol' 8-5 business hours. I like for my makeup to be daytime appropriate, but to also last a while. This foundation is great. It's the only silicon foundation I have ever liked. It evens out my skin tone as best as a sheer coverage foundation can. I have extremely red cheeks, and they flare when I'm stressed or warm. This foundation can't cover that, but it doesn't claim to so I'm okay with it. At first I thought I should get the lightest shade, but this Vanille one is perfect for my slightly sun-kissed skin. It lasts a while and hasn't caused my sensitive skin to break out. I've applied it with a kabuki brush, with a beauty blender, and with my fingers. It's beautiful with all three application techniques. I definitely recommend this as an everyday wear. I also wear it over the 100 percent pure luminous primer which really gives it a glowy finish as opposed to the "semi-matte" finish. I also powder it with a physician's formula translucent mineral powder to help it last longer and to give my face some SPF.

Love this formula for my dry skin. It does not clog my pores and leaves a beautiful finish. I always buy high quality makeup, never from the department store, but this came highly recommended and I am SO glad I tried it. Before this, I used only tinted moisturizers and Chanel for my dry skin. I don't like a heavy makeup that settles into lines and wrinkles. I like to use a damp beauty blender (lightly) after application with my fingers for a flawless finish. The color is just right, not too dark, not too light. First, I purchased one shade down from this one and it was a little too light for me. Sometimes I mix the two, but this shad works alone. I have light/medium neutral skin. Some days I add a light powder bronzer over areas because it is on the lighter side of medium. I like to match the foundation to my skin color. I feel a shade up from this might be too dark, but may need to try it and mix with this during the summer if I accidentally tan. I apply this over serums, moisturizer and SPF 40 chemical free sunscreen.

So I am currently on accutane, which is a drug that literally stops all oil production in your skin and dries it all out. I've been doing my best to keep my skin as hydrated as possible, but my old makeup wasn't helping with that. I had seen several reviews on this product and thought I would give it a try. First of all, it smells AMAZING. I have never had a makeup smell so yummy, but not in a gross perfume or fake way. I am very pale, and because this is more light-medium coverage, the lightest shade actually seemed to work for me. When I first pumped it I was worried it would be too sallow, but it looks lovely. I usually apply one layer and add another for more coverage. It is a dewy finish and is probably the most skin like makeup I have ever tried. If I feel I need more coverage after that, I usually just spot treat with a concealer.I would recommend this to anyone looking for a product that won't dry out their skin, stick to flaky spots, or looking for something a little more natural that can be built up.

I disagree with some of the oily skin reviews on here. Lately I've been trying to be more minimal with my makeup (think glossier without the price tag and pore clogging formulas) and this foundation serum has been perfect for that. I have oily skin and find this to be a lovely natural looking foundation I can wear everyday with a bit of mascara, brow gel and lip stain, to just feel a bit more put together. This product sets on your skin and you hardly feel you are wearing anything. As the day goes on your natural oils will come through, but nothing a bit of blotting sheets can't fix, and this product doesn't encourage or influence my oils, they would come through if I wasn't wearing anything. The finish is really natural, I just use a little to get a bit of healthy radiance to my skin so I can feel a bit more confident day to day. If that sounds like what you're looking for, go for it. If you're looking for a heavier coverage or a matte finish, look elsewhere. This is very much a 'no-makeup makeup' look.

After hearing many makeup gurus rave about this foundation and seeing the reviews on an online forum, I decided that I would try it out as I was running low on my current foundation at the time (L'Oreal True Match). Not only does this foundation look better, but I want to say my skin has even looked better since using it! I think that maybe that is either placebo because I love it so much or my skin disliked the L'Oreal foundation that I was using!I have normal/sensitive skin so that is my utmost concern when switching foundations. My skin does not show any irritation using this foundation and the coverage looks natural. I understand why others choose to have a heavy coverage foundation, but my skin has but a few blemishes on occasion. If you are looking for a heavy coverage, I don't recommend this. It does build up, but I want to say the coverage still remains light to low medium after building it up. This foundation is perfect for summer! This will definitely be a repurchase!

I ordered this foundation months ago because one of my favorite YouTuber's raved about it (KathleenLights). The 1oz lasted me through the spring, all of summer, and I'm just now running low. This foundation is the best foundation I have ever used! As I've gotten older (I'm 24) my skin has become very sensitive and EVERYTHING makes me break out. This is the only foundation that I have found that is gentle enough for my skin. The finish is very natural and a tad dewy, but not oily at all! I have combination skin with some very oily areas and some very dry areas. This foundation doesn't make me oily, nor does it cling to dry patches. It just creates a beautifully natural appearance. It is light coverage which I prefer! I love being able to see my skin, and then I just spit conceal for blemishes/under eyes. I just ordered 2 more bottles that way I always have it on hand! I HIGHLY recommend this foundation!

I heard about this foundation on a YouTube video for 'mature' skin. I decided to try and it and I am very happy with it. I have pretty good skin with some redness and it is very dry. This foundation gives me enough coverage for the redness and makes my skin look dewy and healthy. It feels great and there's no transfer that I've noticed. I had a little trouble deciding to get shade 51 or 52 which are the two lightest shades. I tend to do better with the more yellowish foundations and I chose 52. It looks good on my pale skin. I'm using a damp wedge sponge to apply and I LOVE the pump bottle because I feel like things stay cleaner.Definitely I will keep using this foundation until it is inevitably discontinued and I have to go on another three year quest to find something I like only to be again heartbroken by the stupid, stupid beauty industry.

This is a great foundation. I'm new to foundation because I've been avoiding it for years. I have very dry flaky cheeks and rubbing on foundation in any way disturbs that already inflamed skin too much. I tried this after hearing it was very hydrating. I thought this foundation went on beautifully. It gave me an air brushed finish and I thought it looked very good. I do not think it has super long wear however. I would say after about 8 hours it started to look dry and flaky. But that's also my dry skin doing its thing. The only reason I gave it 4 stars and not 5 is because towards the end of the day it didn't look nearly as good as at the beginning. Otherwise, its worth the hype and looks lovely on the skin.I would say its medium coverage at most. I'm relatively fair and have very pink undertones. Shade 52 worked well for me.
