This is a great tripod if you want something really light and easy to pack. I have heavier tripods, but I end up leaving them at home because they are too heavy to carry and too long to fit in a backpack. This tripod is slim, really lightweight, and short enough to fit in a backpack. The high quality carbon legs and high quality ball head make it impressively rigid. It is not going to be as rigid as a tripod weighing three times as much, but it's fairly close. This is the tripod you will actually bring with you.
