I bought this and the Osprey Waist pack. I kept this one. The Osprey lumber support and airiation are much better, as is the material it's made from. That aside this one is much more functional, has much more storage and easier access to storage.The downsties are there is an obvious area either side of the main pocket that could hold a water bottle with a simple bag net design, but they haven't bothered to include it. The pockets on the inside are good on the front one, but the back one is poor, including not having the side of the pockets attached so things can fell into the main compartmentOverall this is the best waist pack I could find, but they could improve it a lot. Deuter are usually pretty good.

Perfect item for hiking, whether for a short hike or in addition to a backpack on longer hikes. The essentials at hand, optimal and trouble-free holding of the drinking bottle. Very good price!

Use it with mountain biking .. stays in place .. fits jacket in one of the compartments .. in other compartment that I have bars.
