This is a game that twists the normal plot of a bad 1950's B movie on it's hand and lets you play the role of the invading aliens.Right from the start you get some exciting powers and weaponry to play with; all of them quite amusing to watch and play with. The anal probe is hilarious to use.Scanning people's thoughts is quite funny too - and the game developers are really poking fun at the American way of life at the start of the Cold War.You also get to use psychokinesis and this can be used to pick up livestock, humans and cars and throw them around. You can also posess livestock and humans - making a cow dance is extremely funny. You also get to suck out peoples brains - in the pursuit of DNA for purchasable upgrades as the game progresses. The zapomatic is a nice old-style 'ray-gun'and the Ion Detonator is the equivalent of a grenade that gives you the opportunity for wholesale damage. You also get to fly around in your UFO, using your Death Ray and Abductor, plus a few more as the game progresses. All of your weapons on foot, and in your UFO are upgradeable and the extra firepower you gain will definitely help in some of the later missions. As for the missions - they are fairly simple and enjoyable. My favourite was the mission involving protecting a Television Station. You get lots of ammo to destroy soldiers, tanks and robots. You can use the hologuise to imitate a human and walk amongst them without scaring them to death, or alerting the authorities. The jet pack Crypto 136 uses is fun too - reaching strategically safe points, or areas where there is ammunition and hidden goodies.Crypto is fairly weak so you have to be quite tactical in your pursuit of completing the missions. All in all i like this game a lot but there are a few down sides to it - not many though! The worst thing is the camera - i find it such a hinderance to play with.It isn't appalling; just glitchy enough to be a pain at times. Also, the missions get a little bit samey, and aren't too difficult even when you get closer to the end of the game. However, it has a lot going for it. It is fun!!And far too many games these days take themselves too seriously. This is entertainment, not high-brow gaming. There are also enough reasons to try and complete the entire game - a few hidden extras lurk in the game. The voice acting is hilarious, and the plot is funny. The game is now cheap and for the sort of money it is selling for you really can't go wrong at the price!Buy it!And prepare to play the sequel......................

Whether you're devastating towns with your flying saucer or extracting human DNA, Destroy All Humans has everything you need when it comes to invading Earth. You play as the short but temperamental alien called Crypto 137, sent to Earth to discover what happened to his predecessor (Crypto 136) and to collect brain DNA in order to keep his species- the Furons- alive. In order to cause as much damage as possible, at Crypto's disposal are several alien weapons that are exciting to use. These include the electrifying Zap-O-Matic, the pain-inducing Anal Probe, the vaporising Disintegrator Ray and the highly explosive Ion Detonator, which is like a grenade launcher that can be detonated remotely to great effect.Throughout the game you can earn upgrades for each weapon, which can vary from greater ammo capacity to increased damage. All these weapons are original and necessary for invasion! However, if you're finding yourself a little outgunned, you can always retreat to your saucer and wreak havoc from the skies. Your ship comes equipped with 4 weapons, which may not sound a lot- until you see the damage they cause. The Death Ray is your main weapon, which as the name suggests, emits a deadly beam that burns and destroys objects, though you will need to charge between shots. The Abducto Beam is the least exciting feature, and this simply raises selected objects from the ground allowing you, for example, to dispose of a tank by dropping it into a lake. The Sonic Boom and Quantum Deconstructor are your most powerful weaponry and these cause devastating damage but ammunition is limited. Your saucer weapons can also be upgraded as you progress through the story missions of the game.Concerning the missions, these take place over several locations in 1950s America- from the suburban Santa Modesta to bustling Capitol City, these places are reasonably large and interesting to explore. Scattered throughout the locations in the game, there are several probes to collect and this, as well as a variety of side missions, will keep you occupied even after you have completed the story. There are different foes within the game and these include the local police, the army, and the mysterious 'Majestic' agents as well as more.Overall this game may be a little slow to start (with a limited amount of weapons and mind powers), but once you progress and game gets much more exciting and addictive.

I'd heard about this game for some time and was excited having grown up watching shows like "The Invaders" on BBC2 or films like "The day the earth stood still" and I have to say this game does not dissapoint. You play Crypto 137 an alien sent to earth in the late forties, early fifties with the intention of collecting human DNA to help bolster your own planets ailing stockpile of fresh clones. Crypto 136 crashed and was captured (I guess at Roswell) and so you also need to find out what fate befell him/you. Standing In your way are Farm hands,Police,Locals,The Army and The Men In Black who know your're out there. The whole game plays like a 1950's B movie with a great soundtrack to boot as youprogress from destroying the local farm to abducting a beauty queen and one of my favorite bits so far where you become the town mayor(who sounds a lot like Mayor Quimby doing a JFK impersonation)by creating a holographic image of him(one of your many skills)and trying to calm down the local townfolk even though you have just blown up the local fair in your flying saucer, nothing about "come in peace" here. The controls are very easy and you will soon be running around scanning minds, disintigrating people and taking out small towns in your UFO whilst dodging the intrests of the men in black who also pack some nifty hardware. The voice acting is great and a lot of fun must have been had coming up with the "thoughts",Crypto sounds like Jack Nicholson I'm sure!, and this is one of the few games where I enjoyed viewing the credits to listen to the remixed tunes. The whole thing gives the game its atmosphere and sets the scene just right. The graphics are good as well and are full of humour and even when you have finished the twenty two missions you'll want to return to do all those little side missions like in the GTA games or just terrorise a town. Loads of unlockables including whole movies will keep you glued. So if you want to stamp on humanity, buy this.

I got this game not long after it was released. I knew I wanted it after seeing the game advertised during episodes of Stargate SG1. The game sees you playing as a vicious little alien called Cryptosporidium 47. Set in the American 50's B Movie style environment, your job is to collect as much brain stems from unsuspecting humans as possible. This is done by using Crypto's mental abilities that involve, telekinesis, mind control and brain extraction where the human's brain literally pops out of their head. I adore the levels with the farmers as their reaction to witnessing this brain popping action is hilarious. They all sound like George W Bush! The levels are quite large and the weapons are sweet. They range from Electro Ray's, Anal Probes and a Disintergrator Ray like something out of Mars Attacks. You can also fly your flying saucer above the town and decimate everything in site with Sonic Blast's, Disintergrator Ray's and grab things with the Tractor Beam. Another cool addition is by making use of a camoflage type device. You can make yourself look like a human, so as to move around unoticed, yet still retain your mental abilities. This is where the fun really begins. I kept jumping on top of a building, grabbing a human with telekinesis and seeing how many times I could throw them up in the air, catch them again before they hit the floor and throwing them back up again. Just watch the crowds gather and start clapping! HA HA!The one down side with this game is "repetition". Each level is pretty much the same and the missions rather easy to complete. After you've become bored with making Cops and MIB's dance around, attacking people with the Anal Probe and throwing cars at people you'll find yourself switching off. But I will say, it takes a while to get really bored of doing all that. A very good buy and one to have in your collection, and to really appreciate the originality of this game you just have to play it.

Normally in games, you play as man, with big weapons, destroying all manner of alien, however, this game has turned the table. You play as Crypto-Sporidium 137. He's a little annoyed, his brother, Crypto-Sporidium 136 took a trip to earth, and hasn't been back since, Therefore the Furon empire has decided to invade earth, (You'll see all of this in the introduction.) and most likely, destroy it.Now, the game is graphically superb. Creating an atmosphere of fifties America, which is seen in the way people talk and dress. The levels include the farm, the fairground, and the white house, and more. All have been excellently created, all feeling like a world in themselves. Now,the game allows you to follow a plot and this in itself is incredible. In one level, you must take on the form of a human, read the minds of all around to find which one has the most simple mind, and then convince them to come back to the spaceship (well hypnotize them to come back to the spaceship!) Thankfully there are also a number of side quests in each area. These include racing, to collecting enough DNA in each level. This DNA can be used to upgrade weapons you have on your spaceship and you own hand weapon. This brings me on to my second important point. You can either engage in hand combat, OR use the spaceship to wreak havok on the inhabitants of earth! You have your death ray, abducto beam and Atomic Deconstructor, and it can be a laugh to level an entire level as you please. So apart from all this, are the any major flaws-well, actually no, the graphics are good, the sounds and voices are hillarious, and its actually pretty funny. Its got length and side missions-what more could you want! But remember, its a 15 for a reason...

When I got this game I was amazed at the graphics and gameplay. The story starts off with Cryptosporidium 137, who is a furon being which is a type of alien. This is who you play in the game, the little grey/blue thing with a big head. Crypto 137 has been sent down to earth by Orthopox (your leader in the game) and your mission is TO DESTROY ALL HUMANS AND TAKEOVER THE WORLD!!!!!!But this game is not like Dr. Who in any way. But because you are an alien being you think that America is the only state in the world, and you destroy all humans and their government. You can also turn into a human by inpersonating them. The humans are completely fooled. You can also cortex scan, which is when you scan the thoughts of humans. This is really funny because it is set in the 1950s and they think about Elvis and colur TV screens which they say will never catch on.Then you get to impersonate the President of America and try to explain how cars have been flying around the place, cows started glowing, spaceships sightings. I love Crypto's sense of humor. Like every time someone says 'Little green men!!!' he says ' I am not green people!'. This is hilarious. And he likes to vapourize the plant as well. You can pick things up, like cars people and cows and signs. And you can burn buildings to the ground. There are many ways of killing a human you can, drop things on them, pick up their car when they are trying to get out, vapourize them, burn them, drop them in the water.I also love the characters in this game:SoldiersAgentsPolice menFuronsPresidentsSo far it is the best game around please buy now!!

I first saw this game previewed in Playstation magazine some six months before it was released. Its premise was simple... Destroy all humans. It looked promising with an array of alien weapons, psychic abilities (that let you make people's brains burst out of their heads), and a UFO cruising around the sky eradicating cities. It was all a game should be for sci-fi fans who want to play as the aliens.I am pleased to report that the game does not disappoint. The missions are straight forward but do require you to be a little more cunning than just breaking out into wanton destruction (as tempting as that is!) as you will attract more and more enemy attention. It works on the same sort of scale as GTA,one for suspicion, two for angry locals and cops, three for the army and four for Magenta... think FBI but with your weapons. However when you are given the order from Pox to level cities and groups of unsuspecting "Monkeys" you can do so with relish. The graphics are good, the AI can be exceptional (in the case of Magenta's agents and the big boss at the end!) with good cutscenes. The plot itself is quite simplistic and moves you around several cities and areas with story and bonus missions which lead you to gain points to upgrade your arsenal, UFO and psychic abilities. This is a game I couldn't tire of and if you like Sci-fi, Mars attacks and have an attraction to mass destruction you need this game.

Lets face it, Destroy All Humans is a retro. But i envy the guy who said "Destroy All Humans would make a great game!" What a genious!Destroy All Humans combines hilarious gameplay with the the ultimate eyecatcher, you can actually fly a U.F.O on a playstation 2 game! 4 weapons is all you need to obliterate those puny humans in a poisonous cloud of addictive and crack u up gameplay. The game places Cryposporidium, a totally blood thirsty, brain sucking, crainium cracking alien clone of the Furon empire on a mission to find his brother who crashed his U.F.O on the surface of Area 42. Determined to find his lost brother, and cause a bit of damage on the way.One of your main missions in the game is to find and collect masses of Furon D.N.A buried deep inside the every-day human's brain. Crypto don't care about getting a nasty brain stain on his bulletproof outfit when it comes to cracking crainiums wide open. The reason for this crazy D.N.A hunt, well, it's simple really, the Furon species have geneticly mutaited in to a form whitch lacks genitals. So they are unable to reproduce. With 4 crazy weapons by his side, Crypto will find his brother, save his speices from extinction and assinate a few presidents on the way. Not to mention demolish entire citys with his saucer. By the way Amazon, you've mucked up the age rating, it's a 15 plus not a 12 plus!!!!!!!!!

So much has already been said about this game, so I will just try and add a few extra points: Replay value is excellent, think GTA 3 or Vice City, with the exception of playing an alien who can take on the guise of humans and has the best lines and weapons possible in a game. The saucer spacecraft is excellent and the weapons for it cause total destruction, you literally can destroy everything in the game. I found the game to be very therapeutic. The story is excellent; the humour is very intelligent, with constant references to "Commies" and in particular the McCarthy Communist Witch Hunts of the 50's (Just listen to the Men in Black in the game).Scanning a person's brain can often be very amusing and adult humour is persistent throughout the game. Not a game for children. It takes the best Sci-fi from the 50's and, as another user stated, Mars Attacks and gives it a computer game twist. I rate this game very highly, as it really is worth a look for the destructive areas, great graphics and re-playability.The unlockable features are also excellent and worth a look.Alot of thought has been put into this game and it shows, right down to the fact that they named Crypto after a Bacterium (Cryptosporidium - which is his full name) - and perhaps Crypto is a reference to another alien being, namely Superman?

Destroy all Humans 2, the sequel to Destroy all humans is following the first storyline as an alien intends to destroy all humanity. The game starts off flying round retrieving data cores and shooting people. The game itself however becomes increasingly dreary as you play on. You find that the threat of killing humans gets a bit tiring. The same people and the same places. Killing a few people, taking over body's and making sure you have not been seen. The weapons are quite original with the typical laser gun with a jetpack. The sequel to Destroy all humans offers upgrades to your weapons, these are very similar to the first game. However, on the positive side of the game,it is a long term worthwhile game with a lot of fun. In my case, throwing people into the water is the highlight. The most unimpressive part of this game is definitely the UFO, being chased by the same old tanks does not provide enjoyment. All in all, the game is worthwhile for short term fun, and a long term storyline, but don't play it too long as it does tend to get boring. I would suggest buying the first game.

Saw the preview for this ages ago and the idea of the game had me hooked! I just hoped the game would fulfil it's potential and believe me it has! I won't go into too much detail but basically humanity is looking down the barrel as there is a strand of alien dna in humans and the aliens have been cloning themselves for years and have suffered bad consequences! The game itself has great graphics and cut scenes and the ufo 1950's style music really adds to the comedy of the game, along with anal probes and extracting brains to munch on! The abilities you have include moving objects with your thoughts, hypnotising people, morphing into humans to use as disguise. The thing that makes it great is that the Furion race is pretty clueless about humanity so your mission is to gather info to let them see the big picture and who controls MAJESTIC (the men in black!)Only get it yesterday in Tescos of all places and nearly got into a ruck as there was only one copy but managed to get away. It is addictive, original and it's funny too without a doubt worthy of your collection!!

This game is one of the most original and funniest games I have played in a long while. As the name suggests you play an alien who has come to earth to wipe humans from the face of the planet (he is also there to collect DNA and find his previous incarnation but he mainly wants to just kill people). To help you in your mission you have a number of weapons from the basic Zap-O-Matic through to the Ion Detonator grenade launcher that do everything from electrocute to atomize and all in brilliant 1940's styling. You also have a fully tooled up flying saucer with Death Rays and Abducto Beams aplenty and your innate psychic abilities that you can use to terrify the foolish humans that stand against you.The missions your superior sends you on range from the absurdly easy to the fiendishly difficult but there is always something to interest and challenge you. The only criticism that I have of this game is that there is no multi-player option but that is a minor dampener on an otherwise brilliant game.

This is one of those games where you just want to muck around a bit on, the gameplay is more fun, than thrilling and engaging but the aded bonus is that its one of the funniest games around. However the gameplay is ubelievably repetative and after a while (being such a long game) it can get extremely boring. The graphics have been put together well and the there are some good music tracks to go along with the eary alien mood. Not forgetting ofcorse all the new , mad and giant weapons you get to lay your hands on, are extremely fun for vapourising the men in black with. The mind tricks (lifting cars and other objects about) is a little corny and you do get abit fed up with it after a while, but its still a real hoot to throw cars and eventually tanks all over the place. So if your looking for a seriouse game that you really want to get stuck into, don't buy this game, but if you want a game that you can simply fade in and out of for a bit of fun then this is the game for you
