I've been slowly collecting pieces in the De Buyer Affinity range when they are on special pricing on Amazon. I added the oval frypan because when I use a large round pan, the unused areas spray fat droplets as I fry, so the better the fit of the food in the pan, the less the mess. Only downside was is that it was old stock so has the handle has the slot for the keep cool handle, my other Affinity pieces are newer and have the round De Buyer logo in the keep cool handle. Doesn't change how it cooks, just how it looks compared to my other Affinity items, but then it was a great price. Highly recommended. I currently have gas cooktop and a single induction hotplate,
