'C.S.I: Hard Evidence' is the first C.S.I. game to appear on the Xbox 360 (although it is the forth in the series) and is a fantastic addition to the franchise. You take the role of yourself, a new crime scene investigator on the Las Vegas team. With the help of Gil Grissom, Catherine Willows, Nick Stokes, Warwick Brown, Sarah Sidle and Greg Sanders at the scene of the crime, you must gather evidence and use it to find the killer or cause of death in five orignal stories based on the TV show. Once you have gathered the evidence you must take it to the lab to process further and then use the proof to help grant a warrant (with the help of Jim Brass) to arrest any suspects for further questioning.Autopsies are also present from ME Al Robins, where further trace evidence and information including cause of death can be collected. For an Xbox 360 game the graphics aren't the best but it still does capture the style and class of the show very well. All of the voices are provided by the actors from the show, so this adds much more realism to the game. If you've played any of the previous CSI games on the PC or games like Phoenix Wright (Nintendo DS) or Law & Order (PC) you'll know roughly what to expect here with point and click controls and full use of all of the CSI equipment.Overall this is a fun game that fans of the TV show should love and it's the only game of it's kind on the Xbox 360 so far and works surprisingly well, even though it doesn't have mouse controls. Other than the average graphics, this is a top quality game that is fairly challenging and good fun and is definitely worth a try if you like CSI.

This is a great game to sit back and enjoy from the comfort of your sofa or armchair, especially if you want to play through it with a friend. You point-and-click using the Wiimote, and I find that a very easy and enjoyable way of interacting with the game. The cases are of a fairly similar nature to the ones you'll see in the TV show, and I think they will keep most players happy. However, hardcore gamers will probably not like it so much, as the pace can be a little slow. The difficulty of the game can be customized a lot, depending on how much of a challenge you want. On a fairly easy level, a case takes me 2 or 3 hours... although you can save your progress at any time to come back to later. There are also unlockable secrets which you can get if you go back and try to gather pieces of evidence you might have missed the first time.If you get really stuck, you can ask for hints, which can be a total lifesaver! :) The gameplay is entirely possible without hints though... you just need to be thorough. (I will admit, some of the thoroughness can be a little tedious, but it's really not too bad). The graphics are decent, but not wonderful (some of the characters look a little odd). One significant issue to be aware of is that the image quality on a TV can make it difficult to see certain details in the game, so it can take a little guesswork on occasion. That's quite rare though. And the sound quality is good, with reasonable voice-acting provided by the original cast.Overall, it's a good game. A few minor flaws, but nothing serious. Well worth the money.

I am addicted to the CSI shows and was impressed by this game. It is true to the format of the show and the characters are pretty good representations. This game is for those of us who like to think and take time to play, not fast and furious as so many games are. There is a training session to give you the idea of how to go about finding the clues and hints along the way if you need them. You can change the settings to make it harder or to see when you have completed certain tasks, like searching a crime scene. Grissom gives you a review at the end of each investigation and you can see any gaps in your work!I played all the games, improving as I went and was able to play again getting a better review to master standard at the end.It is a bit of a pain having to go back to Brass's office each time you want to get the warrants but logical and methodical as investigating is.If you like finding clues (and catching the insects for Grissom) and solving crimes go for this game.

I'm like others on this in the respect that I wasnt sure whether to buy with some of the reviews on the internet but I am glad I did.It is a point and shoot game with 5 cases to complete using a different partner for each case who is chosen for you and is harder than you might think. There are many ways to collect evidence along the way including using integriswabs, taking finger prints, photos and using tweezers to get items out of things amonst other ways. The main aim is to go around collecting as much evidence as possible that you can find, analyze this and then see if that allows to to get warrents to search further or to speak to a witness further. It definately gets you thinking but can get a little tedious if played for long periods but still worth taking a shot on,also if you get stuck you can ask for hints although this does count against you! There are ways to get bonuses in the game as well.I would recommend this as it is fun and does make you think.

I have bought several of the CSI games in the past and really enjoy playing them. I like it much better on PC than Nintendo as the scenes are easier for me to see as is collecting evidence. So far I've only played the first game and as usual I enjoyed the process of finding and analysing evidence- with this game you can also release bonuses by catching little bugs. Not vital but enjoyable. As other reviewers have stated, the characters look absolutely gross. If anyone was a fan of Deep Space Nine back inb the day, just remember ODO, the changeling security officer and you'll get an idea of what the characters look like. In contrast, the locations seem excellent to me.I think the character design programme must be in need of a makeover!Anywayif you like seek the object games, this may be up your street and then some.I shall be keeping my eye out for similar games but hopefully ones that can live up to Windows 7 capacity.

I am completley addicted to CSI. I watch all the series on telly Vagas, Miami and New york. I only got my wii at the weekend as a birthday present from my husband along with CSI hard evidence and i have been playing it ever since and now i am addicted to this game. If you are a fan of the program this game gets you in the thick of it. It's not easy either if you play properly. You have to look really hard for the evidence and analize them. I got a bit stuck at one point thought i had collected everything but i hadn't and so the game didn't move on till i had found all the evidence. I don't have hours at a time to play this game, i play it when i get home from work before my husband gets home and at weekend in between house work.i would highly recomend this game to anyone who likes CSi programs and anyone that like games that you have to use your brian to a great extend. How long till we have miami and new york games to!

I just got this game yesterday and so far im impressed and its good fun to play. Im playing it on the Wii which might add to the fun factor. Its got the right voices and the scenery and items etc. are detailed enough. There is plenty to do and you can change the level of difficulty via the options which is good. Its new cases which I havnt seen on any other CSI game which is refreshing plus there are more lab machines to interact with and matching fingerprints etc. is harder work which is a plus.My boyfriend and I are playing it together which is fun and we have nearly finished the first case. As we get better at it I might make it more difficult. The only downside I can see is some people mightcriticise the graphics as they could be better but when I play a game on the Wii its not for the graphics but for the fun factor of being involved and the interaction.

Having played all the other CSI games I was really looking forward to this, but I was a wee bit disappointed. It isn't anywhere near as in-depth as the others and I finished this in two sittings. There's no real replay value in it and there are only 5 achievements so not much of a challenge. The stories are good and not too predictable so that's a plus. It's easy to pick up and play even if you've never watched CSI or played the games before, and there's an optional tutorial at the start which would help if you're new to point & click games.Whilst most of the voices are spot on, the characters really don't look right at all but I guess that's not really part of the game anyway. Is it?I liked it,I enjoyed playing it, I may have another go for the collectibles but I wouldn't say that it was anywhere near as good as the others in the series.

Despite the very mixed reviews of this game floating about on the web, I thought i'd go out and buy this game. Im glad I did. For fans of the TV show this is a great game it has all the tools and equipment you would expect on a CSI game. The storyline is great and the graphics are not that bad at all. The only slight niggle I had with this game is that it can get tedious at times but a great sense of achievement when you solve a case. All in all a great game for the fans, maybe not as good for newbies but id recommend giving it a go anyway, and at £20 you cant grumble!!

Pretty much agree with everything said by the other reviewer. All the tools, all the characters, and very engaging storylines. Can be a bit tedious going backwards and forwards looking for a missing piece, but thats what would happen in real life so not too big a complaint. Completed the first case in about four hours with the mrs, with a great sense of achievement afterwards! Would recommend to any CSI fan who isnt impatient.

This was one of the first games I was bought for my wii and I have to say I really enjoy it. It is ideal if like me you enjoy the tv series and have an interest in crime solving. I also love the fact that the game allows you to use all the techniques for gathering evidence.

4.2.2010

The game is good, but hard, sometimes the clues dont jump out at you, but the graphics are good and so is the sound, we are having fun but have not slved the first crime as yet, its a Sunday funday type of game.

It was my husband that wanted this game as he is a fan of the TV show. I don't watch it but this game has me totally hooked! It was great value for money. Very different from other games. A must have game.

14.9.2009

This game is good i really enjoyed it you have to think about all your moves, moving to each location means the wii loads, this was a bit tedious i must admit, but apart from that its all good

20.4.2011

I enjoyed this game. It was like being inside the TV show. Some hidden items were really hard to find, but that's good. I am looking forward to playing the next CSI game soon.
