First of all I would like to mention that the weight of this case is 7 kilos (not 6 or 6.5 as mentioned in other reviews). A normal golf bag with 11-12 clubs weights between 10 to 11 KGs. Hence, weight of case + bag = 17 - 18 Kilos. Thus you have to be careful with the total weight and check what are the specifications (in terms of size, weight, etc. ) of the flight company.Reading other reviews I was a bit hesistant regarding the length and space of the case. Regarding the space it can accommodate big standing golf bags. Cart golf bags are bigger (in terms of width) thus they might no fit in. After you place your bag in the case, there is still room to put your shoes and few clothes.Regarding the length, rest assured that the case is long enough to hold even the lengthiest driver club. Thus no problem with that.Regarding the quality of the case, it comes in two pieces that can be assembled in 30 seconds. There are also 3 locks (with 6 keys - all the same - one key opens all locks!!!) attached to the case. The small layer of foam at the inside (top) of the case does not really add any extra protection for the club heads because it is very thin.Overall, the construction and quality should have been better, given its list price (£119.00). Nevertheless, at the price of £75.99 (which to my opinion is still expensive) one can buy a good case that can help protect the golf clubs (for a trip with a plane), especially by taking into consideration how luggages are handled at the airport.

This is a semi rigid plastic moulded case that arrives in two halves. The lid and base have three hinges along the long side (barrel on one half and 3 elongated 'L' pins that run parallel on the other. The location is by alinement, then Velcro strips prevent the hinges sliding apart. Simple and effective. There are are three locks with a shared key which are neat. The base has a groove running around the rim - The top has a tongue running around its rim and the two need to sit flush for the catch of the locks to line up up. This on occasion can be fiddly so recommend done on a flat surface rather than with the case standing up. The successful engagement of the tongue and groove,in addition with the hinges and locks give the case surprising rigidity. The wheels allow for easy transport (and the central handle is also of good quality). The case is quite large if transporting in a car. At the airport is gets directed to the oversized luggage and coincidentally another gentlemen had a more traditional golf bag he was checking in. At the price of decent wedge (this hard cover would arrive with its contents intact) - however the 'sock' alternative for the conventional larger bag looks to provide a less secure and therefor greater chance of a loss of club/s in transit. The hard cover will accommodate a full set of clubs in golf skinny / pencil / quiver type bag.

I have a golf trip abroad in a few weeks time so wanted a robust hard case travel cover to minimise club damage and increase security. This fits the bill very well. Relatively easy to assemble the lid and base together with the addition of 3 locks, it took around 20 minutes to complete. The proof of the pudding will obviously be the trip to and from my destination, but I am reasonably confident that it will do a good job.

We bought one of these cases each and they went to Cyprus and back with no problems. They were obviously abused by the baggage handlers because they both had a bit of travel rash on the extremities. However, the structural integrity remained uncompromised and the hinges and fittings remained undamaged. Most importantly though is that the sets of clubs were protected and came home as good as they left.

Does the job, maybe a little heavy - beware of this if you are taking it on a plane with your clubs, you will hit the 20kg limit pretty easily. With only one flight undertaken, there is already a fair amount of wear to the base of the case - maybe due to baggage handlers not taking much care but I can see that the base could wear through if slid on a rough surface.

Easy to assemble the box, which makes storage at home when not using it so easy, the 10in diameter golf bag and 14 clubs fit perfect, and there is still room for those little golf extras such as shoes and clothing, a good all round travel case for golf equipment, will be interested to see how long the wheels last after several flights.

Quite a good hardcase to travel with. I don't regret to have bought this rather than a soft bag. I think any stand bag, with any driver, would fit. I only wish the plastic was a little thicker, but it would have been even heavier! Total weight with my full bag is 11 kg.

The case performed admirably on a two-flight journey to Phoenix, Arizona and back to Belfast.I can certainly recommend it. There were no signs of any damage, although that obviously depended on the quality of the baggage handlers on four sets of loading and unloading!!

Worked really well on a recent trip to Spain (Easyjet). Although, the weight can increase rapidly to the airline's limit as the case alone weighs about 6.5kg, but I suppose that cannot be helped. It's quite sturdy though and looks good, seems well made.

My son uses this bag to carry the model helicopters around the world in the airplanesThe size is correct and it’s enough hard (also if not all the workers managing the luggages in the airports are not so careful...)

Very good product! I'm using it as a case for my Historical Fencing equipment and it works perfectly. The handles are not amazing, but that's a very small and unimportant problem compared to how useful the case is.

Perfect solution to carry items that need protection on a plane that won't fit in a normal suitcase. Lightweight but strong, these cases will protect not only your golf clubs but many other fragile goods.

18.2.2014

Large enough for a normal carry bag, only slightly heavier than my old canvass style hold all, but as my driver was snapped needed something that would protect the clubs better, this fits the bill

This is the second case as the first one was broken by the airport staff! However it had seen many travels. The clubs are safer in a hard case and protects the clubs far better this way.

26.1.2017

It was what I expected. The size suits the size of my clubs even the driver. Up to now I have not yet tried to travel with it and have no experience if it is accepted by the airlines.
