If you are looking for a good, fun party game to play with friends then I would definitely recommend Crossboard 7 as it is much better then Sonic Free Riders, the other boarding game currently available. However, if you are a die-hard snowboarding game fan then you might not be too bothered by this as I don't think the single player mode is that challenging. But, I've been renting Kinect titles to try before I buy and would say this is one I will be buying, especially now the prices have dropped.PROS:- Picks up your movements quite accurately (unlike titles like MotionSports and Sports Island Freedom)- You can use your Xbox avatar to play- The menu navigation is one of the best and quickestof the Kinect titles I've played (just raise your hand to instantly choice the option instead of waiting 3 seconds each time)- Very easy to collect achievements- It's not just about winning races as you can collect items to use on other players and also do other challenges like Downhill Slalom, Fly Distance (jump the furthest), Trick Score (rack up the most points by doing tricks), Balloon Buster (collect points by bursting balloons) as well as the Stadium Mini Games (Big Air, Terrain Park, Half Pipe)CONS:- You do need to be about 7ft back to play- The game takes 3 photos of you playing per race but I don't think you can save/upload them- Can be repetitive if just playing single player- There aren't any difficult achievements to aim for as you could probably get the full 28 in a day- Apparently the louder your friends cheer in the background, the faster you go but I can't say I've noticed this at all- It's just another Kinect party game (but a good one)Overall, i liked this game to play with friends but really I would like more original Kinect games that use the tech in a more innovative way instead of just making lots of party games. I shall be looking forward to new releases in the future.

Ok I sort of liked this game, but I wasn't really drawn into it with a great big adrenalin rush. Confession: I've never used a real snowboard and I don't know what a real aficionado would make of this pixel version. The menu navigation is thankfully rock solid. You have the option to play as your avatar or a Japanese cartoon character. The training games are a little short and perhaps unchallenging, but once you get through them there are more competitive courses- not only on snow, but also water and a stadium (presumably your ever growing collection of boards gets wheels miraculously added). So without the need for a Wii Balance board, you can simulate twists and turns and jumps. The only thing is that I wasn't quite sure how I was managing to achieve the acrobatics so well. Then I leant over to answer the phone and was immediately awarded 30 gamer points for a spectacular move I had had no intention of making! Hmmm.....Definitely pleasant enough. The Kinect certainly is capable of simulating snow sports type twisting motions. It's worthwhile if you are already into this type of game (better than the Sonic one, which I couldn't even get started on the demo version). However after a while I feel that you may notice that the programming is a bit over helpful and you may tire of the simplicity.

OK So I was a cynic when it came to Kinect. As a "core" gamer I thought "meh" when looking at the launch titles. However I bought it for the missus, we got it home on launch day and I picked her up a copy of this game as well as the Kinect Adventures it comes with. So once she dragged me up off the sofa and made me try this I realised it was massive fun. Quite the workout too as you have to jump, lean, twist and shake your booty to get down the courses quickly with maximum style. There's loads to unlock (around 50 boards) and lots of varied courses and events, from slalom to trick scoring and balloon bursting (VERY hard work!) My only gripe is the acheivements are of the giveaway variety - I like to earn mine!-(take note scoremongers) with 150 just for completing four different tutorials correctly (!), 80 for maxing out the trick meter and landing it and 40 each for a double spin trick vertically and horizontally. (I got all three of those off one waterfall in one course!).So overall, fun, exhausting, calorie busting and cheap points, well recommended.Vinyl Mat Black.

This game is very fun underated and your really tired by the end of it. But its worth it because your having fun at the same time and you dont even notice how much fun your having until you come addictive to unlocking all the new things.
