RGB LEDs in PCs tend to divide people into one of two camps; those who love the colours and modding and those who think they're tacky and unnecessary. Thankfully, I fall into the former camp, so I was glad to be able to add to my PC's lighting system with these new Corsair fans. The fans themselves are top quality and produce very little noise, while beating my existing NZXT 140mm fans in cooling, That's impressive in itself, but Corsair have managed to add some great lighting features at the same time.No longer do you need to worry about what colour fans go with your case. These allow you to change between all the different colours at the touch of a button,as well as several effects like strobing and cycling through all the colours.Installation was straightforward, bar the screws which I still think are slightly too big for the holes and required some pretty hefty turning with a torque screwdriver, so be warned. It's literally; screw the fan in place, pop the wires down the back of the PC (or wherever you drape them), connect the fan controller to the motherboard and the other wire to the main control unit and a little three button controller and then place this unit anywhere you want, either inside or outside the case. I chose to stick mine inside as athough I'd need to open my case to change colours, it looked better than having the controller sticking out the back, but it's really up to you.No software to install, it's all controlled with the single physical controller. The main unit can take another 5 fans, all of which are controlled with the same three button controller. This does mean they all need to be set to the same colour, so no multi-colour displays, unfortunately. As my case wouldn't really benefit from lights at the front, as it doesn't really have any transparent sections there, I'm sticking with one fan, with a view to maybe change the liquid cooler fans later, though these, too, are 140mm at present.Overall, then, easy to install, looks great with the light really shining through the frosted blades and easy to control. Add the Corsair quality cooling and lack of noise and you have a winner.

Having owned a built many high end rigs over the years, they all rely on one thing to keep them cool and running, fans. Much has been done over the years to eak out high performance, quiet performance etc and so I am glad to see someone come along and start innovating a bit more on what could be considered a mundane area that is absolutely critical to how well your rig is going to run. These days I favor quiet so I was keen to see this in action as it boasts a number of features above other fans.First impressions are superb. Well packaged in a good solid box and the fan itself is very well made.It uses a 3 pin header and the cable is nice a long for a change making cable management a touch easier without resorting to extensions.Ramping up they do get loud but no more so than my existing fan(s) and being SP models they sit on the quieter side of things. The rubber dampers if case mounted would go a good way to reducing vibration transfer. These would be ideal fitted to a radiator in my opinion as they can focus some serious air flow. The manufacture of these fans is also rated for 200,000 hours of life which is very reassuring.SP or static pressure models are designed to be quiet and focus airflow so they are ideal on cpu coolers or radiators. The fan has multicolour RGB LED selection which seem's to be what every gaming manufacturer insists that we want, nice to have but I prefer non-LED fans. These would however look great if you are lighting your rig a certain way. This particular one also includes a 3 button controller for the leds which let you cycle, effects/effects' speed and colour which makes them more versatile compared to fans with a fixed LED colour. Although it would have been interesting if they had incorporated these onto the fan itself with tiny switches or something.Overall a superb fan which quietly pushes A LOT of air and I would say is up there with Noctua etc now in terms of fans you should be looking at for your build. switcheable LEDS offer pizzaz and flexibility too if thats your thing.

Although I use my PC for gaming, I don't push it too hard and as a result I don't need a huge amount of cooling within the case. Having said that, I currently have 3 LED fans managing air flow through my case at the moment and I tried out the Corsair SP120 in place of one of these fans.Installation is as simple as you would expect for such a fan, just screw it in, connect the generously long 3-pin cable Corsair have provided and you're all set. At default setting, the fan is surprisingly quiet, which I was really pleased about. When I increased the speed using my fan controller the noise level went up quite a bit, and if I'm honest the increased air flow performance was barely worth it.With it's thin, translucent blades I get the impression that the SP120 is designed for looks arguably more than performance. To be fair, it scores highly in that area. The LEDs are bright and capable of different colours. The included controller can be stuck to the side of the case and features buttons to select the lighting mode, speed and colour. This works pretty well although long term I'm dubious how much use it will really get.As a quiet and pretty case fan, the SP120 does a good job. It isn't going to have a massive impact on the cooling performance of your system as the air flow generated is OK but not the best of its type. The additional noise for the mediocre air speed isn't worth it. But if you don't rely on it for maximum cooling and just want something which lights up your rig nicely, the Corsair SP120 is worth a look.

From the rating my review seems like I'm telling you not to get these, which is not what I'm trying to say. The fans look amazing and I disagree with people saying they're too bright. However the installation process was horrible for me with the screws sent with them being very cheap and a few of mine slightly broke making them unusable. 2 of my fans out of 4 are held by 3/4 screws. Also the wires are long enough to connect to most of a mid-tower case, but not long enough to hide across the edges of the case so my PC has wires hanging everywhere.I'd recommend getting these fans but be weary of the horrible installation process and maybe get extension cables.

Great fan by Corsair, its very quiet and RGB lights are a great addition and are fairly bright. The fan seems to be faster than my old one and is much cooler, you can really feel the breeze from it and it has brought my pc's temp down around 5 degrees. The lights have multiple modes you can choose from like flashing or the standard mode and you can also set the speed.definitely worth purchasing if you need to cool you pc's temp or just want some lighting. The screws that came with it though seemed to be to thick and would not go in as they were too tight ,however i just used the ones from my old fan instead so it wasn't a problem.

I have built quite a few computers over the years and have tested a lot of fans, seeking that desirable combination of cooling performance and quiet. This is the second Corsair fan I've tried and the quality is just brilliant. It is relatively quiet at low speeds but I would recommend fitting with isolating rubber fixtures rather than screws to keep noise to a minimum. The lighting is very fancy and looks great, if you like that kind of thing. I am more interested in the quiet operation and cooling performance, for which this Corsair fan comes highly recommended.

A nice bling case fan and controller. Pretty colours in the dark. Bit like a circus with the coloured lights and wheels. It's quite easy to set up drawing power from a SATA cable but you'll need to by more fans to make a lightshow. The controller sits outside your case and has three buttons for speed, colour and mode. Mode is the lighting style used, eg flicker. Each press steps you through the allowed option and around again at the end. Could get a bit overdone with graphics cards using similar coloured lights etc. Whatever, as a bit of fun it seems fine.

I'm not a computer expert, but I have learned to add components and upgrade my pc to a basic degree. I found this was pretty easy to install in place of my knackered old fan, and I got it running without major trauma. The lights are pretty but irrelevant to me, as you can't see them in my case. The fan does a good job of cooling my rather old and weary machine, but it does get noisy at times - more than my old fan. Still, it is a lot more efficient, so if I do decide to build a 'new' pc in the near futureI will be re-using this component in that.

After my old fans finally bit the dust, thought I'd expand on my Corsair system - these fans fit the bill! Compatible with iCUE, look the part, generally pretty good! One thing to bear in mind is that although the fans are controlled by a standard 4-pin connector for their speed, for the lighting you'll need an optional fan hub - something like the CO-8950020 from Corsair's website can be had for £10 (plus shipping) if you don't have a Commander Pro already. At least the fan hub connects to a Lighting Node Pro (provided with LED strip packs).

Pros - very well made product with small rubber corners , I presume to reduce noise. Everything required was in the box and both the cables required for the LED controller and MB header were long enough to connect without any hasle.Cons - although the kit does come with screws the holes in which they go into don't seem to be threaded, this then requires 1. The strength to force the screws in and 2. The strength not to go mad when you inevitably strip the face of the screw away never to remove again.

These fans are stunning. I bought a 3 pack to fill my corsair 220t case (which already came with 3). They are super quiet and have the same inner ring as the LL120s, without the extra cost. Despite the lack of outer rims, they are plenty bright to light up my whole case to the point where I might not get RGB strips. The colour quality is amazing - pictures will never do it justice. The effects and blends are like butter and the iCue software is the best RGB software out there.

Absolutely beautiful looking fans these and top notch silent performers, if you buy corsairs rgb led kit, they can be controlled by your pc via software!, amazingly good.if you were thinking about getting thermaltake riing DONT these are much much better. the thermaltakes dont do white properly due to poor led placement and diffusers, and are vibration disasters. ive got 10 yes TEN of these in my thermaltake tower 900 case, they look stupidly good.

7.2.2019

Bought the 3 pack w/lighting controller and then bought 3 single packs of the fans in two different orders so all my pc has RGB corsair fans. Its worth it, they are fast and effective, easy to install which I say as not a super tech person, just need a Philips screw driver. Just wish I could control the lighting effect another way rather than opening my pc to get to the lighting controller. However it does have many different lighting effects.

In my opinion the best looking RGB fans on the market - I have both the 120 and 140mm versions and they’re both great. Reasonably quiet st low - medium speeds but mainly just beautiful. Worth combining with the CoPro and iCue as the colour effects with that are a level above the default ones. I have however set a dangerous precedent in my build as filling a new larger case with these won’t be cheap...

Another great fan by Corsair. They've always been our go to brand as they're quiet, the lights look stunning and are fully controllable and they last a long time and come with a warranty.I'm using this alongside 3 older ones so will definitely be upgrading eventually to these LED ones. Very effective cooling and super easy to install.Recommended, stunning product!
