Crimson Skies ranks highly amongst my ultimate retro games. For its age the graphics are still pretty good and exceptionally smooth. The idea behind the game is inspired, insofar as pirates stalk the 1930s air in giant armed airships and fighter planes. The game often requires simple point and shoot game-play and makes a point not to become too complicated, almost to the point where it could be considered an arcade game of sorts. Fantastic for killing time and should you happen to be a fan of non-complicated flight-combat-sims this game should be on your computer.Microsoft Flight Combat Simulator lets the side down unfortunately as it is seriously showing its age now.
