Such a God send.Having spent longer than I care to remember using £1-£5 pieces of crap, I finally decided to fork out for something with a beter build quality. This device did not disappoint - maximum and fine control over the coarseness of the grind; from extremely coarse to fine, dust-like powder.If you're swithering one way or the other between this and another model, let me assure you that this wee bad boy is the one for you. You will not be disappointed.Oh, and arrived within the agreed time limit.

Have had numerous grinders over the years. Most have been disappointing. I won't say that this is the very best that I have EVER had but it is the best that I have sourced in recent years. So pleased that I have ordered a 2nd one for a different type of pepper. (Cole & Mason a long time manufacturer of quality grinders in my experience). If appearance is relevant to you then they do look 'quality' with the beech wood. Do experiment with the 5 settings until you find your preferred grind.

I did wonder about spending what seemed like a large amount on just a pepper grinder, but this is nothing like Just a pepper grinder, this is next level seasoning. Incredibly practical, very stylish, it's hard to put into words how good a piece of equipment this actually is. The control of the size of grind is incredible. I swear this gets the best out of every peppercorn. If in doubt at all, buy it. You will not be disappointed.

I have bought more pepper and salt mills than I care to remember. This is the best pepper and salt mill I've ever owned. All the others would only grind a small amount for a great deal of effort, these are quite the opposite. A pleasure to use. I sought these out after using them at a friends home. I bought the wooden ones as that's what my friend had and I didn't want to gamble on a different style.

Bought for mother-in-law to match a pepper mill she already has. The quality is very good, and it was delivered promptly. She was highly delighted, and not only uses both mills, but also loves to display them around the kitchen. This I find a bugbear, as everytime I tidy them away, they suddenly appear from nowhere. None the less a good buy, and I would certainly buy again.

Like other reviewers after years of buying low to mid price pepper mills to no effect whatsoever, i.e. they all pack up and I throw away in disgust, I finally decided to give this one my last chance as the reviews were so good. It is not cheap, but if it lasts I don't resent the cost. All seems good so far ! Time will tell !

Bought mine a few weeks ago and would'nt buy another version, this is really brilliant. Only wish my husband hadn't broken mine. He has somehow not understood how to operate it. I presumehe used excessive force, thus the mechanism no longer grinds :-(

As another reviewer indicates, filling with peppercorns is difficult as the wooden top lifts off ok but the plug below is stubborn but can be carefully prised out in order to refill with peppercorn. The item is first class.

Had one of these before and loved it (husband dropped heavy sauce pan on it and it broke) so quickly replaced it with another. Only down point/I was suprised to read in the instructions 'do not use salt flakes' which I am!

Best pair of salt and pepper mills I've ever owned. Grinding is very efficient and the adjustment from coarse to fine realy works well. Product has be reliable so far (about three months use. Easy to fill as well

Bought as a gift, served me right for asking what I could get! Seriously, i took this as a challenge and this did not disappoint. Really stylish and functional. Absolutely what Cole and Mason do best.

Wanted a different design to match my other pepper cellar but this was not on offer as a single cellar, thus I had to buy this one.It works well, the fine grind is great , very fine.

Works well, easy to refill, easy to use. I like the way that you can choose fine or coarse settings. The only downside is that the dots to indicate which setting do rub off over time.

I sent this pepper mill to my sister as a gift and she is absolutely delighted. Also the added pepper corns was a nice gesture. In her words just what I wanted. Many thanks

Beautiful and functional. I bought it together with the salt mill and the matching tray. They all look beautiful on the dining table. I hope that it lasts.
