I disagree with the people saying this takes a lot of effort to get little pepper out, mine has always worked absolutely fine. Bit odd that there is such a disparity. Very stylish, easy to clean, indeed it doesn't seem to produce great big lumps of pepper but most foods don't want that. Only problem is price, I had my pair as a gift and thought it would be nice to buy for someone else but 13 pounds for just one half of a set is a rip off.

After some disasters with cheap grinders that lasted less time than the salt and pepper inside them it was great to buy something with a bit of quality but at a reasonable price. These are well made, they work and are holding up in daily use. The grinder is not adjustable except by loosening the assembly but the pepper and salt grinds are about right. Unlike some grinders these do not spill too much out the bottom after being used.

We have gone through so many of these salt and pepper grinders, the last one from Boden (don't buy they are rubbish with terrible customer service!) lasted about 3 months only with no excessive use.These both feel high quality and work faultlessly and are what I wish we had bought about 3 Salt & Pepper grinders ago.Highly recommended and very good with the wooden stand to stop the salt and pepper making a mess.Cheers,Scott.

I absolutely love these salt and pepper mills. They are cool, stylish and very easy to fill and use. We have had a series of battery operated jobs, but eventually got fed up with them falling apart (once into someone's dinner) or not working, that we decided to go for a classic mill. This is one of the best, it looks good and performs brilliantly. Go buy one!

The chrome tops are difficult to unscrew, I used a pair of pliers (obviously with a cloth to protect) to undo the pepper. They truly are tough. The salt and pepper are quite course, but I am worried that if I tighten the top screw up anymore I will not be able to open them again to refill.They do look nice though.

Cole and Mason seem to have come up with a first-rate grinding mechanism, coping equally well with both salt and pepper. It does require some effort, but when you consider what you are grinding, it's not surprising.The design is elegant too, it won't look out of place on any dining table.

My mam asked me for a chrome set of salt and pepper grinders for christmas. I trawled everywhere in search of them and came up with nothing. I found these as I was just aobut to give up, they were a bargain price and my mam was over the moon with them.

Fantastic items looked for ages everywhere but couldn't get what I wanted until I seen these great quality. Would definately recommend product and seller, prompt delivery they arrived before their estimated date. 5 stars all round.

Bought as a gift for my sister and brother-in-law as they really didn't know what they wanted. It went down really well - they love it and it's certainly a lot posher that the bog standard salt and pepper shakers!

As we have had a Cole & Mason set for twenty years purchased from Boots , the grinders have just gone. We were aware of thequality and having used Amazon on a number of occasions we were confident of the outcome.

These are elegant looking mills; look great on the table as well as being easy to grasp and grind with different settings to dispense finer and coarser salt and pepper! Would definitely recommend these products!

I have had several of these over the years. Bought these about 2 years ago and they are still working well and are used several times a day. Very well made. Can be tightened down for finer grinding.

Very pleased with these. Well packaged and already have salt and pepper in them. Easy to use,look very smart. They do grind slightly larger than my old ones, but I do not have a problem with that.

Good quality product and great value too! Only downside is pepper shaker is very squeaky (not sure if they are all like this or just my one). Packaged nicely if thinking of giving it as a gift.

So far so good......like several other reviewers have had several grinders that have failed after a few months. These seem much better constructed than most. Have had them for about 3 months.
