I had owned a C&M Precision 505 salt mill that came in a set. Sadly, it stopped grinding the salt, and because I did not want to have a salt mill of a different design to the peper mill, I bought a new C&M Precision 505 salt mill. When it arrived there were detail differences between the old and new mills. Fortunately, the parts of the old mill that match the pepper mill design were transferable to the new mill, and within a few seconds, I once again had a matching salt and pepper mill. I was then extremely happy customer. The new mill works well, and I glad I stayed with Cole and Mason.

This is a cute little item, but am disappointed in the plastic grinding mechanism. I'll tell you, you've got to do a lot of grinding to get just a little salt! Great if you're trying to cut back!

Good product.Replaces a an old worn out wooden version of the same thing.Hope this lasts as well.

Easy to fill and use grinds well and doesn't spill salt out the bottom
