Just finished building this for my son, which took 3 hours start to finish. There are over 600 pieces with this kit! The instructions were clear and easy to follow. There is one book with 62 steps for this one.I'm really impressed with the quality of this product. Having built dozens of Lego toys for my son, I'm now a huge fan of Cobi. You really can't tell the difference between the pieces except for the price of the end product.The actual design has also been well thought through so as well as actually looking like a chieftan tank, the pieces are really well tied in together to make a robust toy to play with. In fact, I would say this is more solid than most Lego toys I've built.Age-wise young ones will certainly enjoy playing with it,

This was bought as a gift for my son, so won't show as a verified purchase, but the model is brilliant! The instructions are almost faultless and the quality of the finished article is generally robust and easily used as a toy. Compared to online data (Tank Encyclopedia) and personal perception the scale is pretty good. Overall, I'm immensely impressed by this model, and the other two I've made with my sons. My children have models from four different construction block producers, the Cobi models are among the best.

Back in the 'seventies had a Dinky Toys diecast model which sadly got scrapped due to the tracks failing at the join. So was immensely please that this is a 'seventies tank plus don't need to worry about the tracks either! Reckon it's about as good as model you are going to get in brick plus does compare really well my with original plus has a superior level of detail. It's nice to get tech specs plus a tank commander along with a wee bit of history too! Plus fits well together so should be a pleasure to build.

We have 3 Cobi models - two tanks and one plane. They are all superb: highly detailed, appear accurate, lots of unique and special pieces, sturdy build, very clear instructions. Excellent value for money and the final models are anything but cheap. This is not a poor alternative to Lego - better in some ways (eg lots of smooth surfaces for realism). Very impressive.

These COBI kits are great. Our first kit was the Spitfire, and now moved onto the Chieftain Tank. Fantastic quality - not like the cheap fake ‘Lego’ sets you can buy. Took ages to build- which was great, and very happy with finished Tank. Will definitely buy another Cobi kit soon.
