Having seen the reviews about how people's cats did not like it or that it didn't turn out to be a deterent for scratching other items in the house, I thought I would write a review about the actual product and not about the personal tastes of my 3 very individual cats.Absolutely no issues with this as a product. I purchased a complete activity centre about 2 years ago now and am only just getting a replacement scratch pad. I didn't expect my cats to suddenly be obsessed with it on a daily basis, it simply forms part of an activity so they are free as individuals to use it whenever the mood takes them.I have had no issues with the standard of the product, sturdily built to last and the unique build enables you to pop cat nip or treats into the little holes within it. The scratch mat stays in place when fitted and can take a cat quite a while to wear it out. All cats are different. Generally a good, well thought out product which is worth the money in my opinion.

It's taken them a good long time and my cats have finally ripped it to pieces and they want more!We had a lot of trouble with our five cats ripping up the new wallpaper in our house and when we've used scratching posts before but the cats all fussed over it - however when I bought this over they all loved it!Within a week they were really spending all their time trying to rip it up and our smallest cat even used it as a sleeping bed!I recommend it as a solution to anyone who's cats have been tearing wallpaper....However I wish they would do replacement cardboard bits for it but I've yet to see any.

This is layered cardboard with cut holes that get smaller at the bottom. I hide tit bits in the holes and the cat scratches at it to get the pieces out. This keeps him amused and brain active for a while. The reason I gave it 4 stars is because the cardboard tears quite easily and it would be better if you could turn the different layers of cardboard to make some of the holes easier or more difficult for the cat. You can however get replacement cardboard.

Beuatiful little item. Perfectly packaged and presented. This company make such wonderful things. Pretty and also robust. Caspar a little unsure and the catnip soon lost it's scent but it's so different to the massive scratch pole of Smokey's in the kitchen of which he's very possessive. Caspar much more playful so I know he'll soon get the hang of it and enjoy having a scratch system of his own.

Got this to go with the Catit Play Circuit, and she enjoys and keeps herself entertained with this at night now. No more 3:00 a.m. wakeups! The catnip container turns up in the strangest places no matter where I stash it, but the scratch pad itself has gotten more use in one week than 2-3 months of a pricey scratching post! The Catit products compliment one another very well.

My cats absolutely love cardboard scratchers, so I had high hopes for this one... unfortunately the only time they touched it was when I put some catnip on it, and they ended up pulling it right out of the holder. Even though my cats didn't like it, it's good quality and offers a different type of scratching surface that other cats would probably like.

Looking for a new treat for our cat and came across this scratcher. I find he puts small toys there and plays with then to get them out. Very entertaining.Disappointed that the gray mat around it doesn't stay very well attached to the white casing. I find myself having to fix it often.

quick shipping and packaged properly I have poured so much catnip into this thing to keep my cat from bothering me when i'm working and it works great...at least when they are small and my little cat has turned into the original grumpy cat Garfield so he's too lazy to use it. -_-

Ok.... I was a little worried my "babies" wouldn't like this....they love it! They pounced on all three products I purchased. Very happy with the three items I bought... I'm still considering the treat thingy....but I think they'll tip it over. (fat cats)

This is the ONLY scratching pad/post my cat will use. There is something about this he loves. I have the full Catit system. If i use the dry cat nip my guys just lick it off and eat the catnip. I recommend using a spray liquid type of catnip.

At first my two cats weren't that keen but over time they will scratch it every so often. In comparison to other Catit toys, this was the least interesting to them but they will scratch it once in a blue moon.

My cat uses this more than any of the senses toys I bought her. Together with the catnip, that comes with it and drives my cat wild, it's the perfect past time for my tabby and does a good job with her claws!

I saw a setup with this in it that costed about 80 bux, bought all the devises desperately for about 65 bux so you save buying separately not as a group. ANyway baby kitten love this as well as momma cat

My cats love it! This is the 2nd they have had and I was delighted to find this vendor, as the big high street chain where I originally purchased one doesn't sell them anymore! Meow!!
