We bought this for our three kittens when they came home to us at 8 weeks old. All three of them loved it immediately, and eleven months later they still prefer it over the more traditional and larger sisal scratcher. It's lasted brilliantly considering the use it gets on a daily basis and I have come to Amazon today to order replacement boards for the first time. Cats are weird, they like what they like and are disdainful of everything else and no two cats are the same but our three all adore this. Yes, it is 'just' cardboard and my only negative is that at the end of most days I am cleaning up bits of cardboard but that's just a niggle. Overall it's been worth every penny.

We bought this scratcher when the cats were tiny kittens thinking it would be a stepping-stone to a proper scratcher. A year later, despite daily use by three cats, we have only just replaced the first set of 'backbones'. The cats have a proper scratcher now, but given the choice they use this one every time. Extremely satisfied, and will be refilling again when the time comes.

We brought one of these for our two kittens 5 years ago and they loved it. We have since replaced the cardboard about once a year and I am back today to get another set as the girls simple love it. We have had other scratching posts and boxes that have been a waste as this is the only one they love.

I think its quite expensive for a tower of cardboard but saying that its my 2 cats favourite scratching post ever

This is the best cat scratching post I've ever had. My cat no longer bothers with furniture. She loves it!
