This is a genuine Canon replacement and works for my 860is. Its the same as the battery that come with the camera. I was gona buy a generic battery such from other battery suplliers but they are generic and you can never be sure. For a start a lot of them didnt match the 1120mAH spec, but the prices were great.... until amazon dropped their price by £10. Its now one of the cheapest batteries for your camera, ontop of which its a canon one , whereas for this price elsewhere you get one which is generic and i didnt trust it in a £200+ camera. With free deliery you cant get a cheaper battery for your canon.It comes "off the shelf" in the proper box they way you would see it as in a shop.

I bought this battery as a replacement / backup battery for the Canon Powershot SX220 HS so that I could have 2 for travel.Initially, I got a no-name brand but it was DOA so after reading reviews went for this battery as the official replacement battery.It looks identical to the original battery which comes with the camera, and seems to perform identically. They rates these batteries at ~250 shots without the flash per battery life and so far they both have lasted more than that. Recently I took about 550 photos over a weekend (fri/sat/sun), atleast 100 with flash, turning the camera on and off for each set /

I decided to pay the extra for the Canon branded version rather than a non named cheaper item. This is because I've had problems with non-branded batteries before (in mac laptops etc not cameras) and wanted to ensure the maximum quality.I haven't been dissappointed yet, in the first run alone I've manged over 200 pictures with the camera (IXUS 80) on most of the time in between shots.My previous battery (supplied with camera) that I lost a few months previously, had around the same staying power. (c. 300 shots turning the camera on and off)Hope that helps!

When I searched the internet for a genuine spare battery for my Canon camera I found many sites selling the battery at varying prices. However counterfeit battery suppliers seem to be rife on the net and I always had a niggling doubt as to whether the item was going to be genuine or not.Because I trust the Amazon brand name implicitly I had no qualms about ordering my battery from their website. I am totally happy that the battery is a genuine Canon replacement and I have no doubt that it will give me many years of service.

Before buying I was quiet bit doubt about the quality of the battery but it changed my speculation when I got it in hand. I bought it for my newly purchased camera `Canon Power Shot SX200 IS' and after buying I used the battery for a month & it give me excellent service during this time. The performance is quiet high as my original one and it is as like as the description given by the seller more over it is original packed product from Japan. I highly recommend it to buy.

I bought this as a spare battery for my Canon IXUS 860 IS. It is exactly the same battery that the camera comes with and works just as well - in fact I have now forgotten which battery is which! It removes all problems of your battery running out in the middle of the day. Small and portable, it comes with a cap to protect the terminals. I guess the only improvement would be a little bag or container to keep it in, but this is not a real problem for me.

Like C John's review I bought this battery as a spare for my Canon IXUS 960 IS. I tried third party compatible batteries before and they don't last; that is why I paid a little more for a Canon battery. Perhaps it is the Image Stabilisation on the camera that uses up the battery but I often use the spare one before I have filled up the 4GB memory card.Get one before you run out of power on a day out. Very good value on amazon.

I use my Canon Ixusi digital camera a lot and hated being caught out when the battery went. I bought a couple of spares and found that there were many cheap alternatives available.However, my experience was that none of them lasted as long as the Canon original and were unreliable.So I bit the bullet and went back to the original and have no regrets at all. It lasts ages and I have no fears of being caught out.Great buy!

I received this battery just two days after ordering using the standard delivery. On opening the package I was pleased to see that the battery was branded as a Canon,the battery has now been charged and used about 3 times and performs just as well as the original one that came with the camera. Needless to sat I am very pleased with both the seller and the battery. Rodger

I bought this as an extra for my Canon PowerShot SX220 HS Digital Camera - Grey (12.1MP, 14x Optical Zoom) 3.0 inch LCD. I read several reviews and I wanted to get a battery that would not give me trouble. Works fine and no problems. I used with the original camera charger. The product arrived as expected. For my camera this product is fine.

Product arrived before promised delivery date, in excellent condition.Although the Canon Powershot SX210 has a good battery life, it is essential to have a spare charged battery with you when out taking photos.Have only charged the battery once so far, which took quite a while, but future charges may be shorter.

There are a few high quality alternatives to this battery manufactured by Energizer and Uniross that are significantly cheaper. They might be worth a look. While this Canon replacement is no doubt of a high quality it, like most other own-brand replacement parts, is over-priced! Try Google Product Search.

Having recently bought a canon SX200 I couldn't beleive how quick the battery went flat so I had to buy a replacement , after reading other reviews I decided to stay clear of cheap imitations incase they damaged the camera and went for the original . I'm sure it will be worth it in the long run

Bought this as a back up. I had the unfortunate experience of being on a whale watching cruise when my battery ran down. Fortunately got some great pictures before it did, but decided I needed a back up battery to make sure I didn't miss out on taking pictures and videos again

I'm no expert, but everything about this battery looks and feels genuine. Charged up in about the same time as the battery that came with the camera and is lasting about as long in the camera too. I'm very happy with my purchase and might buy another.
