There was a tiny dent on the lid. I noticed another reviewer also had a small dent but managed to push it out. Unfortunately, mine could not be pushed out. I contacted Amazon and Brabantia to see if I could just get the lid. They were both very good but Brabantia sent me a new lid free of charge the next day. The new lid is perfect. So definitely a good company.The quality is better than the cheaper ones in the market. I definitely would not pay £44 for this (the shop price). At £30 that I have paid it feels slightly over priced, particularly given that it was not perfect (the dent).There is a small suction cup at the base near the pedal which is very useful but they should have used 3 instead of one to stop the bin rotating around the pedal.I like the stainless steel pedal,

I've always wanted a Brabantia bin but found them a tad on the expensive side. But you can see why. This Brilliant Steel bin comes with silent closing feature, contains odours well and is non slip on the kitchen floor. You can keep the bin open by lifting the lid and shutting it by pressing the pedal. 12 litre is a good size for a small household. It comes with a pack of bin liners for you to use and has the type of bin liners it requires, if you need to purchase more from brabantia, on the inside of the lid. All in all I'm glad I finally bought one and even the husband, who doesn't see why one should pay so much for, lets face it, something that holds rubbish, agrees that it's quite a sturdy bin.

Should have bought this years ago... but instead I have tried a false economy and bought cheaper ones, including one from a major department store that has corroded and made a mess of the tiles in my bathroom! So, I have invested in a Brabantia, and I am not regretting it. I bought the bin bags to go with it. It's not soft close, but it doesn't clang when it closes, unlike my last bin, which made a noise fit to wake the dead when it closed. I love this bin. It's clean, smooth and simple, as well as easy to clean, and the liners keep everything hygienic.Highly recommended. (I also have the Oral Kiely Brabantia bin in my kitchen, and I love that too. Almost (note almost) makes emptying the bins less of a chore!

There's only so much I really expect from a pedal bin but I have to say that this has exceeded expectations! Brabantia clearly care about providing a quality product. It even comes with paperwork to activate a free warranty! Not only that, but the package also contained a pack of perfectly-sized bin bags for the product. I can't argue with that!The colour itself is great and it goes really well with my sandstone bathroom. I will definitely consider purchasing more Brabantia products as it's clear that they put a great deal of thought and effort into their products.

Bought this for our bathroom and really like it. The colour is lovely if you're going for a farmhouse style look.High quality bin.Good size for bathroom, would be far too small for kitchen.One point to be wary of.. (This was my own fault but wouldn't want anyone else to do the same!) when I opened the box the bin came in I used scissors to slice through and I pushed down hard and it ended up scratching the bin underneath. It is barely noticeable but be cautious when opening the bin.Otherwise 100% happy and would buy it again (if ever got a second bathroom!)

I bought this as I already have their 30L pedal bin models which are excellent. The best thing about the 30L models is the handle of the inner bucket is shaped straight at the top of the arc, making it easy to pick up out of the bin. However, the 12L model doesn't seem to have this feature, making it less user friendly - disappointing. Having said that, it is still, in my opinion, the best 12L bin that money can buy. I use it for food waste recycling. It works a dream and doesn't make the kitchen smell bad.

I bought 2 bins, this 12 litre one and a 5 litre one. They're excellent quality and well worth the extra money. Water stains wipe off easily (unlike previous bins I've had). This came with a sample of 20 bin liners specially made for this bin which was a nice bonus. I liked the size of this one for our main bathroom (the 5L one was a bit small for me for the main bathroom and I bought that for the guest bathroom). If I need another bin, I'll definitely be buying a Brabantia one.

These bins are excellent and I would highly recommend them - just choose a size that suits your needs..I am replacing one exactly the same that I have had for well over 10yrs and I will still be using the old one to store packs of bird seed in the shed. My new one came supplied with 3 free Brabantia bin liners.Brabantia to me means excellence in manufacture and style, and reliable products that will last for years.Sturdy and good looking pedal bin.

Delivery took a while to arrive. Excellent quality and worth the extra money. Water stains wipe off easily (unlike previous cheaper pedal bins I've purchased). I bought this 5 litre one and another 12 litre one. I put this one in the guest bathroom which is perfect. It's a bit small for the main bathroom but that may just be me. Very happy with the purchase and if I need another pedal bin, I'll definitely be getting a Brabantia one.

It's a solid, subdued but stylish, well-performing pedal bin. Not super huge, but good for the mucky stuff. Cleans up well with a quick wipe, and the real clincher for me was the inclusion of 20 Brabantia bin liners, specifically for this size bin, in the box.Doesn't 'stick' to the floor as much as I'd like (there's a small suction cup under the pedal area) but I've not found a bin that ever has.Thoroughly recommend.

I was looking for a rubbish bin that was enclosed so that nothing could drop into it by accident and be thrown away and would also be unobtrusive in the dining room and not look too kitchen-y. This is ideal because it is small enough to hide but smart enough for it not to matter if it is seen. I push it up in a corner near the table and the pedal works easily and well and I am very pleased with it

These days we recycle most of our rubbish, so it makes sense to have a small bin. This one fits neatly into the sink-cupboard but would probably do just as well on the counter near the sink, space permitting. The lid is very securely closed preventing smells from escaping. It's easy to change the bag when full and wash the inner bin if leakage has occured. I'm very happy with my purchase.

This looks great in my bathroom, the chrome finish is lovely but it does need to be cleaned a lot to keep it looking nice. I was disappointed to find that the Size A Brabantia bin liners are a bit too small for it (the tops aren't wide enough to fold over the top of the bucket inside so it's a bit awkward to arrange them properly inside the bin) but never mind, it's handy nonetheless.

I have to say I really like this, its just a much higher quality than what it replaced in my house - a 4 pound version from Wilkos - the fingerprint resistant coating really works, it comes with some Brabantia bin liners to try out too and it really looks the part. I recommended this to my brother to buy after and he bought 2 and is suitably impressed, all in all, very happy.

After purchasing other bins with floor operation and they brake at the rear mechanism, I was concerned at purchasing anther. After using this bin for many months I am pleased that the mechanism still works really well and is made to a high standard and should last for many years.The bin has a removable centre that can be easily removed and empted and cleaned when required.
