Very robust and well made product. It is part of a set of similar devices by Bosch so make sure you select the right one.It comes with the batteries needed and a very useful and strong carrying case which is a really good plus point in my opinion. Having paid over £100 for a tool, the last thing you want is either damaging in transport or having to pay out for another item to protect it which more than likely, wouldn't fit so well. Please note that the instruction book that comes with it covers the whole range and that not all parts referred to are included. In the case of this item, an extension bar is not part of the package so be aware of that. I checked with Bosch customer support on this and they confirmed what was included.

You know the kind of tool that is just great to play with, even if no work gets done (yes you do), well this is one of those. It takes 4 x AA batteries which are included, so no messing, straight to work. It has an on/off button. The display is bright and easy to read and you can press a button to turn the display up side down! This is such a well thought out tool. It also has spirit levels too to help you get a level surface vertically or horizontally. It is also lightweight. It locks very well into position and the lock is easy to used so you don't change the angle while fiddling about.No need to turn it on and then start to measure. You can set the angle then turn it on and it will show the angle set.

This is a serious piece of kit - the sort of thing that a professional builder would use, rather than a casual DIY user.It is weighty and very sturdy in the hand - too large for smaller detail projects, but perfect for large jobs like checking the angle on beams or between floor and ceiling. The results are very accurate and you can measure angles up to 220 degrees. You can also lock the angle in place if you need to.The screen lights up, perfect for use in dark spaces like attics, and the display can also be inverted on the click of a button which is handy. It does also include traditional bubble spirit levels for vertical and horizontal measurements,

I took one look at this and thought "Wow, what a fantastic gift for The Resident Warlock!" He, however, was less enamoured, appalled that it ran on batteries, he moaned, 'It's the sort of thing you use once, then, when you need it again the battery has run out', leaving me to test it out. So, here is the rub. This particular Digitaler Winkelmesser, as the Germans rather naughtily call it, is for professionals only. Don't bother to buy it for ham fisted amateurs like RW who only do D.I.Y once in a blue moon. They will not appreciate it.

I wish I could give this tool 6 stars.It's rugged and very tough, the build quality you expect from Bosch.Easy to read and very easy to use.Can be used at an angle.No excuse for wobbly shelves.

Excellent angle finder, very easy to use. Really robust and very accurate. The lock function works very well.Comes with batteries needed too. Great tool!

I have been using this tool as a carpenter furniture designer for over a year. It is very useful for measuring stairs and slopes in a loft.
