I wanted a robust 4ft spirit level as a straight edge guide for my circular saw when cutting across 8ft x 4ft sheets of plywood.Previously bought the "Silverline 427612 Euro Spirit Level 1200mm", but that was really flimsy and lightweight and not robust enough for the intended use. In the end it came to grief and was easily crumpled when it fell against the motorised mechanism for my garage door.This is far more robust and also has a machined edge, so it much better, both and a spirit level and as a straight edge guide for my saw, which only cost an extra 37p.One annoyance is that it is not 4ft long. It is not even 1200mm long, even with the thick and useless plastic plugs in each end.

It was a long time coming, as the first supplier let me down and I had to reclaim the money and reorder. So by the time I got it most of the jobs I wanted it for had been done, but it will come in useful another time.The bubble holder is not particularly rigidly fixed and could possible move slightly if knocked, so it may be worth checking its alignment occasionally.The aluminium body of the level is a sturdy box section, with a machined edge, perhaps to take out the very slight curve, but it seemed a bit unnecessary for such a budget priced item.For what it cost, for my occasional use, I am very pleased with this level. I wish they would put the horizontal level nearer one end,

This does a fantastic job at everything you would expect, but it does not live up to it's name. The item was originally purchased for construction purposes and performed well. Shortly after the building was completed it became haunted. We had considered calling the Ghostbusters, after watching a documentary where they saved the city from a marshmallow man. However, nobody I knew had their phone number and the internet was no help.After a few days of struggle I realised there was no need to remove the ghost. We had but to calm the ghost's attitude and we could happily live with it, like Slimer did with the Ghostbusters. Bouyed with new found confidence and the knowledge that I had a device to level out the spirit,

I could have used a longer level in the past, but not got one because the cost didn't warrant it when I could use my 600mm level, just with a bit more difficulty. However I had a large floor to level and as I just needed it for one job really I settled on this one as it was cheap.It's a simple level, with no rule along it like some models have and it did the job I wanted perfectly.It is quite light, which actually helps when positioning it at arms length or reaching for it, but I don't think it will take much punishment. Levels should always be treated carefully anyway, but I did notice on this one that when I accidentally put some weight onto it as I was getting up (when it was supported at the ends but not the centre)

For the money, and my intended usage, this is excellent. Mainly used for lots of curtain poles in a newish house that I bought that just had blinds. Just put some masking tape across the length of the proposed pole site, marked a horizontal straight line with this on the tape. Then used a smaller level to draw a vertical line over the horizontal line, where the support brackets were required. I've done this with a tape measure before, but this is way easier and more accurate, less time. I've used it for other things also. I can't complain about it's accuracy at all.I've got quite a few Silverline tools, for the money and the intended use they are fine. The oscillating multi-tool for under £30 is another total bargain.

My old spirit level had been permanently 'borrowed', and I needed one, so I ordered this in haste. Completely failed to register the '1800 mm' in the title, and read in the product description '108 x 6 x 2 cm', which seemed a suitable size for the job I was undertaking.So it's entirely my fault that what arrived was nearly twice as long as I expected (although it might be an idea for somebody to correct the size information, in case anyone else misses the obvious, as I did!)It seems well made, as far as I can tell it's pretty accurate, so there's nothing really to criticise. Just be aware that it's nearly six feet long, so it's not suitable for use in a confined space, but, at £12.61 including P&P,

I was a bit worried when it arrived wrapped in black plastic, i had read a couple of reviews saying when people had received theirs it was damaged and bent, when i unwrapped it i was happy to see it was in immaculate condition.have not used it yet but it seems ok. Theres also a handy 'rough' edge, i guess to stop it slipping when in use. something my last one didnt have.overall very impressed and it arrived on time.(the pic that shows the bubble off-centre is my wonky table not the product lol)

For the price, this level is a steal. It's not the heaviest level by any means as the construction is pretty lightweight but overall this is an excellent budget priced level that gives accurate readings.I used my for dabbing plasterboard sheets onto a wall and I didn't want to buy an expensive level as this was just a one off job. For this purpose, I could have done with just a little more weight in the item but saying that, it still did the job well and at this price, it really is a steal.

For the price this has been excellent , I was having a go at plastering for the first time and needed a nice long level that would take a bit of abuse ( being dropped etc rather than shouted and sworn at , tho having said that it had a bit of that as well when the plaster started drying quicker than I could get it on the wall ?) - this was great , its quite light so no problems shifting it aboult whilst my other hand was full

This spirit level is sturdy (unlike my last one that flexed and contorted when being thrown around). The bubble tubes are crystal clear and mounted solidly. Being made from aluminium it's incredibly light and found itself being manhandled on my project within minutes of it's arrival. I have absolute confidence in this tool, and it offers extremely good value for money. Very happy with it.

I am a 63 year old female and unfortunately, owing to circumstances I now have to carry out DIY jobs. I thought a spirit level may be a good investment, rather than having cock-eyed items and loads of drill holes on walls, etc. I looked at fancy gadgets i.e. laser type but decided this item would be easier to use as it is smaller and lighter than some. I have found it invaluable.

Good level well priced. It is accurate but very light so if you drop it or drop something on it it will get damaged quite easily I would think. A word of warning though. It comes with two machined edges on the bottom which is good for accuracy but the edges are quite sharp so a word of caution for those using it on finished surfaces like table tops or work surfaces.

I find this the perfect length for all the DIY jobs I have. There were several to choose from, so I tend to rely on price and reviews.The only issue raised on some other manufacturers spirit levels was the accuracy and the speed the bubble set. I've been using this for product for a month and it works fine. Well constructed. I would recommend this product.

this is awesome and massive, I used this to check my floors were level also great for walls and large structures. I also could not stop laughing when it arrived. I was thinking about the other reviewer who ordered this thinking it was a normal sized one! must have been a shock when this thing turned up, I was shocked and I knew it was gonna be big :)

Good spirit level, pretty bargain basement but it’s straight, long and gives a good level.The packaging was absolutely awful however and I can see how some of these get bent by the couriers. My one came with some dinks out of the paint but that’s no worse than what I’m going to do to it.Only gripe is that it didn’t come with any spare bubbles.
