After having bought the Chambord teapot with the plastic filter twice in the last 5 years I finally went for this one - best idea ever!I do love all sorts of loose teas, white, green, Oolong, and Rooibos tea...using the plastic filters it took a long time after lifting the strainer until all the water was in the tea pot, due to the very fine structure of the Rooibos it tended to clog the holes straight away. Plus, both of my plastic filters cracked after I accidentally dropped them from a height of about 50 cm only.What a pleasure to use is the stainless steel filter in comparison! I'm very happy with the purchase, the tea pot is not exactly cheap,

In addition to the important points made by the other American reviewer, the metal filter is so much better than the plastic one because the tea strains through it almost immediately when one lifts it out of the pot to halt the brewing process, which is not the case with the less perforated plastic basket, through which the tea takes a little whilet o drain. I would also add that the purpose- made warmer or rechaud is worth getting to keep the temperature high and optimal, as well as being an aesthetic addition to the ceremony of it all.

I love this teapot- it brews a nice cup of tea while not allowing any leaves into your cup, it pours without dripping or spilling, it keeps the tea hot for a decent amount of time and it looks very stylish. I'm never going back to a bag in a mug!
