The sandpit itself is easy to assemble -tools are few and included. The plastic does bend with even slight pressure (such as a 5 month old's elbow) and colour fades over time. You'll need a solution for the bottom to keep moisture from rising and you'll need several bags of sand (we used 11 bags of 25kg to get it two-thirds full.The trouble lies in the red cover which is impossible to use with only one set of hands. It has an elastic to snap on at each corner and a cord to further tighten. Sounds easy? Not quite. If you intend to keep your sand dry and clean from rain, insects, bird and cat feces, you'll be covering and uncovering daily -and you'll need someone to help you every single time.
