Just going to preface this by saying I'm pretty snobby when it comes to headphones, so if you're not overly picky, I'm sure these headphones will suit you!SOUND:The sound quality on these are great, but being closed headphones, the soundstage is limited, so if you're a fan of Hans Zimmer soundtracks, it'll begin to sound very muffled during the intense tracks. Playing games on these however is a joy, the bass on the 4th setting is incredible when playing space games especially. The vacuum of space never sounded so good.I don't know if I would recommend for mobile or console, as the Impedance is very high. You may feel that it is too quiet for you, but hopefully, the sound isolation means that you'll still be able to hear it fine.BUILD:Paying in this price range, you expect a great build quality. There is nothing wrong with these cans, they feel incredibly well built and luxurious. You're also able to detach the cable and mic, allowing for modular changes to best suit your needs. And in the case of the mic breaking, it's not like you'll need to bin it.COMFORT:Decent, but sadly, not the best. When you wear them for the first time, it feels great, but it'll only last a couple of hours until your ears begin to feel sore. They do touch your ears a bit, and I'm a small girl, this shouldn't be an issue. It's sad to say that my Logitech g35's were more comfortable. Perhaps it's the added weight that is rendering it uncomfortable after a long while.MICROPHONE:The crux of this headset, the reason I'm sending these back as soon as I realize what other headset I should get. Check Youtube to see the mic quality and you'll notice the first issue: the sound quality. It's muffled, and catches the hissing at the same time. Your P's and S's will ruin other people's ears. It's so poppy, and again, my old Logitech G35's were better. The other issue is the sound that it picks up. Muting my headset through the controls seems to allow my computer's sound through to discord. They hear what videos I'm listening to, etc. It's direct. Now, this is most likely an issue that won't be a problem with a soundcard, but I'd need an adapter for that first. Point being, if you're looking to buy the full package headset for gaming on PC, you're better off buying the ModMic 5 attachment to headphones or buy a mainstream headset for gaming. Also, the volume control feels a bit strange. when sliding them up or down, one can sounds louder or quieter than the other. You have to be on the right setting. I have no clue whether this is a problem with mine in particular, or how it's built.Overall, its a good headset, it really is. But to me, it isn't much different to my Logitech g35, bar the build quality and slightly better sound. I'm not too sure what else to look into, and I feel tempted just to stick to general gaming headsets until I can physically compare them in a store. The mic really did ruin it for me I'm afraid.

If you are buying this headset for a pc with an Asus motherboard with HD audio then you probably find this headset terrible until you try using a USB connection an bypassing the on board audio then you will see just how good this headset actually is..Using the usb adapter I found this headset truly amazing for a start the build quality is fantastic and there super comfortable even after hours of gaming, I would really really recommend buying a usb amp or sound card with amp if like listening to music as even at max volume there not quite loud enough for my liking but that's to be expected I quess and the mic is pretty amazing as well one of the best I've used so far..The reason I say you needan amp is because I tuck this headset down to my friends studio were we plugged them into an amplifier and the sound was far better quality + they were 3x louder than on my pc via usb an everyone commented on how impressive the headphones are..I was going to send the headset back just because I want to listen to loud music and they sounded so good at the studio so I'm going to be buying the sound blaster usb amplifier from amazon to see how they work together just because I want that extra volume and the sound blaster can power high end studio headphones giving out upto 600 ohms witch should be more than enough.. :-)

These are effectively the DT 770 with a mic attached. The mic is phenomenal; the sound quality is better than everyone else I play with that uses a headset. The listening audio is top-notch, as well. The entire sound range is clear and the bass response is fantastic. With a $100+ sound card, you can get good sound out of them, but if you jack up the bass too much, it starts to drag down the rest. However, with a much better DAC/Amp, you can up the bass without it drowning out the mids and highs as much, but it still ends up happening. However, there's no real need to do anything with equalizers because the sound is pretty good as is.My only real complaint is that the sound stage isn't as large as I had hoped; many reviews said that it has a larger sound stage than almost every other closed-back headphones, and that's true... it's just not open enough for my tastes; it's too important in first-person shooters to have a large sound stage, so I'll soon be upgrading to the Beyerdynamic T1's. In gaming, the imaging is pretty spot on; I have no problems detecting direction, but it's just harder to detect distance. For most people, though, these are amazing for listening to all types of music, especially EDM and hip-hop, but more intricate music would do better to have something with more separation capabilities.

The mic quality was better than what I'm used to. But I couldn't really tell how good the audio is between headphones of a similar price range... But the ability to adjust the audio with sound profiles is an interesting addition. The extra utility usage of mic mute & audio control are also very nice to use in practice. The only real gripes are that the the little opening where the microphone cable plugs into the headphones can gradually grind down the cable plug. The little slot thing to the right of the microphone plug itself. Though, this was a result of heavy & constant gaming. Eventually, it'll make it able to shake around, and force you to self-position the microphone plug more forcefully to fix tiny problems like only one side of the headphone letting out audio. The USB cable for both microphone & audio usage plug also suffered from heavy gaming, the plug part of it has gotten somewhat loose and it can easily bend into not functioning if you press down against it. But again, these problems are only a result of some gaming abuse.Overall, it compares well with similarly priced headphones, take a grab if you're interested in something new. The comfort & extra utility choices helps it match up against competitors in price.

I don't even know where to begin.-I love the physical bass control on both sides. All the way turned up watching movies really reminds me of being in a movie theater the way these bump and they work great for music as well.-They're also great for video games. You can get them pretty loud for shooters and it gets pretty immersive.I had two pairs of Senheisers before these which both broke or had some kind of driver issue within the first year. So far I've had no issues with these whatsoever. I hear you can make the sound even better with an amp or a soundcard. All in all I love them and don't think you could go wrong buying a pair. If these go down I will be getting another pair.Alright,so it's been awhile. About a year and 3 months actually. This is the longest a headset has lasted me. If these go down I'll be getting another pair. The leathesque type ear foam they come with did wear down and I decided to replace them with the cloth option. I've used them for gaming, movies, music, and even with my phone while I mow the lawn. They are loud and bassy. Only thing I wish I could find would be an aux cable without the mic to fit them for when I'm using them during chores and what now. Beyerdynamics I salute you.

First off, I got this headset on sale for $139. At that price, I would dare say it is impossible to beat. It is definitely worth the price even at full price in my opinion.Pros:Sounds fantastic for both games and music.Detachable wire (read replaceable)Excellent sounding microphoneSturdy constructionCons:Only includes a wire with mic attached.I have owned many headsets in my life, from high priced gaming sets like Turtle Beach and Tritton, to "Audiophile" sets made by Bose, to cheap consumer stuff like HyperX from the gaming side and Skullcandy from the strictly music side. These are by far the best I have owned, period. I mean, literally my only complaint is that it doesn't come with a cable that doesn't have a mic built into it,and the only reason I even have this complain is because the included cable has such a premium quality to it that it makes all my AUX cable lying around the house feel like cheap pieces of Shih Tzu.I would 100% recommend these to anyone who wants a gaming headset without sacrificing sound quality and wants to be able to wear their headset for listening to music in public without being mistaken for a christmas tree or a decepticon.

I have used this headset for gaming on my PS4 for a couple months now and I must say that I am in love just as much today, as I was when I first received them. When I first got these, I had a difficult time because of the spatial awareness that I was not used to. Previously, I had a single-ear chat headset and all of my gaming audio came through my TV. These headphones have an amazing clarity when tuned using the in-game audio balancing and opening the vents on the headphones themselves. Once I became accustomed to all of this audible information that I wasn't used to hearing, my stats increased noticeably. I rated comfort at 4 stars , simply because the leatherette ear cushions get a little warm when wearing them for a while. It's such a small thing, and if I could have rated comfort at 4.5 stars, I would have. Apparently, the fabric ear cushions do a better job with the heat. This is a tremendous product and I highly recommend!

The insert designs that the headphones come with kinda suck. You can easily make custom ones though. The ear surrounds that they come with are just a hair to small for my ears. I found others online.Don't buy these without a dedicated soundcard or amp. Seriously- You are wasting your money on these if you are using onboard sound. The difference is night and day. With most onboard sound these will be muddy, low volume, and overall not sound like they are worth the money. Now if you have a way to push these headphones they are wonderful. Great isolation, bass, sound, comfort. Everything I need.4 stars since the caveat of me having to get new ear covers and had to make my own design insert was extra work/$ into the product. Also I think these are really not worth the money if you aren't driving them correctly. That being said- I absolutely love them now.

These are just fantastic. I use them for everything.. gaming, music, movies. It's all a joy. I wanted the detachable cable and mic for portability so I got these over the DT770s. Be aware, you can plug any 3.5 mm audio cable into the port, you don't need to attach the microphone if you only want to listen to audio output.Upgrading from a broken sony gold set, I used cloud IIs for a while but I wasn't pleased with the sound or comfort (the drivers were touching my ears). It took a few weeks before I even found these because almost no review sites mention them. I'm very glad I took the plunge on them. Now I just hope they survive my destructive habits, which reminds me,I've been storing them in the HyperX Cloud 2 hardshell case. It was about $15 and the custom game fits quite nice inside. Highly recommend

It’s a gaming headset, has enough boom to get you in the action without being too much, mic works great for team chatter, and it fits nice. Good construction, metal forks for the earcup feel durable. I’ve read the older were plastic.I’m not an audio expert but it’s great sound if you’re not looking for those subtle Hi-Fi distinctions. No amp, just directly into the PC. Bass booster on each ear cup. Decent change with the control, but not going to rattle your brain. Doesn’t replace a subwoofer which I find just fine for its use.Came from a wireless and I realize cable management is part of the package but a 3.5’ just isn’t enough. It lays across me From my left ear cup to my right to reach my tower.Wish there was enough length to wrap behind the desk to the tower.

This is a quality headset no doubt about it.I purchased them to play Fortnite in hopes of getting better pinpoint enemy location, and unfortunately they aren’t as well as my Razer Kraken Pro v2 in that aspect alone. For Call of Duty however they are like UAV for your ears I prefire corners constantly because I hear exactly where the footsteps are unless there are killstreaks going off all around.Very comfortable headset, amazing quality mic, the cardboard decal things are cheesy but look fine. Great for hours of gaming and very sturdy, ordering the velour ear pads from the Beyerdynamic site to replace the ear pads just out of preference but the standard pads are very cushioned.Love these and they are ideal for PS4 Pro without an amp

I bought a pair of these from a local store since I was tired of digital headsets that muddled the sound. A friend of mine highly recommended the beyerdynamic headsets so I ended up with buying a pair of these.Boy what a difference in sound compared to my older turtle beach elite 800 headset. Sound is crystal clear, bass is adjustable so you get just as much as you want and the mic is way better than most headsets. It works great both on my PC, on my phone and my amplifier. I have not needed an external amp for these regardless of source and they always sound great.Being closed cans they really isolate well. Can't hear the wife when she's standing right beside me,just pure musical/gaming bliss.Highly recommend!!

I got these on sale for 53% off, already being aware of Beyerdynamics prowess and excellent quality prior and wow, this headset is above and beyond expectations. Most comfortable and clear headset I've worn. Alot of gamers and other sound users know about Beyerdynamic, BUT they never came with a microphone. I used to get headaches from poor design and materials but not anymore. This microphone is very crisp my Discord friends say I sound much better compared to my G533s. 10/10 definitely worth the $325 price tag but I got a steal for sure at $161 with tax it was a no brainier. I don't really see any other headset touching it unless you're spending $500+

They sound great. I like the little adjustments that can be made to the bass response. Isolation is good. I can easily get into distraction free work with these. The mic is clear, though listeners say not as good as my Sennheiser Century 660 SC USB headset, but those are purpose built for voice applications. They are built very well. The materials feel good in hand. The pads could probably use an upgrade to give my ears more space, but they are comfortable to wear regardless. I like the removable cord. The short segment with a 3.5mm TRRS plug is very nice. A split 3.5mm TRS plug extension cord is included. No buyer remorse with this purchase.

Got these about 8 months ago and they are awesome! Just got Assassin's Creed Odyssey on sale and binged it for 14 straight hours and never got uncomfortable wearing them for a minute. Easy to use, reliable, sturdy. Worth the investment for sure. Did some research before buying and the people were right. Would buy again.Edit: It has been almost exactly one year since I first got these and the left cup cuts out audio unless the mic is sitting in a very specific position. I treat my things well as I like them to last so I while a year is not bad; for what these cost I was hoping to get 2+ out of them.
