These are quite expensive but they are well made. I would guess they would be adequate for a family of four. I can steam 6 different vegetables plus potatoes in the bottom for two people. Saves on gas because you only use one ring. The handles don't get too hot, much better than metal handles. Happy to recommend.

This is a very well made product at a sensible price. It is so much better than our previous cheap one which leaked steam everywhere when cooking and held water in gaps in the handles once washed, which subsequently dropped out all over the place.
