Cute play set featuring barbie, one dog and a puppy (not 4 as suggested by the image), a skateboard the dog can "ride" (and a sidecar type board for the puppy), and a traditional bicycle (the sit upright kind of old fashioned bike currently enjoying a resurge in popularity). Very nice set, though the bike seems not quite right as these almost always are seen with a basket on the front at the very least! I think it would've been cuter had they put one on the bike so the pup could ride in the basket, to be honest as the skate board riding dog is not something most kids would see themselves doing realistically and many like to have Barbie do things they could do. Barbie has a bike helmet, which I thought was a nice touch, reinforcing bike safety, and the bike itself is actually sturdy and not a flimsy prop, so should provide many, many hours of playtime. Barbie's top is removable so that can be changed, but mattel was a bit shortsighted otherwise- her legs are jointed moulded plastic so her legs can be posed, but they made the legs and feet into jeans and boots, so no matter what she is changed into, she's going to be wearing those beneath. I think a better option would have been to give her flesh coloured legs with pretty sneakers or left the DM style boots (hey, style statement, they can be worn with a frilly dress!) and fabric jeans so her wardrobe options would be much more diverse.Barbie's hair is long and straight, reminding me of the old 70's Malibu barbie hair style my own doll from 1972 had.Likewise her make up is more restrained and she looks more like the fresh faced teen of old. As a bonus the set isn't over the top pink all over which is pretty nice. My daughter commented that the bike colour is one of the current popular colours for these style of bikes in real life (she herself asked for and got a powder blue one for her birthday this summer, so I'll take her word for it as she shopped around to find just the one she wanted) but she did think it would have been even nicer if the pink on the bike could have been restrained just to a barbie logo on the bike body (she suggested by the rear wheel on the wide bit of the frame there)and if they'd put on a basket, maybe another logo on the basket and pink handlebars. She says her thoughts on this is because Barbie is a teen and so would ride a woman's bike, and the hot pink wheels look more at home on a kid's bike.Apparently this is based off of a Barbie DVD coming out in October, but I think children will enjoy this even without having seen the movie. It's also a great price for what it is and would make a lovely birthday or Christmas gift for Barbies fans over the age of 6 (the manufacturer's recommended minimum age).

This Barbie comes with a nice bicycle which is has a light blue frame and Barbie pink wheels. To be honest I like the fact that it isn’t all glaring pink. When I first saw the bicycle in the box I was a little afraid that the bicycle might be brittle but it does seem quite a solid item. Of course, it can still be broken or damaged if it treated too roughly but it should survive a good deal of wear and tear.Along with the bicycle are 2 interconnected skateboards. The large one for the adult Labrador dog and the smaller one for the cream coloured pup.It is quite hypnotic watching the bike being pushed along and the little skateboard rolling round the bigger one at its side. This has been greeted with a lot of giggles, laughs and has been played with all day.Barbie is lovely - she has a removable top but her trousers and boots are part of the moulding. This means that, though she can change her outfit and put on a dress, she will still have her blue trousers on and those heavy boots. We have discussed this and decided that the Barbie town vet would rarely be seen in high heels and a ball gown – which seems to have solved this minor clothing issue.I have noticed that this moulding of clothes on the dolls rather than being able to dress them is becoming more frequent.I believe that Mattel is being short sighted with these moulded outfits as one of the biggest play aspects of a doll is being able to change its outfits and make it into what you want. When the doll has moulded clothes – especially clothes when they cannot be covered by other outfits - then the doll has only one use and will eventually be surpassed by others who have more playability.Regardless of this moulding this is still a lovely doll, with the cutest dogs and a great interactive bicycle.

There is a video review attached to this written review and to view it you will either need to view via a desktop computer or have your phone/tablet in desktop mode. There is also a slideshow with photo's at the end of the video should anyone wish to just look at the photo's rather than view the video. This play set is from the new Barbie film that is due out later this year called Barbie & Her Sisters in The Great Puppy Adventure which sees Barbie and her sisters on the hunt for treasure when they find an old map in their family home and joined by their new puppy pals.Barbie clips onto the bike around her waist, on her feet and hands and when your little one pushes the bike forward this make Barbie really look like she is pedaling the bike forward. The two little puppies that come with the bike are each on their own skateboard and attach to each other and the bike. The bigger puppy's skateboard goes alongside the bike with Barbie on and the smallest puppy's skateboard whizzes around the larger ones in a circular motion.Barbie comes with a helmet and her boots and flowery top can be swapped over with other clothes if your child has them but her jeans are painted on. As usual Barbies, head and arms move at the shoulders and Barbie's hips and knees bend and so she is able to be posed in a seated position if required and the only downside is that her jeans can't be swapped over so her wardrobe cannot be completely changed. This is a novel and cute toy and is sure to be a hit with any Barbie fan or fan of the new movie. The attached video shows how Barbie pedals and how the dogs move on the skateboards.

This toy is based on the Barbie movie, “Barbie and her Sisters in the Great Puppy Adventure” (DVD out in October 2015). The movie features Barbie, Skipper, Stacie and Chelsea in an adventure when they find a map in their Grandma’s attic and embark on a treasure hunt.Dressed in a flowery top, jeans (which are painted on, although you can remove her top and boots), boots and a cycling helmet, Barbie is ready to go on an adventure. She clips securely onto the bicycle around her waist and her feet sit on the pedals without slipping. You can attach the skateboards so the larger dog is alongside Barbie, while the little puppy’s skateboard whizzes around the main skateboard when the bike is pushed. The skateboards have the additional purpose of stabilising the bike,so it stands alone. When you push the bike, Barbie appears to pedal and the smaller skateboard circles the larger one. Of course, you can just have Barbie on the bicycle by herself, although this does not stand unaided. However, this set is great fun for Barbie fans and my daughter really enjoys playing with it. Although you cannot remove her jeans, they are only painted on and so you can still dress this Barbie in different outfits if you wish – although obviously you need trousers or a long dress to hide the blue of the jeans.Other sets from this movie are also available, including a Chelsea doll with a tricycle and puppy, a gift-set of Barbie with Skipper and Stacie (minus Chelsea or puppies) and individual Barbie, Skipper and Stacie dolls with a puppy each.

This is a Barbie doll on a bicycle and I have to say I think it is delightful. Barbie sits on the saddle supported by a stand and clips into the pedals. As you push the bike forwards she pedals it, which is really nice. The whole thing is pretty stable and works well. The bike is a dutch style sit up and beg type beloved of Mums in the UK. Barbie's legs and arms are more articulated than a standard Barbie to facilitate the movement. As such she permanently wears her blue jeans, which have molded seams and patch pockets. The tops can be changed and her helmet is removable too. If there is one criticism I wonder if they should have fitted a basket to the front of the bike or supplied some panniers for the stand for them on the back.I think having something to put shopping and the like would have made the set more fun for my daughters.Barbie comes with a dog and puppy, which my 9 year old thinks is cute. Although it looks like there might be 4 in the pack there is actually 1. The dog on the skateboard can be fitted to the bike via a clear plastic attachment. the puppy's board fits to the skateboard via its own plastic attachment, as you push the big dog's skateboard forward the puppy rotates around it, which is a nice effect. Alternatively you can remove, dogs and skateboards and play with them all separately. This is a nicely thought through and designed set, which should give hours of fun. I think it is great to normalize cycling among the young in this way. All in all I think it is delightful.

A well made doo with summer t-shirt that is removable but her legs are solid blue plastic to represent jeans which seems to be a theme of the more modern dolls It's a shame because my grandchildren love playing dress up with Barbie and can only hide her legs with long dresses Only the legs on this doll are jointed, the arms are stiff and only move from the shoulder and the doll can't stand alone because her legs are so mobile they just flop about. she has black boots that fit into the peddles of her bike, which are removable and a removable pink helmet. The bike is brilliant, its really well made with moving handlebars, peddles and wheels that work together like a real bike (well almost!)The seat has a bracket that goes around Barbie's waist to hold her onto the bike and there is bag rack that can hold the puppy on its skateboard. The dog is on a skateboard with moving wheels but the wheels on the puppy's skateboard don't work. The advertising photo shows several puppies but only one is included in the pack. There is a clear plastic bar that attaches the dog's skateboard to the bike and the puppy so all three can be moved together. The puppy and dog can be removed from the skateboard to be played with separately. All in all a well made product that will make an ideal Xmas or birthday gift.

The 'Barbie Her Sisters in The Great Puppy Puppy Adventure Spin n Ride Pups' (flipping heck that's a mouthful!) set is great value, and brought much delight to my little four year old friend. The set comprises a non-standard Barbie doll - its legs differ from the norm, being articulated to fit on the bike pedals, which is great in that you can push the bicycle and the doll's legs actually move, although a negative is that her clothing cannot be changed apart from her top. The bike is pretty, and well constructed, and the set also comprises a dog on a skateboard and a puppy on a skateboard (one, not four, the photograph shows it in motion, rather misleadingly). When linked together, pushing the doll moves the big dog's skateboard, and the puppy orbits around that, which is apparently magical to little girls! The set is apparently a tie in for a straight to DVD Barbie movie, so prepare yourself to be asked to buy it too if you get this set! It's the nicest Barbie set I've seen for a long time, and I'm really pleased to be able to give my little friend something which isn't about princesses and the like. Highly recommended.

Barbie doll seems to have a new outfit and accessories for every occasion. Today we have Barbie in a striped and floral tunic over blue plastic pants and boots. And, she is riding on her bicycle with her two dogs on skateboards attached to the bicycle. What more could you want? For one thing I was very disappointed that the CD was not part of this package. Previous CD's came with Barbie, so this was a real disappointment. In order to proceed on her bicycle, a child or adult must put her feet into the leg clips and her hands on the handle bars. Then she and the bicycle are all set to move. The two pets, included, are the mommy dog standing on all fours, while the puppy is in a spin-ready crouch.Their skate boards attach to the bicycle. This is a little ridiculous in the real world, but we are in Barbie's world, and when my granddaughter came to visit, she thought this entire set-up was fantastic. She has started riding her own bicycle, so this fit into her life very well. When she visits she goes straight to Barbie and her bicycle.Recommended. prisrob 05-05-16

The Barbie Her Sisters in The Great Puppy Adventure Spin-n-Ride Pups arrives in a nice presentation box with an open front where the Barbie doll, bicycle, puppies and skateboards are visible. The presentation box is nicely set up and is bound to appeal to young girls. I note that the box states minimum age of 3+ years. Our recently turned 5 year old grand-daughter, likes Barbie doll. This Barbie with the bicycle which Barbie rides, with her bicycle helmet, and the attached puppies on their skateboards is lots of fun. The blue jeans or leg in of this Barbie are fixed but the upper half of Barbie can be changed. The Barbie is made for riding the bicycle and her feet go round with the motion of the bicycle whilst the puppies are attached. The action and concept to enable Barbie to cycle is straight-forward and the puppies move in tandem whilst the bicycle is pushed along. On wood flooring the cycle is fine and short pile carpet will not present issues. In summary if you are thinking of getting this Barbie toy for a young girl, it cannot fail to impress.

This has been a huge hit with my daughters who love the barbie but also the pets. Which I am reliably informed are 'cute'. The barbie sits on the bike and 'pedals' but in my house she spends much of her time conversing with other barbies before heading off to the 'shops' or 'school'. The pets sit on the skate boards but I struggle with the concept of this as they have legs to walk with (yes, yes humans do too). The barbie has a helmet which can be removed as well as boots. You can also change her top. The bike isn't great quality and I don't think the pets are either. The barbie is a little better but you are still paying £20 (at the time of review - September 2015) and it has an RRP of £25.In terms of value, yes you get pets and a doll and a bike so its not too bad value wise, just don't expect the greatest quality. But as a toy this definitely seems to pass the test in terms of appeal. my daughters love it. So much so I may have to get another to prevent another disagreement.

The Barbie Spin 'N' Ride Pups playset consists of a Barbie with two dogs - a mummy dog and her puppy - a bicycle and two skateboards and is a spinoff (no pun intended!) from the Barbie and her Sisters in the Great Puppy Adventure movie which is due out later this year. When the bike is pushed forward Barbie looks like she is really pedalling and the dogs move with her on their skateboards. Barbie is dressed in a flowery top and bright pink helmet and while they can be removed the jeans and boots are moulded which limits the outfit changes that this particular Barbie can undergo – something which frustrated my grand-daughter initially. Having said that the set has been providing both her and my niece with many hours of imaginative play.Suitable for children aged 3+ this Barbie playset is well made and can also help as a tool to reinforce the safety need to wear a helmet when cycling.

This was gift to my young niece and she really loved it. You can't fail to be charmed by Barbie's bike and cute doggy pals. What's best of all is that the bike isn't just an accessory but Barbie will actually pedal the bike as she's pushed along, plus the dog skateboards along and the wee puppies circle her.Barbie comes quite articulated so she can be moved and posed, but can't really stand as not articulated versions could. The clothes and accessories are fantastic and look really good. In fact the quality of the build is fantastic with great colours and painted details. Everything is affixed together relatively easily and has already given hours of enjoyment to my niece.Best of all it has made her want to get a bike of her own one day.For the price this is certainly good value for me as the quality of Barbie and all that comes with it is very high.

I haven't owned a Barbie for about 30 years so it's nice to see they haven't changed all that much. This one is a more modern twist on 1980's Barbie: she's a trendy cyclist with her dogs skating alongside her. The puppy spins round the mother dog as Barbie cycles, and Barbies legs move with the pedals too which is another improvement over the 1980's equivalent. Back in my day you had to imagine the dogs skating and Barbies legs moving, these days it actually happens.Barbie herself is the same as she always was, a cute, skinny girl with perfect hair and facial features. The build quality is about the same too but the accessories are better and more sophisticated now, which is what girls these days expect.I really liked this toy and for a brief few moments I feel 30 years younger when I pick her up. 5 stars

Barbie on a bike with two puppies and skateboards....What is not for a 5 year old Great niece not to love?...Especially when that Great Niece loves cycling! This is a great idea to pop Barbie on a bike and have a couple of puppies in the action too (not to mention skateboards!)The bike itself seems to be pretty well made and comes in a lovely blue with red wheels and seat.Barbie herself (as another reviewer has pointed out) has a removable top but the jeans and boots are part of the moulding and cant be removed.Barbie has pivoting knees etc.so when the bike is pushed along she appears to be pedalling along withe the connected skateboards and puppies alongside! With Christmas coming along soon,I suspect that this will be a Barbie collectors 'Must Have'And for under £19 its also an absolute bargain!

This is probably the best and most appealing Barbie we've had....much less garish pink and plasticness. I love the presentation in a clear type box, with a much easier to open style. My 7 year old managed to unpack and set this up herself with no help from me!Barbie is a cyclist, with jointed legs which smoothly go round on the pedals of her bike. The bike is designed to work like a real bike, and uses a chain and full steering handlebars. In addition, you can attach the skateboarding dog and circulating puppy for fun, by we enjoyed using the bike independently.A really fun set, including bike, skateboard thingy, dog, pup and Barbie herself. Brilliant.
