I don’t feel it’s appropriate for me to review this personally, so I asked my wife for her thoughts. BTW this review applies to the “Blonde” version, which my wife thought was very good value at £14; the “Brunette” version is much more expensive at nearly £38.“This is a lovely Barbie doll with a beautiful face and hair. The clothes are included as well as a pair of vertiginous heels, a tiara and the all-important magical hair brush.When you use the brush on her long blonde hair you activate the sound and light display, or you could simply just press the star shape above her right breast if you cannot find the brush (this button really could have been better placed).

Say what you will about Barbie dolls, there's no denying that the overall quality and presentation is always top notch. My daughter enjoys playing with these dolls and having used this with her, the fantasy brush barbie is a really good toy and definitely recommended.There's a button on the front of her dress that lights up with different colours and plays a little chime and each of Barbie's limbs are flexible enough that you can move her into different positions without it being too loose that she's unstable. The little brush that comes with this is probably the biggest take-away from this and if your kids (like mine)

I was asked if I’d like to review the Barbie FRB12 Fantasy Brush and Sparkle Princess Lights and Sounds, Long Blonde Hair, Gifts for 2 to 5 Years Children Dolls, and I said yes.I knew my girls would love this version of Barbie, as they are huge Barbie fans.On the front of the box, it does say for 3+, this is due to the tiny shoes that Barbie has as part of her lovely colourful gown.This is the new Barbie Dreamtopia Rainbow Cove. When you touch the pink star on the gown bodice, it lights up and a lovely little tune is played. Brush her long hair and you get even more tunes playing.In total, there are four different light and sound shows. One of them even plays the Barbie Dreamtopia theme song.My girls love playing with her,

This is a lovely collection to the Barbie Dreamtopia range. Suitable for ages 3+ the only accessories she came with was a pair of purple shoes and a brush. The brush is very important as, when you brush Barbie’s hair, her torso lights up. There are various sounds, including a snippet of the Dreamtopia theme song. There is also a button at the front, which activates the sounds and lights. This is probably essential, as the brush will get lost and that could end in tears, so it is useful that there is another way to activate the doll.I think this is a pretty doll, with a beautifully coloured, rainbow skirt. My Barbie mad daughter loves this doll. She has quite a few different style Barbie dolls but this has remained one of her favourite dolls.The doll has a lovely face with long blonde hair (very Rapunzel-like). Her dress/skirt is rainbow coloured and again very pretty. She has a tiara and comes with a magical brush which activates the lights and music. My daughter loves to brush her hair and is currently brushing up on her plait making skills.The doll is excellent quality, very well made. The only disappointment for my daughter is that she is less bendable than a lot of the other dolls. Her arms and legs don’t bend in the middle and so movement with this doll is more difficult.This is currently £17.60 when reviewing on Amazon and is a total bargain.

In many respects it's what I've always wanted - when you brush a girl's hair, for music to suddenly play rather than a chorus of shrieks and yells of 'you're doing it too rough'. That's exactly what this Barbie does - when your brush her hair with the special brush included, a variety of sounds and sparkly tunes are emitted. Alternatively you can press the stars on her chest. The figure's hair is extra long and her flowing dress is brighter than a thousand suns. As it's Barbie, you know the quality of build and design will be high an there is an artist's eye for detail with a view of charming every child who sees it. Our home has many Dreamtopia princess dolls and this brush and sparkle doll is the crown gem! I have included a video of the 4 lights and sounds as they appear in the dark. Not the best quality but at least you will see what you're getting!The doll is very pretty and her dress features all the colours of the rainbow complete with flashy stars. Very fun and will provide hours and hours of play and whimsy!Note, this doll has been out for a few years so if you get her, do yourself a favour and pick up a pack of 3 AG13 button cell batteries so your princess will have a fresh and magical start to her life in your home! The lights are very colorful and she does indeed sing a snippet from the Dreamtopia theme song.

As with all Barbies they always seem to get it right as they create more themes and styles to buy. Barbie is a big business. This princess is very pretty and has really long hair (we got the blonde version). She can't stand on her own so needs some support. She has a lovely full skirt and purple shoes. You press the star button on her chest and her torso lights up and music sounds. When you brush her hair, with the brush provided, more tunes can be heard. The cell batteries are already installed. She looks good in her packaging, too and the two girls couldn't wait to play with her. They are maybe in their final year for doll playing, but they play so well together and have always been Barbie fans.

Barbie Dreamtopia was an instant hit with Livvy, five.Luckily batteries are included so she was instantly able to make the special sparkle top light up and play music - this can be tried out before purchase, there is a hole cut in the packaging to press a star and start the colourful flashing.Brushing the doll's beautiful long blonde hair also starts the lights. The long hair was Livvy's favourite activity with the doll.There is a pair of mauve heels for Barbie to wear - but she doesn't stand on her own.For some children the flashing could be too much. I think the price is a little steep as the skirt is just a basic gathered one.But for little girls this is a dreamy,

My 3 year old grand-daughter is going to love this one to add to her collection of Barbie dolls. This one lights up when you brush her lovely long hair with the brush supplied. The batteries (3 x AG13 button batteries) are supplied so she will be able to play with it straight away, and indeed there's a hole cut in the presentation box so that you can try out pressing the pink star and seeing her bodice light up. Apparently there are 4 different light patterns and sounds. The Barbie doll stands 12" tall, the same size as most of the others, so she will be able to play with them all together. She also comes with a pair of purple high-heeled shoes.

I will confess I have never had a Barbie of my own (nor a Ken come to that) but this is ideal for my granddaughter not least because we have a heck of a task to get her to brush her OWN hair or even to have it brushed by anyone other than my wife (her Nanny)...so making brushing hair so much fun, in this truly 'animated' way is an ideal 'encourager' from my point of view.The extra features of lights and sound (I hope) will prove a great attraction I am sure and, as with all Barbie dolls she will also be able to play at other tasks (like tea parties which is one of my granddaughter's favourites).She will be four very soon so this is an ideal doll/toy for her.

My three year old granddaughter loves Barbie and she was completely enthralled by the Barbie Fantasy Brush and Sparkle Princess.This is a beautiful, long-haired doll is dressed in a multi-coloured gown, with purple high-heeled shoes and a pink tiara. The bodice has a pattern of cut-outs and, when the hair is combed with the special magnetic brush, emits one of four light patterns and sounds. The lights and sounds can also be triggered by pressing a small star-shaped button on the bodice.My only issue is that it is packed in a clear plastic bubble, great for display, but not for those with little fingers who like to unwrap their own presents.

This is a very pretty Barbie from the Dreamtopia range. She comes with a hairbrush that activates the lights on her chest but there is also a small star button on her chest that can be pressed to activate the lights and sounds too.Barbie has a pink tiara and also purple shoes that can be removed. Her skirt has rainbow colours and stars on it and this can also be removed however her bodice can not.Barbie's hair is super soft and very long (we have the blonde version) and the lights and sounds effect is fun.

This is an attractive looking Barbie doll which little girls will love. Complete with extra long hair for brushing - brush included and light up dress and sounds. Brushing her hair causes further light and music.The button to trigger the light on her dress is in a rather strange location on the right side of her chest!Her skirt is removable, but this is not the best doll if you simply want to change outfits and play dress up

Despite the modern trend to make toys 'gender neutral', it seems that small girls still love to play with dolls, at least in my family. And this one can not only be dressed up from the full range of Barbie accessories, it also has hair that can be brushed, and to some degree, styled. As well as that, a variety of light and sound features add even more to the play potential.
