This unicorn arrives in quite a large box and is well tagged into it so you will need to have some scissors handy when you open it - especially if you have an impatient child desperate to get playing like we did!The unicorn is of a decent size. which means that children can easily use it with their Barbie dolls (or any of a similar size), though you will need to hold them onto the horse. It is well designed to appeal to children with lots of colour and a glittery sheen to the body. The stars and comet tails light up and make sounds in one of two ways. You can press the button on the body of the horse or you can brush the mane (although this doesn't always result in the lights and sound turning on).

If you have a young child who likes Unicorns then this will be a delight.My five year old granddaughter was “blown away”. Lots of happy squeals and it is clear she is delighted.This is quite large and impressive to look at. The Unicorn has a beautiful long pink mane and tail. There is a hairbrush and when it’s mane is brush it will burst into a happy magical sound.The Unicorn has coloured star shapes that flash with lights and lots of tinking/magical sounds.It was all a bit loud for me and might be too loud if a child is noise adverse.Otherwise everyone else just enjoyed it.The unicorn has turquoise hooves and a beautiful silvery body.There will need to be an adult ready to cut off the many plastic ties that hold the mane and tail to the packaging.

I'm not going to lie my Daughter actually squealed and her face lit up when she opened the box to reveal the Unicorn as alike a lot of little girls her age she is Unicorn and Mermaid mad at the moment.The Unicorn or now named Princess Unicorn is currently residing in power over all the other dolls, mermaids and princesses in the My Little Pony castle in my Daughters room and yes my Daughter is what would be considered as a huge girly girl and despite me being more of a tomboy growing up I love all the pink and madness as it makes her happy.I'm pretty sure this Unicorn will be on a lot of Christmas lists and so is it value for money?

Review by my daughter aged 8I love this unicorn because when you brush its hair it lights up. It is really pretty and colourful and it's really big too, I love to brush its hair. I love how it lights up and looks so pretty and how the horn lights up too. It is so much fun to play with.My review:Ok, I would give this three stars but my daughter does love it. The unicorn is a great size and the lights are pretty. The not so good is that the unicorn does not have an off button, it also doesn't have volume controls, it is either loud or loud. My daughter was keen to put her Barbie on the unicorn to ride it but the ones we have don't fit at all. The unicorn makes lots of noise when the mane is being brushed,

Basically this is a toy that if I had bought myself I would be disappointed at the cost to play value ratio, but if gifted it’s cute and children love it.I loved the Barbie Unicorn I had when I was little, she was purple with pink, lilac and silver hair and even if my dolls couldn’t quite sit on it properly but it was wonderful so I get the appeal of a unicorn for your dolls. You really need a very articulated doll (your basic 5 point dolly will not do) but they don’t sit ‘nicely’ for long but then playing you can pop a hand on them.The thing that’s a bit annoying is the light and sounds - basically it sounds like a cheap magic wand you get at the poundshop for dress up or hen nights that goes spooooriiiinggg!!!

This is a pretty unicorn, which comes with a brush, so you can groom her mane and tail. She looks very pretty and has the added attraction of lighting up, while playing sounds. This can be activated while brushing her mane or pushing a button on her side.This has a lot of play value for use with Barbie dolls – although, at present, she is being ridden by far too many Disney Princesses. The novelty value of the lights and sounds is minimal, and the noise will become irritating, but my niece loves her. She is very pretty and has good scope for pretend play, beyond the lights and music.

Visually, this Barbie accessory is likely to excite any young girl. The five year old who received it thought it was wonderful and I expect she'd give it five stars without a second thought. My concern is that the play value is pretty limited. For the price, I would have expected a lot more functionality. All you have are the flashing lights and sounds. It does look striking, though, and will undoubtedly be a lovely and cherished decorative accessory in a girl's bedroom. It's just a shame it doesn't do a little more.

There’s not much not to like about this- a lovely, sweet barbie unicorn which ticks all the unicorn boxes- sparkle, glitzy and has a brush to make sure the mane continues to shine! Lights up with sounds also. Little girls will adore this and it’s not just for Barbie fans- the true unicorn fan will love this! My only gripe? It’s quite pricey for a gift when it doesn’t include a doll. I was lucky enough to receive to review, but if purchasing as a gift, it’s just shy of thirty pounds- not a small amount ?

Our youngest (5) is Barbie obsessed and unicorn obsessed, so this product is ideal for her. She absolutely loves it and started playing with it instantly. It works well with all the Barbies that she has, especially the rainbow/Dreamtopia ones. It was bigger than I had imagined it would be, but that goes some way to justifying the cost as it's not cheap. It does have a few fun features, too, like sound effects. It's getting a lot of use already. Would recommend to anyone with a Barbie fan to buy for.

A quite expensive toy that grandparents will no doubt spoil their grandchildren with and children will be delighted to own? Quite tall and made of hard plastic with lights and sound that will keep small ones entertained. It is worth noting the visuals are all on one side of the horse and there are several choking parts so supervision necessary. There isn’t an off switch and no way to turn the sound down and can get quite annoying after a while.still it keeps the kids quiet for a bit if not the toy.

Barbie dreamtopia brush and sparkle unicorn is a lovely addition to any little one's Barbie collection. It has everything our daughter loves: lights, sounds, a beautifully bright mane to brush and the fact that it is a unicorn has thrilled her to bits. She loves to brush the mane and listen to the magical sounds.It goes with all of her Barbie figures and she loves putting all the accessories together to create her own little world.

Geat value for money my little one love it she pops her barbies on it, it makes sounds an has good lighting ,lights up the room in the dark when she pushes the button .Only one suggestion it would be nice for a swich to mute for the sound and just use lights as sound can get a little annoying for others in the house, but she loves it nice solid toy .

My daughter likes all things unicorn and this did not disappoint. The sounds and colours are marvellous and she has really enjoyed playing with it. the only 'negative' is that it's not poseable and ultimately ends up as a static decorative item rather than the interactive toy it could have been

My daughter is horse and barbie obsessed! She loves this light up dreamtopia horse with a passion she’s spent hours doing its hair and loves the bright lights. It’s very static in my opinion but that’s common with barbie products and also means that the dolls look funny riding it.

Bright and sturdy this is a lovely product. It has a limited repertoire of flashing lights and one noise so our son and daughter-in-law are praying to the battery god that the 3 AAA batteries do not go on much longer but that said our grand-daughter loves it.
