Well designed doll, built to the usual quality standards one expects from Matell.Comes with a helmet that's nice and sturdy and looks pretty authentic. The footwear is also nicely constructed and looks pretty authentic as well.You can play with the doll in its uniform it's not too tight a fit that it prevents you from posing it or moving the head and limbs.This ought to be a given but I have actually come across instances where some dolls have supposed to being movable dolls but the so-called authentic clothes manufacturers put them in restricted the movement of the doll so much children could not actually play with it properly unless they took the clothes off!One small criticism I don't think

Barbie FXP05 Ken Firefighter Doll in Career-Themed OutfitBarbie Ken is a rather proud looking Firefighter. He has jet black hair which is short and closely shaven either side, his eyes are also dark, he has a huge smile across his face.The build quality of this Barbie doll is up to the usual high standard of Barbie dolls. Ken has all of the normal moving head and limbs that you would expect with Barbie dolls.I also received the blond Barbie career doll, she is also a Firefighter. Both Barbie dolls compliment each other nicely.Barbie Ken looks good in his yellow Firefighter outfit. This outfit is well made with scorch marks printed on his uniform,

The little ones loved ken. Have to say they didn’t play with him as much as Barbie. After all they couldn’t get barbie clothing on him! But he got striped of his fireman’s outfit.Barbie and Ken career dolls inspire kids to dream big and aim high. Ken doll can go for his goals wearing a career-themed outfit along with accessories to play out professional moments. There are so many careers to explore. Each wears an outfit for a day on the job that stands out with realistic elements and signature touches. And each comes with workday accessories that spark imaginations and role-play action. Different skin tones and eye colours provide endless storytelling possibilities and create aspirational fun.

Ken, the fireman, wears a rather yellow fireman’s suit, complete with printed accessories including a badge and walkie-talkie. It is shame that the pockets do not open and the accessories are printed rather than removable. The suit top is closed and opened with Velcro and the pants are easily slipped off. The boots are removable: there is great detailing on the boots and these come with non slip soles and the name, Ken, inscribed on the treads. There are no other accessories other than Ken’s plastic and ribbed yellow hat.Ken has a head that turns, articulated shoulder joints and hips and well developed biceps and abs! Footballer Ken comes with a blue shirt, black shorts, socks, football boots and a football.This was a surprise hit with my Four year old nephew! He really loved that he could dress/undress Ken, unlike his “action figures”.In fact, he was so thrilled with Ken, that besides trying to initiate a game of Ken football with the dog, he must have spent a solid hour playing with the doll. He was truly fascinated by it and has already put in a request to get him some more clothes.I really liked that the Ken dolls are challenging the gender stereotype that dolls are for girls. All children need toys that help stretch their imagination, and dolls are a great way of doing this.

Ken and Barbie dolls go back years and have been popular dolls throughout a couple of generations. This particular range of dolls namely 'Barbie and Ken Career dolls' come in various guises. This Ken doll is dressed like a footballer and even comes with his own football. Attention to detail is good and he comes dressed in a blue football shirt, back shorts with blue piping, black knee high socks and blue football shoes.The doll is well made and is one of the cheaper ranges costing slightly under a tenner, as such he has plastic formed hair and only articulates at the shoulders, neck and hips. This didn't however bother my granddaughter who is obsessed with anything Barbie related.

My daughters are real barbies fans and have many barbies and accessories but we did noticed they have not got that many Ken’s so when this came up we jumped at the chance.Ken Footballer Doll in Career-Themed Outfit, priced at £11.99 which is not a bad price at all.I love the fact that barbie have actually bought out career themed dolls as it’s a learning experience along side a play theme.The amount of detail that has gone into ken and his accessories are so realistic, it comes complete in a football outfit including football socks, football boots and a football.Had to explain that soccer is another term for football to my daughter.We have had many hours of fun with Ken and have added a few

This Ken doll portrays him as a professional footballer, complete with a fancy new facial look and hairstyle. He even comes with a proportionately-sized football, which Barbie can also play with herself.Im not sure whether a professional footballer is the best role model for Barbie to look for in a partner (too high aspirations?). Although there are other Ken dolls as firefighters or baristas, it would be good to see other "normal" professions featured, such as; "bin man Ken", "factory worker Ken" or "shop assistant Ken", however at least there's now a little more variety than the previous options.The warning on the back did make us chuckle; "WARNING: Small parts. Small balls".

Ken's looking good. Out is the mean brooding demeanor of the "Kens" of old. In is the cool "look at me aren't I cool" more modern man look of today. Perhaps with a bit of "mind my hair" thrown in. The main problem with this Ken is that he's wearing what looks like a Man City kit......(shivers down spine). If there's a Spurs Ken anywhere out there I'm sure he's much cooler ......and probably still brooding. Anyway our niece doesn't really care anything about those caveman tribal conflicts, she just wants a boyfriend for her Barbie dolls. Yes dolls not doll...... all four of the beauties. A great addition to any doll collection. We finally have a male barbie! And I'm glad he isn't the traditional Ken. I'm so happy there are a variety of barbies now and it's great to teach my nieces and nephews how we are all different and come in different shapes and sizes.This doll is good value for what it's being sold for. He's a hunky Ken and a firefighter to top it off, and I think a great role model to teach kids! I'm so happy they've done a firefighter as these are real heroes and it's lovely to watch kids play this out with their imagination. This in combination with our fashionista barbies, we've got a great mix of real life little stories that aren't the traditional "Ken and Barbie" story.

Rather 90s looking Ken who to be honest doesnt have the physique of a professional footballer. But my young tester didnt seem to mind and Ken joined us on a week s holiday and accompanied us everywhere to a running commentary. The ball is small enough to be a worry with younger toddlers so that was quietly retired on day 1. I was pleasantly amused bu the children creating outlandish poses for Ken and happy to find him each morning in the kitchen performing acrobatics around the worktop.7yo was heard to say that he would be better with real hair "this is just plastic" but it didnt seem to affect his popularity.Ken unilaterally decided to stay on holiday at teh end of the week,

Barbie and Ken have certainly come a long way over the decades. This version of Ken is very much up to date, both in fashionable looks and in diversity. He is offered in four versions: Footballer, Firefighter, Lifeguard and even a Barista with a man bun..! The footballer, which I have, is very nicely made - strong and sturdy, and looking like a fit footballer. He is wearing team kit and comes with a ball and definitely will appeal to both boys and girls for fun and imaginative play. All my grandkids love playing games with him, along with their other toys, including a couple of different Barbies. This is a very impressive range of dolls and they are great value for money..

My daughter is a huge barbie fan and has recently noticed that she needs some boys to play her pretend games. (since going to school she is much more aware that there are boys in the world too - and that some of them are even nice)This is a similar size to her other barbie dolls. She was a bit disappointed that she couldn't brush the boy's hair (it's hard plastic rather than hair) and she said he didn't look happy because all her girls are smiling and he wasn't!Bit odd that he's not smiling I guess. Anyhow - a good doll to add to her collection and she loves that her 'Kristoph' now has a friend!

Being an equalist I was really please to see a Ken doll in the Barbie collections (and it looks like there are quite a few varieties of Ken's). Built in exactly the same way as you'd expect with a traditional barbie doll- moving limbs, clothes that can come off and be changed, and some little accessories (football) to go with it. Great that this can be used by boy or girl and have great fun with it. Comes in a nice presentation packet so makes a really great gift. Is standard price for a branded barbie doll so would say good value for money. Definitely something I'd recommend.

As ever, the quality of build is top-notch, with clear features and a sense of belonging to the character-set he joins.The uniform clothes and boots fit the figure very well, but it can be very difficult to get the jacket on, due to the lack of articulation in his (very long) arms. A lot of the time I have to help my child to do this, which is hardly ideal and limits his enjoyment. It's still a good toy though, and a nice addition to the Barbie world for adventure and stories which are as imaginative as your child is.
