This is 60th Anniversary Barbie career doll edition. It is very well built as you expect from well known brand which has dominated the market for 60 years. It's every girl's best friend as it feeds their imagination and dreams. What I like the most about this barbie is that it's not typical blonde hair (No offense intended) but world is more colourful and vibrant therefore we need to have variety of different colours and races included. We want our children to appreciate multi cultural diversified communities we live in and share social lives with.Also having a doll who is not just an object of beauty, waiting for prince charming to turn up for happy life.

These have changed from when I was growing up! My older sister had all sorts of Barbie dolls and I loved playing with the houses and cars with my Action Man figures when she wasn’t home.It’s nice to see how Barbie has got with the times and isn’t just blonde with skimpy outfits anymore.This doll is great and my daughter loves playing with it.My only slight issues are that her legs don’t move. Considering she’s meant to be able to play football that is a slight issue, even more so when you can pay another £5 to get the same figure with the same hair and same kit but with knee joints that move.And this isn’t a big deal but the packaging seemed a bit rubbish for a Barbie doll and is something I’d expect to see on a cheap knock-off or non-branded doll.

This is the year of the 60th anniversary of the Barbie Doll.This Barbie Doll is termed as an Athlete on the box but we recognise her in soccer/football kit. She is wearing shin pads over her socks unlike real life footballers but is otherwise match ready!I think she looks very smart. Her football kit is well sewn and her football boots have studs on them. I like it than she plays football I also did when much younger, and so do many girls these days.I like the the doll has a darker skin, much better for diversity and inclusiveness. Unlike the older Barbies which were always so fair skinned.She has a more normal female shape than the earlier Barbies.This doll is not articulated but will still

With all the excitement over the women’s World Cup recently, this is a timely doll to encourage girls to play football – or soccer, as Barbie would call it… This is an attractive doll, with lovely hair and nice features.She is a standard Barbie, with fixed arms and legs. Her left arm is bent, so can hold the football she comes with. Her legs do not bend, which is difficult for playing football – there is a similar doll, which bends at the knees, but she is more expensive.She is dressed in a football kit – the shirt opens at the back, the shorts , socks, boots and shinpads, are all removable. As such, you can change her into other outfits, if you want to.

With women's football being in the news and on TV, I am glad that there are toys available to encourage young children to take an interest.This Barbie is not the standard white skin blue eyes and blond hair. She is a brunette with brown hair and eyes and a tanned tone to the skin. She is a lovely doll that comes with the kit she is wearing that include shin pads and also a football.This is a nice doll and has the branding marks you would expect as well as the health and safety marks.It comes in a firm clear plastic box with a cardboard backing.Overall well presented and packaged and one I think children will love.

This Barbie doll is a great gift for a young girl, especially one who is into sports. The doll is part of a range which covers different professions and this one (listed as an athlete) comes fully decked out in a football (soccer) kit. To complete the look she has a ball, boots and even shin pads! The appearance of the kit is rather Americanised, but of course we’re dealing with an American toy here. Regardless, I think it looks good and feel that it was likely inspired by the recent women’s World Cup, especially given the US team’s successful campaign.

With the woman's world cup happening not so long ago, I thought this was very current for my granddaughter who loves playing football incidentally. Its nice for the girls to have an "I can do it if I want to attitude "which is a very good attitude to have and with Barbie enforcing this, who knows what will happen !! There are a lot of dolls in this range which is fun. I may be wrong but I found this one a little more plastic than the normal Barbie's but at a very good price, I am not complaining.

This is one of the Barbie-themed dolls and in this case, it's to celebrate 60 years as Barbie and this is one of the incarnations as a football player. They are so much prettier now and the face is nicely painted. I had a Barbie back in the 1960s and she wasn't very attractive! This doll has a nice darker skin tone, long brown hair in a ponytail, full football kit (top, shorts and socks) including boots and shin pads. Football also included. Comes in a clear retail package.

We have just seen the end of the Women's World Cup, and now we see Barbie in her soccer gear, This is a very well presented Barbie complete with soccer ball and kit, and not much else in the way of accessories, it is very reasonably priced, and could eventually become somewhat of a collectors item due to the recent World Cup which was won by the U.S. of A, Coincidentally maybe Barbies kit does look very American.

60 years of Barbie, and she's still trying out new hobbies and careers. Here she is giving football a shot - my girls aren't interested in football but have happily let Barbie and pals have a kick about. Maybe a joint venture with some real life football clubs will sell a few more copies. She looks good and is made with the usual quality so you should get years of fun out of it.

Barbie has come a long way on her long career.This doll has Barbie as a footballer with black shorts yellow and pink football socks ,white football boots with pink laces with white shin guards with a black and pink striped football top with the number 59 on it.In the days now of women’s football and girls playing football at school this is a very contemporary doll.

My daughter loves dolls and football so to find this Barbie I was overjoyed as it ticks both boxes and made my daughter very happy! Barbie is an institution and my daughter has many Barbies, this is great as it allows girls (or boys!) to see that girls can also play football and that dolls do not always need to be the stereotypical doll format.

Such a nice change from my daughter's usual princess dolls (and very different to the Barbie dolls I played with as a child!). I like that these career dolls allow broader scope for play. The athlete doll also shows that a girl can be sporty but still be girly in her pink sports top. I like that it even comes with little shin pads for realism.

With the rise of women’s football, this anniversary Barbie doll will be a massive hit with any child. Also, given that it is an anniversary release it may also be something of a collectors item in years to come. My footy mad niece loved it.
