Barbie arrived very quickly after ordering. After reading other reviews, I was very careful when taking her out of her packaging to avoid cutting anything I shouldn't (like the surf board cord). Once I showed my 5 year old how to set up either the tail or the board, she was away. She still looks good after a long weekend's swimming and surfing! A great buy and I have just ordered another one for a friend's birthday. Recommended.

My granddaughter had a LOT of toys for Christmas, but this one seems to have been a huge hit. She has played and played with it, some of the other barbie's are still in the boxes. She loves the mermaid part, and I like that's its hard for her to loose the 'tail'. Other mermaid dolls seem to loose the fabric tail in the toy-box( or up the Hoover) .

What more could a little girl want than a barbie? A barbie DVD!!! Just be careful cutting her out of the packet, they really want her secure in that box (maybe to stay away from Ken??); I accidentally snipped her tail strut. Luckily said little girl hasn't noticed, so all remains peaceful.

I've given it plenty of stars because my G'daughters thinks it great. She's always got it with her and plays in the bath with it and sleeps with it. It makes me happy that I've bought her something that doesn't get forgot about. I thought it was a bit bright and blingy but she loves it.

Excellent item apart from string did break off within a few days but my daughter loves it. It was top of her wish list to Santa and she sleeps with it in bed so can't really say its not a well loved toy!!

nice,good quality,sturdy doll.my daughters love it,specially they like make tatoo with ice,play everywhere-in bathroom,in their room,sleep in bed and she steel look nice.highly recommend this doll

My 5 daughter loves this barbie, she's a pretty doll, although one of her feet have broke off already ( I do think my daughter pulled at it though). I think most little girls would like this toy.

I bought it for my niece and she enjoyed getting it, that's about all I can say! I've only had boys so can't compare it with anything else. It looked a bit tacky to me. But then I'm not 5!!

My daughter has had many a happy year playing with this doll . Survived the bath and is mould free inspite of several soaks. Do remember to put it upside down to dry after though.

given 5 stars by the most demanding of consumers - a young lady! It even has withstood a year of bath-times with surfing and hair-washes. Certainly a very good value buy!

I bought two barbie dolls for my twin daughters. Both of my daughters loved the dolls and played with them a lot. Excellent present. My girls rated the product above.

Bought for daughter's birthday, I like this doll because she can play with it in the bath! Bought whilst on offer, wouldn't have paid full price.

My daughter is a Barbie devotee and is very happy with this doll. She has been swimming with it and it is a regular play item of hers.

My child loved this toy. A bit tricky to alter to mermaid at first but a fun toy. A bit different from the usual mermaid Barbie.
