This is a delightful play set with Chelsea the mermaid, and her friend the Merbear who of course also has a tail. The set was really easy to assemble even without the clear diagrams to help, all slots well together and seems very robust. The colours are fun and so is the idea, the friends can swing, (yes, the swing does swing) slide, splash about or have a sand pit or afternoon tea at their table. Chelsea's arms move, she can bend at the waist, her tail swivels - and her long, pretty pink hair can be brushed with the comb niftily hidden in her tail - very clever!All small girls will adore this, I know I would have done aged 5-9 years !My only reservation is the cost,

A cute little Barbie playset, including a mini-Barbie mermaid and a small mer-bear pet to keep her company. Prior to being played with my little niece, my 10 year old assembled the set without any supervision. There were no stickers that needed to be applied.The set has a few play elements to it, the central focus being slide, which can be terminated in the water pool, creating a small (and therefore manageable) splash. The bit that delighted my niece was that you can squeeze the pet and it inhales the water - which can then be squirted out to the delight of the child - possibly not so much for adults (take one for the team!). Chelsea mermaid doll- With this playset you get a Chelsea mermaid doll and her friend Merbear, a colour sandcastle playset with a table and pool.The sandcastle playset is bright and colourful that is quite easy to assemble. The castle has a swing for Chelsea to sit on and yes it moves and also comes with a slide that Merbear can go down and splash into a pool filled with water at the bottom.My granddaughter who is nearly 4 loved this toy as she was in her eliminate filling Merbear up with water and running round the garden trying to squirt everyone. Once she wore herself out with this she than sat down so Chelsea and friend could have afternoon tea on their delightful table.

This mini-Barbie Mermaid (and her merbear friend) are not part of the standard Barbie range of dolls, this is a smaller version suitable for younger children and thus has more of a fantasy element about it.It is not large but has quite a few pieces, an adult will need to assemble it. It's not difficult to out together and requires no adhesives or tools, it clips together (but doesn't unclip once assembled). Just the most perfect set for a hot summer day! Since Sophia opened the Dreamtopia Chelsea mermaid set she hasn’t wanted to play with anything else. She was happy playing with the castle, Chelsea doll, mermaid bear and table set as it was, but when she realised she could add water it opened up a whole new world of fun! The set was so easy to assemble, Sophia (5) was so impatient she set it up by herself, so definitely not a complicated build. The slide and pool are perfect for both Chelsea and her bear’maid sidekick. There’s even a swing with clips to keep your dolls safe!Chelsea has a beautiful yellow comb in her tail which is brilliant for brushing through her wet hair when she’s taken a dip.

This play set comes with an under the sea castle playset with a table and bath/pool alongside a chelsea mermaid doll and merbear friend.It's very easy to assemble and is colourful and vibrant. The castle has a working swing for Chelsea and a slide that the Merbear can go down. If you fill the bath/tub and place it at the end then the merbear can splash into it at the bottom of the slide.You can also use the Merbear as a squirter and have lots of fun refilling it and chasing people with it.Chelsea has poseable arms and she can bend at the waist. This is an adorable and magical playset containing one small, child sized MerBarbie, her Merbear friend, a combined Swing and Slide which has turrets like a castle and a little table and chairs for a tea party with accessories and a comb for her hair.It’s a lovely playground set, it’s fairly small, perfect for the small child Barbie scale and the doll fits into the swing and slides down the slide well. It’s was very quick and easy to assemble and my daughters absolutely love this. They’re big fantasy, mermaid fans so this adds to their Barbie collection nicely. Now they want a big ‘Mummy’ Barbie Mermaid to go with it.All in all a lovely set. If these were around the £10 mark I’d be happy to buy more.

Yet another Barbie related playset, but one which is playable and well-liked. The set is made from quality plastic and includes a palace and swing, a small bath, a mermaid doll, a small bear and other bits and pieces which can be used to enhance the playability. Personally I do not like it so much, but what do I know compared to our girls who love it. They will the bath up with water, the Merbear spurts water, the put the doll on the swing and their imagination does the rest. They love it. So on the playability score its almost a perfect toy. I am very happy to recommend it and given to the right person, they will get a lot of fun out of it.

This set was quite fiddly to assemble and definitely use adult supervision. It's just a case of clicking plastic bits into each other and is fairly obvious where all the bits go. But instructions are included if you want to follow them. I managed to hurt myself a couple of times by clicking the parts on my fingers! Once it's assembled, it can't be taken apart again. It's pretty good fun. My pre-schooler filled the little bath with water and has been playing water slides with the doll. The little table and chairs and tea set is a nice touch but the little parts get lost easily. Overall good value for money and has lots of play value here.

A cute Barbie mermaid play set.Firstly and very importantly the play set isn’t huge. Our little one has so many toys and sometimes it feels like they are taking over the house, so this mid sized set is very welcome.It is a cute and fun set with lot of action mermaid Chelsea and her mer-bear to play in and on- a swing a slide, a bath and even a tete a tête-à-tête coffee table set, which also doubles as a hairdressers chair allowing you to utilise the hidden tail comb.It’s easy to put together and looks very pretty when you have done so. It is good quality and sturdy, up to the rough and tumble of toddler play ( set is for ages 3+)

This is a really fun playset from the Dreamtopia range. It includes a sweet, Chelsea mermaid – along with a little Merbear, to play with. There is assembly required, but my twelve year old daughter put it together in about fifteen minutes, so not too difficult.Chelsea has a swing, a slide, with a little tube at the bottom, which you can fill with water, plus a table and chairs, for a tea party. There are some nice extras, so the bottom of her tail has a little, removable comb. Chelsea has lovely pink hair and bends at the waist, so she can sit on the swing, or at the table. I think this is great fun – my little niece adores it.

This is a fabulous little Barbie Chelsea Mermaid set, with her little friend Merbear. Comes with translucent castle parapets and a slide, into a bathtub. From the castle there is a clam shell swing for Chelsea to sit in, as well as a set of table and two chairs, with cup and saucer accessories.Chelsea has pink hair, which can be combed with her cleverly hidden comb, which she hides in her tail. Merbear can hold water and playfully squirt it out of his mouth with a squeeze and Chelsea's tail can flip back and forth.The set is very reasonably priced at £14.99 and is a cute little playset.

Just when you think that you have seen all that Barbie can offer, Barbie Dreamtopia appears.This doll is a Barbie-esque mermaid figure complete with toy playset. Comb Barbie’s hair with the comb found in her tail fin, play with water and let mer-Bear squirt water, assemble Barbie’s world. There is much to engage the imaginative child and whilst the set is comprised of unfashionable plastic, nevertheless this will withstand much use and encourage creative play.The accompanying diagrammatic instructions are clear and this set is simple to assemble.

Mermaids and Barbie are really popular with my nearly five year old, so combining the two loves was bound to be a hit.The mermaids little face has a really sweet smile, her pink hair is gorgeous (and the little comb has been well used) and the presentation of the whole set is lovely.This Barbie set is definitely aimed at the younger girls; the accessories are a bit smaller and chunkier than the standard Barbie dolls, for smaller hands to grip and they are cute, especially the little Merbear that squirts water.
