The box is huge and very nicely presented with a country farm scene background. In the box you get an original Barbie with long light blonde hair, blue eyes, with a cute plait at the top, she’s wearing a yellow polka dot top with a fun cactus design on the front and light blue denim skinny leg jeans with nicely detailed light tan high heeled cowboy boots, she has moveable knees, elbows but not wrists or ankles like her ‘Made To Move’ Barbie cousins. Her little sister Chelsea is super cute with light blonde hair, blue eyes and moveable knee joints. She has a painted on pink vest and dungaree style all in one, with a cotton removable pink and white polka dot skirt and long yellow removable wellington boots.There are two two horses,one for Barbie and a smaller pony for Chelsea. Both horses come with removable saddles, reins and ‘bobble’ heads that move up and down and turn sidewards. They both have beautiful soft manes and tails. There’s also the cutest little puppy too. There’s 6 white sturdy fences that clip together or can be used separately, as they stand up, so great for show jumping practice.The other accessories are a large wicker basket, a horse brush and pail, a feeding bottle for the pony, carrots, apples, and a bale of hay to keep those horses well fed. There’s also a hanging trough for the horses’ food, a floral blanket and Barbie and her sister Chelsea have their own riding hats.It all feels well made and solid, with well thought out items for lots of imaginative play for boys and girls. The only thing I’d have liked to see are rosettes for the horses when they win the local gymkhana. I’m going to put this one by for my granddaughter when she’s old enough, her Mother loves horses so I’m sure my granddaughter will adore this Barbie Hugs ‘n’ Horses playset as much as I do. I’ve added lots of photos including the back of Barbie’s hair, at the time of writing this review this playset was on offer, making it great value especially as a Christmas or birthday present.

Oh my word, how much do I love this set!Despite being a Sindy girl at heart, I have always loved any doll that comes with a horse - a horse that can be posed is even better! I loved my Sindy horse when I was little but blimey he was rock hard and solid, nothing moved on him. I also had an Anna and Happytime who had jointed limbs and neck, and could be posed over jumps, soooo much fun!So yes, the simple fact that these ponies can be moved makes such a difference. And then you start to see all the other bits and bobs!Barbie herself is looking the part, in her jeans, top and cowboy boots, and look who else is here - it's her little sister, Chelsea, in her dungaree dress and wellies.I am so envious of Barbie's pink riding hat, why don't I have one?!There are two different size ponies, both with heads that move, saddles and reins that can be removed. Both have manes long enough to plait etc.There is also a dinky little puppy with a big smile, some very sturdy fences that clip together, or can be used individually as jumps (hurrah for fences that stand up properly!), a bale of hay, feeding basket, blanket, carrots (the carrots are brilliant!), apples etc, so many things.The little bottle of milk is a tad random!As a horse mad child who hasn't yet grown out of it, I would have loved this so much when I was little. I love it now! It is well made, everything is well finished off, and there has obviously been a lot of thought put into the whole set.It isn't cheap - £49.97 at times of reviewing, but you get a lot of Stuff for your money. If horsey children are anything like I was, they will be playing with this set for absolutely ages.

Original Barbie products are a bit like their Lego counterparts in the sense that whilst you will always pay a little (or a lot) more than the plethora of cheap imitations, at least you always know what you'll get in terms of quality and attention to detail. This set is no exception, indeed as many reviewers have cited, it is exceedingly well thought out (will get imaginations tingling) and is the usual good quality - the larger pony as an example stands 9.5 inches high and the expression on the dog's face is priceless (4-10 yr old hearts will melt).Our 4yr old opened the box and played with this for two hours non stop on first outing, that alone makes it nigh impossible not to recommend (even though she is now demanding we buy her a pony),but my one caveat is that rather hefty price tag. Note all other reviews thus far are from amazon.com where in the US the kit is sold in parity to the pound, making it great value. Here at a whisker short of £50 it is rather expensive and thus my one star deduction. May be harsh as this really does exude both quality and good design but I fear the price will put this out of reach for many kids who would react the same way as ours has to what essentially is a great set.Edit Aug 19. At time of original review price was £49.99 which Amazon has since lowered to a much more wallet friendly £36, making this now excellent value for money.

Hours of fun…..This big box is filled with goodies that any child will enjoy. You get plenty in the set to help little minds stimulated for fun play. You get Barbie and Barbie’s sister and a large selection of accessories.You get two horses, one for Barbie and a smaller pony for the sister. Both horses come with removable saddles, reins and ‘bobble’ heads that move up and down. You also get six white fence panels that can be clipped together or can be used separately. You get a whole host of other accessories that are needed for long days at the stables.You get a wicker basket, a horse brush and pail, a feeding bottle for the pony, carrots, apples, and a bale of hay to keep those horses well fed.There’s also a hanging trough for the horses’ food, a floral blanket and Barbie and her sister have their own riding hats, safety first.It around £50 it’s an expensive gift but you do get a lot of Barbie and accessories for the money. It has been reduced for around £37 (End August 2019) which is a much better price.However my daughter loved playing with this set and has taken Barbie and her sister on many adventures. I have taken a star off as I feel £40 offers the consumer better value for money. Perfect as a Birthday or Christmas gift. My Daughter gave me a big thumbs up.4 Stars

I don’t know what is going on with the Barbie packaging but it took literally half an hour to separate Barbie and accessories from the box… once she was released I can honestly say it’s a gorgeous set. It will make such an amazing gift for those little Barbie fans. My daughter is 10 and doesn’t really play much with Barbies anymore but this set has her 2 favourite animals – horses and the dog – so it was an instant hit and I have to say being played with every day! So much so, that all the Barbies that have gathered dust have joined in the game. There is a horse for Barbie and a pony for Chelsea (the wee mini “barbie”).There knees bend to be able to sit on their horses.The horses are interactive and can move their heads and their soft gentle manes and tail brushed with the included horse brush. Included as well are the 6 picket fences that easily clip together, basket and bucket, feeding trough, hay-bale, food, bottle and the little puppy. Each horse and pony has its own saddle and bridle and there are helmets for Barbie and Chelsea. My daughter has also kept the included farm backdrop for part of her play and she is very keen for more Barbies now because of this farm Barbie set. Can highly recommend.

The grin from ear to ear was a delight when our granddaughter saw this. She's Barbie mad and this one ticks so many boxes for her.It comes in quite a large box with a clear front so you can see what you get. There's a full sized Barbie with lovely long blonde hair which is jointed at the knees and elbows. There is also a small 'little sister' Barbie to tag along and play with Barbie. Each have their own horses – a large one for Barbie and smaller one for little sis. The horses have lovely hair manes and tails and among the several accessories is a horse brush for brushing the manes and tails.The accessories are well thought out to go with the dolls and horses and the detail is good.The two dolls clothes are practical for their horse riding and seem well made.If you have a little one who loves Barbie and/or horses, then they would not be disappointed in this as a gift.

Barbie FXH15 Hug n Dolls Horses and AccessoriesThe product.This is a Barbie toy with horse and accessories. It is a well-made toy with lots to do and plenty of play value.PlayOur niece loves horse and this was very popular. She has had many hours of fun with it and it can be used with other Barbie toys. The doll is posable. The play possibilities are endless, she has been on many adventures with this set. Everything from rides out in the garden to finding a lost pony. It certainly stimulates creative thinking. There are plenty of accessories included as well.Overall.A very nice set with plenty of play options. My only negative comment is it is quite expensive for what it is. However,seeing the amount of play she has had out of it she has had her monies worth several times over. Being Barbie, the toys are strong and well designed.

After the party, where our six year old granddaughter with her friends went riding ponies at a riding school, we gave her the Barbie doll set. She absolutely loved it.It is a lot of money for what it is though at £40 -— but this is from a person who remembers when a pint of beer was 1 shilling & sixpence (which would be 7½ new pence today) ??We used to get 240 pennies for every pound sterling. In I971 they robbed us of 140 from every pound. It was called decimalisation. Soon after, we were paying one new penny, which is 2.4 old pennies, for things that could have been bought for one old penny only a year before . We was robbed?)Anyway, I digress.However, £40 is still a lot of money for what it is.? ? (supposed to be pony & trap) ?

The Barbie hugs and horses looks a very appealing play set. Nicely packaged and layed out showing all contents in an appropriate size box, however disappointed at the use of unnecessary plastic, and took some effort to get it all out of the packaging Would be nice if the packaging could be converted somehow into storage for the set, or came with some kind of box or bag, as small parts are always getting lost.The set includes a lot, and nice that it comes together rather than having lots of separate parts to buy. Quality seems good, Barbie clothes and shoes tricky for children to take off and put on, as always with these types of things. Nice that the horses heads move,would be good if the legs were articulated too.

I suppose Barbie is not that PC at present but we have always had her in our house, my daughter adored her when she was young and her daughter does as well. This is a really good collection with a pony and horse, 2 dolls, fences, equipment, little hard hats and a pet dog. I have to admit to having a play with it but it has now gone away for Santa to bring at Christmas. Sometimes these collections can be a bit lacking but this is really good, nice big pieces that can't be eaten and everything can be stored back in the box so bits don't go astray. Can't wait to add it to a couple of other Barbies we have purchased along the way - this is by far the best one we have had so far.Worth every penny.

One of our grand daughters helps out at a stables and is absolutely mad on all things Barbie related so an obvious gift for her to have. She was over the moon seeing this stable set, comes in a colourful box with everything pleasingly displayed . A horse and pony, two lovely dressed dolls, pet puppy, riding helmets, bridles, saddles etc, lovely accessories, the ponies heads move up and down. I think a few more fences extra to make a bigger corral would be a nice addition at little cost. Mattel have come up with another quality toy set and maybe a little reduction in price would help make it more affordable for larger families to be able to purchase these wonderful toy sets.

There's nothing not to like about this Barbie set other than the price. Sadly it will be beyond the reach of many parents. It has fantastic play potential and will thrill any young girl who loves horses and ponies. It's well made and the range of components (of which there are many) will allow for hours of simple play and pleasure. The price is justified by the size of the set, so it's still good value, but it is such a lot of money that for many it can only be a carefully considered purchase.

This is something most girls would scream for. A lovely set of adult Barbie with a younger version, animals and props - do look at the various photos on the page.Just touching the £50 mark looks expensive but considering that many Barbie dolls retail for £12 singly, then looking at the number of pieces in the box, it seems fair, (but may be cheaper elsewhere or on offer days).Usual quality of Barbie. Can be played with other sets (we have the campervan) and much loved by granddaughter.

Absolutely delightful, and the perfect gift for a young lady who is into her horses. Two ponies, two figures and a puppy, as well as all the equestrian trimmings, this set has enchanted my friends children who come to vsiit regularly (even more than the real horses here). The presentation of the box is lovely, although the box is a bit flimsy - fortunately it was extremely well packed by Amazon which prevented any damage. If you have children who love horses this is ideal

The Barbie doll and horses came in very secure packaging it did take about 5-10 minutes to unpack. Once out of the packaging the horses are very well constructed of good quality material. The accessories for the doll and horses were of a good size to handle. The joints on the doll were stiff at first but soon loosened. Barbies clothes are easily removed for cleaning. Chelsea's clothes also remove to leave her in a swimsuit like out fit onExcellent product.
