Love my Apple Pencil so much that I bought a backup.Works much better than the 53 Pencil I bought (before I went ahead with the Apple Pencil); better control, quick charge, great battery life.I gave it 5 stars, but there *are* changes I would make, in a perfect world scenario...* too easy to lose the cap. Really, you have to buy a cap-keeper, and I've yet to find one that doesn't lose its 'grip' after a while, so it becomes useless. Have to buy them in bulk, I guess.* too easy to lose the charger adapter piece. Honestly, there's got to be a way to either make this a snap-on piece *with* the cap - combine it in to one piece..? - or otherwise attach it to the Pencil. ...Silly.* ...related to the Pencil, sort of: I've not found an iPad case that adequately carries your pencil so that you can use the iPad while it's attached. My elastic pencil case (that straps 'round the closed iPad) is basically useless. You have to take it off and set it somewhere when using your iPad, with or without using the pencil at the same time. It's then just another thing to misplace. And it doesn't hold the charger adapter piece - nor the cap, by the way, which you have to remove if you need to charge your pencil in your iPad. The ones that *do* have a little elastic sleeve for the adapter look to me more like a great way to get rid of the adapter than to hold it. ...What's stopping it from just popping out? These things aside.. Love the Apple Pencil!Obviously there is a good amount of chaos in my life, which is why I look for products to make it less chaotic. The Apple Pencil, while being a great product, adds chaos instead of reducing it, as there are little pieces about and no really good way to keep them together. : /Read full review...

I bought my iPad Pro in December 2017, but didn’t think I needed to spend extra for a pencil!I started to get frustrated with using a generic stylus as I wasn’t getting the same response I was getting just using my fingers. Obviously with just using your fingers it’s not easy to be accurate and sometimes hitting the wrong thing. So I bit the bullet when I also saw that it had £10 off making even more appealing.Well I can now tell you I should have bought it when I bought my iPad Pro as it make life so much easier. When I use it to write notes it’s just like using a pen and paper. It’s transformed my experience. It really is a must have, it works so well no matter what you are doing, making presentations, playing games, surfing the web or drawing. It does seem expensive for a pen but it’s worth every penny as it enhances your iPad Pro.

Received 3 days ago, the only gripe I have is that the envelope this was posted in could have been a bit more padded to prevent potential damage to the item, however, no damage was caused to the Pencil and it works perfectly, it was advertised as new/other, if this is a used item then it was either kept in a very good condition by the previous owner or hardly used, I’m always spectacle when something is advertised as new when it does not come boxed and sealed but I have no reason to doubt this is new and for £48 I would not have any reason to moan if this has been used. I know some people want the adapter to charge or the spare tips and pay more just for these. You may need a spare tip in future but if you ever put your iPad down for 15 minutes then there is no need for an adapter as you just charge from the iPads lightning port.Read full review...

The Apple Pencil will really enhance your iPad. In my opinion it is a must have, along with the Smart Keyboard, and if you want be to be completely wireless (except for charging of course), you should get AirPods too. The Pencil holds 12 hours of charge, I never went through it all in a day even though I am using the iPad both for work and entertainment at home and on the way home/to work. With the iPad Pro it is amazing at handwriting and drawing and that’s thanks to the 120 Hertz refresh rate, virtually no lag. With the budget model iPad 7 it’s a bit different, since it doesn’t have that refresh rate you can feel a bit of choppiness (checked in an Apple Store). Overall,a very good addition to your daily iPadding, just make sure to get a case for it or a magnetic sleeve so you can always have it with you attached to your iPad.Read full review...

I work as a Graphic Designer/Artworker and constantly use digital programs/tools to aid my work. I purchased the Apple Pencil for my iPad Pro 9.7 as a way to draw sketches digitally instead of wasting endless amounts paper, and I am very pleased that I did! It's very accurate and the battery life is phenomenal! Although it is on the pricey side in comparison to other tablet styluses, I definitely think this product is worth the money is a good substitute from the Wacom Cintiq (that is, if you already own an iPad Pro of course). My only criticism with the product is that it took a while to get used to holding it as it is quite slippery - I recommend getting a pen rubber grip with it as it willmake drawing with the Pencil so much more comfortable!

The Apple pencil is a very clever implement, well made and very easy to use. It does cost a huge amount which is where eBay pricing is so helpful.Apple products are well made and very useful. They are also rather beautiful. The Apple pencil compliments iPads very wellThe connection is very simple to use although the charging adapter is small and needs to be looked after carefully. It would be useful for there to be an easy way to hook the pencil to an iPad. It does connect magnetically, but not very strongly. An iPad cover with a pen holder would help. All in all, it is an excellent piece of kit, but rather expensive. If you are convinced that you will use it, then it is probably worth it,but perhaps it should be tried out first.

I bought this to go with my 10.5 inch iPad Pro and being a professional Tattoo Artist and general hobby artist I find it to be the most versatile tool any artist could need. Forget pencilling, tracing, inking, painting. You can do it all in an app and get fantastic results. The result you want without having to either live with any mistakes or redo hours worth of work. The product itself is packed with sensors that allow you sketch really light pencil or press down a bit and you’ve got a hard pencil line. Use it on its edge and it acts like a traditional pencil, broadening the stroke allowing large areas to be shaded during a sketch or the size of your brush if painting.Well worth the price.

This is an awesome edition to the ipad pro. If you draw then i would say you cant live with out this little device as it makes drawing sooo much easier. For me it has opened up a whole world of uses now as i design games for a living and now i can draw some sketches up on the commute to work without needing to lug a laptop/graphic drawing matt with me. It is expensive but for the uses it gives you the cost is actually quite reasonable. The only thing i dont like about this is the silly way apple implemented the re-charging solution.... it looks ridiculous when you plug it into your ipad... with that said they do give you an adapter to fit it onto a charging cable so its not all bad.

Have tried using the various stylus type pens that have evolved over the years for my IOS devices but the Apple Pencil takes manipulation of a touch screen to a whole new level.Of course there is a hefty price tag when buying new but looking around eBay you can spot some slightly used ones far cheaper. If the only thing with a cheaper option is the lack of a charger, then you shouldn't worry as the pencil can be easily charged by placing it in the iPad lightning port for very quick charging.Using the pencil with Apps like Procreate really shows off its true worth. Basically it works and feels just like a real pencil.

I thought I had bought this in gold but arrived silver and my inner perfectionist cringes at this but I was so excited to use it I'm getting over it. Using this pencil on my iPad Pro for drawing and painting as a graphic designer is awesome. I'm used to using a Wacom tablet for work with an iMac so this wasn't completely unnatural to me but the realisticness of this is mind blowing. A truely beautiful piece of design, weighted perfectly, slim and comfortable to hold makes drawing and painting a breeze! I don't see any benefit for normal everyday use though, just for designing where you need the control.

I purchased this to go with my iPad Pro as I liked the idea of being able to take notes in meetings and mark up documents.Needless to say, it is a dream to connect, use and note-take/draw with. The simple plain white pencil is comfortable to hold and weighty enough that it feels premium. There is no lag from pencil to screen and fact it can charge off of the iPad is handy in a pinch. I would say though that the cap is easy to lose and no eraser on the top of the pencil is a missed opportunity. However I can’t fault it’s performance or usefulness - another piece of kit done right by Apple.

I bought this Apple Pencil to complement my recent iPad purchase. It works really well and when I get round to editing my photos and videos I’m sure it will come into it’s own. It is far more precise than using your finger. It might seem expensive but build quality is that of all Apple products and works seamlessly. Easy charging through the lightning port on the iPad, only down side (unless I haven’t found it yet) is there is no indication of the battery level within the pencil. It hasn’t run out yet so no issue really.

This pen is beyond all others as far as I have seen. I use an older iPad Pro (2016) model and stylus compatibility is rare. It’s not compatible with good non Apple pencils eg adonit note or the Logitech crayon, so I’m left with the other cheaper styluses and Apple Pencil. I’m a student and I need good consistent performance from a stylus as I write loaaads. Apple Pencil doesn’t go wrong. I would recommend looking for a second hand Apple Pencil over alternatives. I got mine for half price and it works like brand new.

I got this at the start of September for starting 2nd year. I've been using it with notability for my lectures and general notes & its made my life so much easier. All my notes are in one place and it's made writing my notes more efficient. I have dyslexia, and this is the best thing I've come across. I'm able make my notes very colourful and it's very easy to edit and save as a pdf. to my Google drive and that means I can pull them up on my desktop as well.Overall, i would definetly recommend this product.

An extremely responsive, smooth and accurate stylus, which really does feel like a pencil. My previous cheaper stylus was nothing like this. With the Apple Pencil, you really do know precisely where the tip will makes its mark and what that mark will look like. Great for writing, sketching, drawing, shading and colouring. The finish of the Pencil body is a little shiny and slippery but you can customise it with tape or get creative and coat it with adhesive paper and make it look like an old school pencil.
