Very nice indeed.Having read comparative reviews of tablet stylus devices I was unsure about ordering the Wacom Bamboo - it lacks some of the fancy hardware (discs and fine tips) associated with more expensive devices and, surely, nothing so simple can actually work? The pen uses a dense but springy and soft rubber tip to register contact with the capacitive touchscreen of a compatible tablet or phone. The tip of the Bamboo generates a small electrical potential difference between the tablet screen and the pen and thus triggers the screen's digitizer. The bamboo basically emulates the conductive properties of a finger. The Bamboo does not work with a resistive touchscreen as found on older PDAand sat nav devices (I have tried it on my Mio C710 sat nav with a resistive touchscreen and it doesn't work unless I apply significant pressure which the Bamboo is not designed to do).It does, I'm happy to report, work really well with capacitive touchscreen devices such as the iPad, iPhone and Nexus 5 and it surpasses all of the expectations I had and then a few more expectations for good measure:1) It's comfortable to hold and sports the size, solidity and feel of a quality fountain pen (it actually reminds me of the feel of a Parker Duofold International)2) The tip provides good feedback and overall feeling when in contact with the screen of the device - you can feel both the pressure of the pen against the screen and the motion and pressure of the pen and it does feel very much like writing on paper3) The contact is accurate and there are no missing strokes when used like a normal pen (unlike some of the more expensive disc based devices)4) It is possible to create a really good "autograph" using this pen and free iOS autograph software on an iPad. This autograph stands up to scrutiny when subsequently used in high quality documents (I only received the Wacom Bamboo today and already I have received two emails asking me how I made the "fancy scanned" signature!)5) I have used the pen to hand write a letter on an iPad screen. The letter has then been put through OCR with 100% detection accuracyI'm not going to mention "negative" points such as the need to change the foam tips now and then because this is an ongoing maintenance cost. Still, the cost of new tops - I suspect one every two to six months depending on usage - is something to consider. Nonetheless, the cost is less than topping up your supply of a decentish gel pen.It is not possible to make fine written lines with the Bamboo. The surface area of the tip prevents a calligraphy style surface area contact of thick lines and thin lines. I don't see this as a problem because the purpose of the pen is clearly advertised as an annotation and writing device. If you want fine control then a Samsung tablet/phone using Wacom's active S Pen technology is for you - this isn't.A great device and not only would I buy again but I will buy again - in fact I'm off to order a few more now for myself and as Christmas presents ;-)

I am an artist & draw a lot on my iPad, I also now like to use a stylus to type, scroll etc. rather than my finger, so I have bought & used all the styluses available. This is the best in my view, though the Just Mobile Alupen comes a close second, the problem with that one is the rubber tip is a bit too soft, & some might not like it's heavy & stubby feel. The Bamboo is not stubby at all though has a pleasing weight that is nicely balanced. For drawing I like the Bamboo stylus because like a pencil one can hold it higher up the handle. Many reviews mention the rubber tips splitting quickly, I am surprised at this as in fourteen months of daily (& heavy) use I have only needed to replace the tip three times.I just wonder if these bad reviews are because people have been conned with look-alike replicas. The tips are easy to get on Amazon & cost around £7 for three, which I think is a high price for what they are, but not prohibitively so.It is surprising how differently the tips behave on the pad, the cheapo styluses (ones you get three for a couple of quid) are OK but they feel flimsy & lack balance for drawing, their tips are not that responsive. The Acase stylus feels nicer to use, but the tip is as unresponsive as the cheap ones when drawing. One cannot replace split tips for either of these. The Alupen is good, feels solid & very much like a thick graphite 'pastel' to use, it has good reviews, the tip is nicely responsive but I find the tip far too soft. I also see no way to replace a split tip, which considering the cost of the pen is a serious consideration. So though rather expensive to buy, & to get replacement tips, the Bamboo stylus seems the best buy to me.

i will admit as some of the other reviews you can read about this product will tell you...its really well balanced, it's very well made and it is a lot better than some of the cheapo eBay specials you can buy as far as a stylus goes. For the price i cant but feel i expect more from this stylus especially from Wacom. Build quality is one thing but use is also another,I use a tablet to design/draw on my computer and that's also from Wacom and its fantastic but every single stylus i have used including this one i am always left thinking they are clumsy and inaccurate and no good for fine detail work.I still wait the day for capitative styluses to be just as good as using a pencil/pen in regardsto its feel and accuracy and i appreciate the difficulty of this but with the tech we have now a days i just want a company to crack it.This is just my opinion and maybe im been too picky with high expectations but as a consumer like you reading this i hope i'm not alone in expecting this level of quality form a product.i expected/hoped that from this Stylus from what all reviews said but left with the same opinion as i mentioned earlier.Buy it if you like Wacom products and the fantastic build quality and if you want something better than a cheap stylus but stick to your finger if you have high expectations from what you want from a stylus as in u want the same performance as a pencil/pen - capacitive tech isn't quite their yet for styluses.

I bought this for my younger sister who uses an iPad mini and likes to draw a lot, admittedly it serves its purpose and is as well built as you would expect. The stylus is a comfortable weight and length and just feels like an ordinary weighted pen. The clip on the top of the stylus seems like it might be useful but to be perfectly honest I haven't seen my sister use it and I doubt I would either. So why not five stars? I've opted to giving this 4 stars as even though this has been reduced you are probably better off just getting a cheaper stylus for this kind of task. Wacom have great build quality and you should certainly go to them if you are on the market for a digitizer pen (for example for the surface pro/pro 2)however I feel that when you're looking for a simple stylus to use on your ordinary touch screen you're better off buying a few cheaper ones in the event that you lose them. They probably won't feel as weighted as this stylus does, which certainly is a good point of this stylus, but most people aren't really looking for that in a stylus I suspect. So in conclusion: pros - weighted, simple, nice clip, sturdyCons - none you're just probably better off buying cheaper alternatives

Being relatively new to the stylus market, I was pleasantly surprised with this nifty gadget! I was initially hesitant spend upwards of £20 on a simple stylus. However, any doubts I may have had were quickly vanquished once I received this nifty gadget. Like most things in life, buying a high quality item (like this) is likely to result in a far superior experience. I opted for the white version to compliment my white iPad, and compliment it, it does! From the very packaging you can see that this is a high quality item. Once opened the actual stylus is absolutely gorgeous! The finishing is solid and it has a nice weight. I previously used a Griffin stylus, which although good, did not provide the same quality. The stylus is smooth to the touch and can be disassembled to change the user-replaceable nib (if and when it ears down), as well as providing the option to remove the clip.All-in-all, this stylus has a solid, high quality finish and I am very satisfied with my purchase. 5/5

I have tried a dozen IPAD styluses, and this is far and away the best. I use the handwriting function of Notes Plus a LOT (3, 4 hours a day???) and only the Bamboo has 1) the thinness of tip and 2) smoothness over the IPAD screen surface, that makes this possible. All the others quickly became sticky -- or -- the bane of the capacitative stylus -- developed tears. But the real USP of the Wacom is the fact you can replace the tip. And, its true, you need to, on a regular basis. The tips DO tear, or even if they dont, they lose their resilience after about 3 to 4 weeks of intensive use. So buy some tips and replace! Its no big deal! That facility alone makes this stylus the category killer.Of course, if using the stylus mainly for double tapping apps, or the IPAD keyboard, then the Wacom offers no special advantage, and you can happily stick with something cheaper. But for any longterm use of the stylus AS A PEN, then look no further....

Superb stylus!. I've just bought a second one of these as I've had one of these for something ridiculous like 4+ years. To be honest, it doesn't show it's age at all besides from the rubber end feeling a bit softer compared to the new one. But besides that it's almost as good as new! These have a nice weight to them, made of solid hard wearing material (as over 4 years of use has proven) and are very reactive with touch screens.I use this on my tablet and have never used a better stylus of this type. Never buy one of those cheap ones you see in shops or markets, I've used one of them and you have to apply at least twice as much pressure as these for them to work.Best to do it right the first time and buy a good quality one since you won't look back.So I;m thoroughly impressed and hope Wacom continue to make these. Well worth the money as I think I paid at least double the price it is now for my first one.

The issues that have been discussed with this pen... I have not encountered. Its of high quality and works perfect with my ipad and htc phone, it also works with my husband trandformer prime. I use this stylus every day and not only for drawing. Minimal pressure is required for drawing as it holds a healthy weight to it. To be honest i think the decsription of the weight is exaggerrated by some users. I would say however that is you have big hands then you may struggle a little using this pen. It is not very long and dependant upon how you grip it you may encounter an issue. This product was recommended to me buy my friend whom is a professional tattooist. He draws up his designs on his tablet and prints them out for his customers and uses this pen and thinks its amazing. We both use the Sketch book pro app which works a treat.**apologies, i keep referring to it as a pen, i mean stylus**

I searched the internet for a suitable stylus for my new tablet. I wanted one that wouldn't feel cheap, nor did I want one that had a flimsy nib to it. This stylus is just that. When it arrived it was boxed in a nice box, had relevant instructions to it (even though how many people will need instructions for a stylus?!) and looked like a solid product. Once out of the packaging, the pen fit my hand perfectly, it had a nice smooth surface to hold and had a surprising weight in it. The nib is exactly what I was looking for, not huge and soft, but smaller and more precise than most on the market! Some reviewers on here say that it doesn't last long, with this in mind I bought a pack of spares for not much at all of Amazon with it.At full price, this stylus is quite expensive, but on offer it is a bargain and well worth the money! On offer I would recommend totally!

This stylus was just what I needed. I read a lot of .pdf files on my Nexus 7, and wanted something I could use to annotate them rather than having to create hand written notes on paper. This stylus, as the tip is slimmer then normal, allows greater control over what you are doing. The stylus is quite solid and feels like you are holding a proper pen. Some styli are too light or slippy and give you little control or force you to press down in order to make a mark. The weight of this stylus does that for you. Whilst not as accurate as an actual pen nib, it is a vast improvement on a lot of the styli out there. The pen clasp on the side of the stylus allows me to secure it in the spine of my tablet cover so I won't lose it.I fully recommend this product to anyone who wants to make handwritten digital notes on documents or e-notepads.

The stylus whilst not cheap is, when compared to cheap ones, very superior indeed. It has a comfortable heft to it and glides accurately over my iPad screen with all the sensitivity one could ask for. About 50% of the black paint on the barrel has peeled off making the stylus look tatty. The tips can be replaced but are very expensive.I bought a pack of 3 from Amazon in November (£7.99) and have just this week fitted the last one (an easy job by the way) Amazon now show 3 for 99p + £4.50 p&p!YES! Buy this stylus it does what it should and, at least, initially looks good. If the tips are only 99p then buy them from a good old fashioned high street shop which won't charge p&p.... providing,of course, you can find one. I've just remembered the other good thing about Amazon... almost everything is there.

I kno this stylus has had mixed reviews so i have added cures for 2 of the main complaints. i love my new stylus and has been the best investment iv made this year for my ipad, my sketching has improved leaps and bounds and i now enjoy taking notes on my ipadQUICK TIP... If u use the stylus for notetaking or drawing..... take 1/2 the wool from one end of a cotten bud, fluff it up and then push it in to the nib before you use your stylus, it stiffens the nib without reducing responsivness and makes it far easyer to use.QUICK TIP 2.... If ur sylus starts to not respond very well clean your screen and dip the tip of the nib in to a v small ammount of talcom powder, now gently rub it in to the nib in the palm and it will become just as responsive as if it was brand new.Hope this helps

An excellent stylus for my iPad Air. You just have to ensure that the tip makes full contact with the screen, as using it at a low angle can sometimes deem it ineffective. However it is good for writing and I have been using it on top of my Anker Tempered Glass Screen Protector and it has been working perfectly with no problems at all. Be sure to have a screen protector on, as with any object you wouldn't want tough edges coming in contact with the bare screen - especially as although the stylus has a rubber tip it does has tough rim around it so don't press too hard either. The build and quality certainly is brilliant as it looks very contemporary and stylish and was beautifully packaged too.Not a bad product, especially at that price! I would most certainly recommend it!!

A good price, and great for a standard rubber-tipped stylus for most typing / scrolling purposes. Comfortable, quality feel and weight, and works perfectly straight out of the box (unlike my experience with cheaper rubber tipped styli, which often take considerable "wearing in" times before the rubber becomes soft enough to be useful).Combined with my new Adonit Jot Pro stylus, I feel I now have the best of both worlds. This second stylus is brilliant for drawing apps, but a bit noisy at tapping for typing. (I also feel I need to constantly wipe both it and the screen, to avoid possibly scratching my iPad screen with any trapped tiny dirt layer.) This soft, rubber tipped stylus has no such issues, making it the ideal partner for all non-illustration purposes.

This is pleasant to hold and to use. As other reviews state, the weight is well balanced so it feels like holding a nice pen. It's an overall pleasant experience.I use mine on both the iPad and occasionally for the iPhone too. On the iPad it's great for drawing - possibly better than for writing, but I suspect this is the case for any touch-screen stylus. It takes some getting used to and, because it needs quite a lot of pressure, it's easier to write using one of the wider "nib" widths, making handwriting larger and less elegant than I'd like.Still, I'm using it for all my every day note-taking at work so the iPad has largely replaced the paper notebook I used to use. This is a good little stylus, and worth the money in my opinion.
