This is my second Nalgene Tritan. The first one developed a lid leak after 2 years of HEAVY use. It had been fumbled repeatedly, floated down a river after a kayak flipped, got dropped down a hill on a hike, used a a toddler toy for teething and throwing, banged around in the bottom of a book bag almost every day, and generally product tested by everything the real world could throw at it. I'm not sure why the leak developed, but one day it started pooling water in its lid and would slowly leak out if held anyway but upright (which it never was because of book bag). I'm guessing after heavy use, the thread in the lid wore away just enough to let a little water through over time.Would I order this product again if this one develops a leak down the road too?

I like this bottle a lot. First, you'd be surprised how difficult it is to find a simple, BPA free, 20-24 oz, bottle with a simple screw on lid. I've lost count of how many bottles with gimmick lids and wacky tops I looked through to find this one. The bottle is billed as a "wide mouth", but really its not. The mouth of the bottle is medium sized which make its even better because you can drink this in car while moving and the mouth isn't so wide as to allow fluid to spill out the sides of your mouth. My only complaints is that I would have been happy to give up 4 oz and have a 20 oz bottle that fits into my car cup holder. I'm not going to ding the bottle for that because I knew it wouldnt fit before I ordered.

The bottle works great. The mouth is wide enough for me to drop lemon wedges in without being large enough for them to fall out while drinking. Color is nice and the plastic is thick. I really like the hole at the top, which makes carrying easy. Having said that, the bottles arrive dirty. Washing bottles prior to use is a given, but these required the matte textured lids to be scrubbed clean. The first bottle arrived really dirty; I was sent a brand new one right away (arrived really quick--not much of an inconvenience). The second bottle arrived dirty as well, but I'm not going to send this one back. The bottom half of the water bottle is covered in plastic, so it stayed clean.

I chose to buy this water bottle because it's easy to clean. I was drinking out of one of those slimmer, metallic bottles. One day, while trying to reach into its narrow opening to clean it, I found some kind of slime inside. Keep in mind that I did clean this bottle on a regular basis. I just couldn't reach into it very well and did not buy a special brush.So I threw that bottle out right away and went on Amazon to find the simplest water bottle I could find. This Nalgene is wide enough that I can fit a regular dish brush inside to wash it. It' clear, so I can see any weird things growing inside. There's no moving parts in the cap: no fancy sippers that can harbor bacteria over time.It's basic.

this bottle is awesome, it is made to a very high quality with a nice quality rubberised lid and mice large loop to hold the bottle, the plastic is very strong and not cheap feeling, i don't think you would be disappointed with the quality, it hold liquid securely with no leaks or drips.its a drinks bottle and as such it ticked all the boxes for my needs plus the colour is nice and bright too.don't worry about the other silly over the top negative review because lets be honest the review was totally unfair for some minor basic storage dust, and anyway EWWW what type of person would not wash something like this before using it as a matter of basic hygiene no matter how clean or dirty if was delivered?Don't be put off i found this to be a very good bottle.

This bottle is perfect! I really like the nalgene brand. I find it's one you can trust. For those of you reading this review it is not dishwasher safe so make sure you do hand wash your bottle if you decide to get one. This product is awesome though. I've got some wonderful comments about my stylish bottle. I also love the texture of the lid. It really makes it easy to grip. I ordered the orange bottle, but the picture of the bottle after my order still remained pink. I was nervous I was going to end up with a pink bottle but they got the color right and I am very happy with my buy. It's just the right size too. It seems like the 32 ounce bottles are always so bulky, but this 24 ounce bottle is slender and sleek.

Solid bottles. A little hard to clean, but 5 star review anyway. I needed 3 high quality bottles for drinking Soylent and they needed to be a certain capacity. Since I was buying 3 of them I was not about to drop 20+ on some fancy shmancy bottle to drink my beige goop. One of the has been dropped, while full on a hard concrete floor, landed right on the bottom corner. It hit, and shot across the floor. The energy of the fall didn't go into the bottle, but into continued motion. It had a teeny scratch where it hit the ground and a few scuff marks from sliding across the concrete, but was otherwise fine.Bottom line, I think these are solid, well made and inexpensive (when buying online)

I love this bottle. I do not like bottles with complicated caps or where you have to sip through some sort of opening. I like a wide mouth, screw the top on type of bottle and this is the best I've found. The bottle is great for clipping to a backpack or laptop case with a carabiner. I own about 5 of them.So why only 4 stars? The bottle itself is very durable and made of thick Nalgene. Very sturdy. But if you drop the bottle when full on a hard surface, the top section with the threads (to which the top screws) will crack, making the water bottle leak and need to be replaced. I've had this happen several times. That said,

this is my 2nd Nalgene bottle and also ordered a third as well . I was clued in to Nalgene by a friend of minewho hikes and mountain climbs and she is just an all around outdoorsy person . She told me that she haddropped her numerous nalgenes several times and not one has ever broken . I can now also attest to thefact that I drink more water with these bottles and can keep track of how much water I am getting and I'msure my body is happier over that as well . I love these bottles I really do and I m impressed with their wear andtear . Thank you Nalgene for making such an excellent product and thank you Liberty mountain for making theshopping of this bottle easy .

Love this bottle. I’ve had a few bad experiences with metal bottle rusting around the mouthpiece. I then switched to glas bottles in silicone sleeves (MIU in both large 30oz and small 20oz purchased on Amazon). I really like these, the mouthpiece is wide, the water stays so cold...but I had to replace both sizes - i dropped them, they broke. I didn't expect durability -but they were a bit too fragile for everyday use. Which led me to this...this bottle is AWESOME! Very thick and sturdy plastic, does ‘t scratch, twist on top is secure and leakproof. Little loop molded into the cap is perfect for hooking my finger into it to carry. I finally found my perfect bottle.

These water bottles are perfect. I have searched high and low, and tried many bottles for my two girls, 4 and 6. These don't get scratched up easily, are so easy to clean, come in pretty colors and no spots for mold or any other gross germy stuff to hide. My older daughter takes her pink bottle to school. She stays hydrated. We live in the desert so we take large bottles of water with us every time we go out. I have a wide mouth Nalgene water bottle. It is larger and also the best water bottle I have ever had. So great not to have little spots that you can't reach to clean. I just use a little soapy water every couple of days to keep these germ free and sparkly.

Nearly invincible as Nalgene should be. There are lots of stress fracture cracks in the very top of the bottle at the top off the threads but no sign of outright failure any time soon. I use this every day, all week. Number of open/close cycles per day is dozens. It doesn't leak. Period. However, if you leave liquid on the threads then that is outside the seal and will "leak"/drip. Generally easy to hand clean with the exception of the deepest threads. A dishwasher handles the job without issue. So far, rock star bottle. Minor complaint is that is doesn't fit in standard cup holder.

I really like this bottle. I got it for use at Coachella and it's holding up well. I even dropped it on it's side on the street yesterday when it was full of water and there were no cracks. Doesn't get moldy or gross when you forget it somewhere either and easy to clean. It actually holds 32 oz of water but the markings on the bottle go up to 24 oz. Yes the cap does stain and get dirty pretty easily but thats not a problem for me. It doesn't leak either! I had a knock off hydroflask that was leaking CONSTANTLY and this solves that problem.

I've had of these orange nalgene bottles for the last 8 years (orange is a color of my alma mater). I took it everywhere; gym, class, work, hiking/camping, international traveling, etc. It was starting to visibly wear a little. It still held water and sealed perfectly but it had many scrapes and dings and the lid looked like it was attacked by a bear. I was getting comments from coworkers like "you still drink out of that?" so I bought a new one for work and use my old one for other things.Simply put: durable water bottle, nice color.

I bought this bottle after my teen daughter used hers for a month or so. She bought it because she needed a wide mouth opening to make pouring quick and easy for a mission trip to El Salvador. She dropped it, it rolled in gravel, and besides it being a little scratched up it is still just fine. I didn't notice the scratches she point them out. It has a nice loop to carry it by or add a clip to be able to clip to a belt loop or purse strap. I really love this water bottle and would buy it again in a heartbeat if I lost or damaged it.
