This unit does not have the impressive modem vectoring abilities of the Zyxel VMG1312-B10A, and nothing in its make-up compensates for this massive disadvantage. Consequently the Zyxel VMG1312-B10A will nail up your connection better, maximise bandwidth and SNR on the line, and perform almost as well as a top flight enterprise VDSL modem. This piece of hardware isn't a scratch on its sibling and isn't worth buying in my opinion, even if it is a far cheaper piece of kit. But if mediocre appeals to you then there are even better mediocre offerings by other manufacturers. I cannot think of any reason to buy one of these. Get the sibling Zyxel VMG1312-B10A instead.
